Some "interesting" things about it... https://www.carthrottle.com/post/8-things-you-need-to-know-about-the-592bhp-jaguar-xe-sv-project-8/

Having just googled the new insignia interior... I agree. Jesus Jag. SORT IT OUT.

I don't like the front but the rest is okay, as I say, the Germans do it better. The wing is a bit marmite, part of me thinks it's a bit much, then the other part of me thinks it suits the "MAD" theme it's got going. Realistically, these will all be bought and half will be stored, never to drive again, 15 will be crashed/written off by some youngster showing off... maybe 10 will be used for the track/fun driving and the remainder will cruise around not being used for their full purpose....

I'm not really a fan of the JLR brand, the only ones that appeal to me are the F type and that MUST be a v8, and LR SVR - both their flagships and not a "realistic" car to ever own. I found the XE a bit crap when comparing it to similarly priced Germans, but that's just my taste.... until this! http://www.carbuzz.com/news/2017/6/28/Jaguar-XE-SV-Project-8-Unveiled-With-200-000-Price-Tag-7739870/ NSFW - It has a lot of power and might excite you

I'm a bit tired of my stuff rolling around in the boot, and my 350 had a net.... so are they the same? I think Nissan want like £100 for a net... they can shove it. Can anyone recommend a cheap alternative? Thanks

Oh cool thanks I've never even looked into owning spiders actually. Some do look amazing. Do you have much experience of spiders? A bit different, but many years ago I had stick insects and a mantis. I did buy the BRB last Saturday, she is gorgeous. Only snapped at me (and sucessfully got me) once! She already seems calmer since Saturday though Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk Nice BRB! I want a "big" snake next, but this might change once mine gets to her full size of 4 foot... My SO is trying to convince me that a chameleon is a good idea, and while cute, they don't have the same "coolness" as a 4 foot + snake

I forgot I had these, until quite honestly it fell off the top of the cupboard.... My mechanic took them off to fit an HR exhaust to me Revup, so I have no idea what cars they fit, but the part numbers are as follows 74815 CD800 and 74814 CD800 - Obviously left and right. Ideally I'd like them collected, but I can deliver local to Bournemouth ish area or we can meet half way. Ebay suggests they are around £60 for a pair, but I'm more than happy to match/beat traders on here - That being said, I don't want to steal their business/undercut them too much! I'm sure we can work out a price, so open to sensible offers, otherwise tbh I'll bin them. Collection only/local delivery to Bournemouth area +/- 20 miles PLEASE BE ADVISED, THEY ARE FROM A 10 YEAR OLD CAR, SO WILL HAVE RUST, AS IS THEIR NATURE. Pics are below

First time buyer advice - Taylor Wimpey new build house
Mikevv replied to Jay M1988's topic in Off Topic Discussion
I looked into buying a "new build" for ages.... kept bouncing between many companies... all have their horror stories. Some use substandard piping... others cut corners on electrics.... some cut corners literally, like the fitment was crap. All I can say is do a LOT of research, and get stuff in writing. -
Thanks Is a sealant really needed? Nobody seems to be able to tell me definitively if it goes on before or after wax hahaha Like apaz you can do either...?
-
So I've decided to add these to my basket but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Bilt Hamber snow foam Gyeon Bathe, I don't quite get the difference for Bathe +? Is it really worth it? I find £18 for 1L of washing liquid pretty expensive already so £28 is mad. Polished Bliss Wheel woolies Bilt Hamber Double speed wax

New member.... here.... just ordered my first ZED
Mikevv replied to acemodder's topic in Introductions & Welcome Messages
Stop one upping me! '67 plate hopefully??? Welcome along -
So I was parking up earlier... and I only just realised how much I really dislike the look of the handbrake lever. Has anyone done anything to spruce it up? I have no idea how it comes out/off so that's another story hahaha but show me whatcha got/done!

I can also vouch for Jack. I didn't have perforated sides, but the leather. Wow. Such high quality, and the workmanship is fantastic whilst the price is more than fair, even offers a service where you swap your wheel when you get there so you can keep your car on the road.

Can I ask how tall ? Over 6'2 ?

Insurance is about £1100 for me for a year, not that much considering the car. My mates are all a little bit lower for small shitboxes hahaha Fastest car is an 07 Fiesta ST and he pays around £500 a year, but I over double the power so I don't quite see how his is a "bargain"

Why not go to Nissan and test drive one? Will you be buying new? What's your budget? I'm 22 and the dealer let me take it for a 2 hour test drive with my GF once they found out how serious I was about buying it - Just go ask and be polite and up front. If you can't afford one just yet tell them you won't be buying today due to not having the funds, but it's on the cards. They'll appreciate the honesty and won't bother you with sales talk as much

I want to do this as my next mod. I'm assuming you can't really tint the side windows, only the little quarter ones? Don't want anything not legal thats all

I expected another R35 thread... but damn. Love the R34. IMO the best looking, but inside needs work hahaha. Lovely car, and good luck with your search. Extra points if you get one in midnight purple

I agree with what you've said, my paint is usually pretty clear cause I hose off anything before it gets baked on, and it's washed regularly anyways. I might get wheel woolies, because I can't get my hands in half the barrel of the front due to the spoke design/calipers so the wash mitt wont really fix that either. Thanks for the tips, I will do a search and read that

Thanks, will do some research and check out the products/forums I only have 3 megs products, the wash, the mitt and towels, cause it came as a bundle and I was told Megs is good stuff to use for just basic washes etc I don't see it as a bad product, and I find it cheap tbh. I laugh at people who moan at it being £10 a bottle, yet pay £15 to have someone BADLY wash their car...

Hey guys, I've always been in the " wash it and its good enough " camp... but soon after getting my first 350z I started looking more into it. I left the dreaded sponge behind when I sold my first car and got the Zed, then got rid of Simoniz products ( yeah.... ) and most recently, have become half addicted to Larry @ AMMO NYC's videos... now I'm a snob about swirls hahaha. I see a '17 plate car with swirls and all kinds of defects and I just don't get how people manage to inflict so much damage so quickly. Anyways! As I'm new to this, I don't really want to throw my life savings into it ( Fun fact, they equal 0 but you get the point ) So far all I do is the following: Hose car so its nice and cool if needed Snow foam using Autobrite lance + foam - which reminds me, I've run out, so what is out there that you'd suggest? Let it drip for 5-10 mins, then hose off Check car over for any missed bits of grit etc Make sure car is nice and wet Wash with Megs wash mitt and Megs ultimate - Starting with the roof, working my way down. Rinsed after every panel, and checked for dirt roughly half way through each panel Dry using Megs Microfiber towels Wash wheels with megs too, but not a mitt - need something that will work well, rather than a sponge. Now what bugs me is... well, bugs! Everything seems to stick to my car lately, and a simple hose off doesn't seem to work anymore. I normally hosed my car down every few days to get stuff off, like bird bombs and other sticky things. I've put it down to not having a protective coating, and that leads me to here. My plan is to update my washing routine to the following, so feel free to chime in, and any feedback or suggestions are welcome. I haven't bought any products yet, going to try and rope the other half into buying it for an "anniversary gift "... The snow foam lance was a Christmas gift hahaha So, here we go - This is based on videos I've seen so bare with