You say this, today my dad has driven his company car through a small stream but by doing so the engine has cut out and cannot be started... he's due a new car ( lease ) on Friday... Not looking good for him haha. PLEB!
-
Don't have to apologise buddy, totally okay
-
Hahaha I'll park it in the living room! Don't need a tv for entertainment, just let the V8 idle But tbh the Zed to me doesn't do it in the sound department. It's fairly good, but nothing matches an American V8 - Especially the LSx variety from GM
-
Shame you didn't even get run over by a nice car Sucks they did that to you buddy, but glad you recovered!

I see why you're nicknamed Irn Bru I think bronze would clash too much the sunset personally, but might also compliment it. Bit of a risk!! Find a few colours you like, get some forum photoshop guru's to play with them and then toss a coin?

Woah, stop right there! £16K a year and you're looking at buying a car worth more than twice that? That's the very definition of insanity. Unless you can buy it outright with cash, there's no planet on which buying a brand new Mustang would make any sense at all, not on those wages. I mean, how much is the rent and utilities on the place you're living at now? That's got to account for a massive chunk of your wages, surely. Ummm the massive sum of £0 All I pay for is my car. Parents pay for food and rent is free. Yes I realise I sound like a spoiled brat, but hey.

Care to elaborate? I don't quite get where you're going with this? The big romantic Valentine gesture!!!! Preparing OH for Mustang instead of nest lol Only joking, thought your other thread was lovely She's actually on board with me getting a Mustang haha she said it's my money, and I worked for it, so I get to choose how I spend it The pro's of being very early 20's aye?

I'm leaning towards tyres as the other have said, maybe size/alignment check is needed too. I've gone foot flat in 2nd/3rd round a corner in the rain and only wiggled a tiny bit, and my tyres only have 3,5mm left on them all round, Falken 453's if that helps. Is it everywhere, or only in certain places? I have a nasty corner on my way to work that I don't feel safe taking faster than at the posted speed limit, yet I have taken harder and faster turns on private land much faster. It could be down to bad road surface too perhaps?

I had a look at mortgages, even if I double my wages, I'd still be looking at £650-£700 a month for the next 35 years -.- Granted that's only a £20k deposit, but I can't see how I can get much more than that. The banks I found will only lend me around £35k for a house on my wages of £16k a year, accounting for the £300 a month expenses like fuel/insurance etc. I don't have a partner to chip in for repayments as she is going to be a med school student soon ( hopefully it all pans out for her ) and then she hasn't got the money or even spare time for a job over the next 5-7 years I think it is! It sucks, cause I wholeheartedly agree that property will not lose you money, provided it's kept in a good condition, will actually make money usually... but it's so hard to get on the ladder!
-
Well we have different definitions of cheap haha but I know what you're saying. The depreciation is a hard hit, but the fact it's quite a rare car/hard to get hold of should help keep prices quite high, I'm thinking they'll be similar to a 370z for resale to be honest. Not too bothered to be honest, I know it's a lot of money but it's worth it in my eyes. We'll see anyway, it's a long way away
-
I can afford it quite comfortably, but not at the moment, so I'll still have about a year with the Zed I reckon ,without making my life hell to only pay bills and not go out etc I plan on keeping the 'Stang for a damn long time, always dreamed of having one, just with the S550 it's not physically possible I doubt the cars will lose money in the first 9 months or so, due to the short supply and huge demand, but look at the BMW 4 series, they didn't budge an inch for the first 3 months, and now they are cheap as chips! My heads focused on clearing the debt at the moment, then depending on what the other half is doing with her life, house might be more possible and then that will be the better option.

My dad had a polished lip on his wheels, had to use a scourer/steel wool every fortnight as they just turn black with road dirt that can't be washed off. Had them refurbished and painted a fresh lacquer on top to try and prevent it, but that only lasted 2 months and essentially the same happened again, only now the lacquer would lock in the dirt and it would be stuck there underneath! Maybe try getting them painted a different colour?

Pahaha the kind of houses for sale locally to me for £100k/mustang money I think I'd rather live in the car pahaha utter crap!!! I do however own multiple shotguns and figure if I ask nicely they'll give me money? Just hope they don't ask for it back Although having said that, they might give me free housing and food for 10+ years!!! Haha
-
Oh wow I didn't know that! I figured once it's set at a certain mileage that's the contract formed, so most people over estimate it to be safe. I will call Ford some point during the week, thinking of just taking a loan, depends which is better APR etc I was told the wait for a V8 is around that yes, but I can't commit just now, might be moving jobs soon and not sure on how fast I can save up £9k hahaha I haven't driven a GTR no, they are out of my price range, and I can't afford to run one, but maybe one day
-
I CAN'T!!! That V8 is intoxicating hahaha and the fact it's a brand new car, cheap maintenance ( relatively speaking of course, a 1.1 corsa is cheaper but no thank you sir! ) and warranty etc is just a bargain. The fact I'm 21 and the insurance is cheaper than my 350z is just a bonus £140 a month is a bit steep but it comes down soon ish to around £75 for the Zed and nearer £80 for the 'Stang You not a fan of the mustang, or just thinking like a responsible adult? My parents want me to buy a studio flat instead, which I can't afford lol
-
Well after some exciting maths and confusion, I worked out once I'm debt free I can officially afford one My only issue is I can't seem to work out what's cheaper - getting a lower mileage limit and paying a fee for going over, or just getting the higher limit in the first place. I don't know what sort of mileage I will be doing but I'd estimate around 10k a year. I'm thinking of just getting the 9K limit at then paying the fee's for going over as and when it happens, what do you think? My other issue is that I can only afford PCP , and the balloon figure at the end scares me - Can I refinance that? I won't be able to run and live with the mustang as well as having to safe up £15k or so in 3 years. Anyone more familiar with PCP? Ideally I only want to spend at most £350 a month on this , meaning around a £12,750 deposit to start with - so around £7500 from the Z when it sells and then save £5k or so in general. Sounds doable, but I still owe £5k on the Z and another £3k or so on other debts around the house like fancy tvs and toys Credit cars are a bad influence! What do you think people? Can I have one by this time next year? a kickass (albeit late) new years resolution perhaps??

How have I not thought of this! Getting annoyed with the water/condensation in my car every time I drive it. Embarrassing to sit there with a shammy to dry it Gonna give this a go soon, thanks
-
The issue with going back to stock is your car will need to be remapped would it not?
-
If selling to a forum member I'd list both prices, as generally people here understand those mods are the "norm" and don't affect it much at all. Personally I like buying and keeping my cars close to OEM, bar maybe wheels and some fresh paint/interior touches type of thing. I personally wouldn't use trade in as a forum member, or some other private buyer would buy your car quickly anyways. My dad recently traded in his car for £4800, the dealer is now selling it for £6500 - not unusual but I'm sure we coulda gotten closer to that quite easily
-
I did that, but I used a Mercedes M113 engine lol. Bought the entire thing, still running, for £300 delivered! Sold a lot of it n got a nice 5.0 V8 table. Be warned, it's a lotta work taking them apart while trying not to break things, and you'll spend double your budget making it haha. Had mine powder coated in a bright silver, and used conrods/pistons for feet/arms for the glass. Conrods were painted gunmetal for a bit of contrast. And glass is more expensive than you might think! I was surprised by the price of glass, in a good way. Mine was I think £40. Link below for some pictures of my Z coffee table. Had the block powder coated silver, rods gunmetal. Then pistons and top faces of block mirror polished. Still looks great a year on And it has LEDs http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/93863-my-z-based-coffee-table-is-finally-complete/ Alex - might be after a couple of pistons (no rods) in the near future for my next furniture idea. How much would 2 with postage be? Cheers, Matt You wouldn't happen to have had it done in Ferndown by TheWheelSpecialist would you?

I drove the same one at Eastleigh. How did you leave without ordering! I couldn't do it. Got a Blue one on order for delivery in August/September. I'm so excited! Cause I'm lacking in the funds department haha got too many other commitments going and I'm planning on leaving my job soon But dear god it was tempting! That V8!!! I found the brakes uncomfortably sensitive, what about you?
-
Photobucket isn't working right now :/ Ummm I saw Chris Harris' review and agree with the points he made. It is a big, fun, feel good car I can't comment on the GTR as I personally haven't driven one, but you can't go wrong with either!
-
Unfortunately not :/ was too busy driving and excited haha my dad too a cringe-worthy video though? I'll upload it in a sec Sounds so quiet in the video, but trust me when I say it's loud.

SOOOOOOOOO I'M EXCITED!!!!!!! I just got back from a test drive at Eastleigh Ford in the new mustang. God I need one! I only got a short 15 min spin or so, and couldn't hammer it, cause rain and a £2,500 excess!!!! But wow, it's like a Zed on steroids. Lovely and comfortable with a nice tone to the exhaust/engine, yet lay into it a little and it's waves of torque and noises are fantastic! Got a thumbs up and a honk from a trucker at the lights, made me feel good! I don't have much else to say, I'm too excited haha but it was definitely an eye opener. Sorry but anyone going from a 350z for an upgrade to maybe a 370z or sub £40k car, please consider it! The interior finish is a damn side better than pictures have lead me to believe, and there's something about it, it's special Just PLEASE no 2.3 Ecoboost.
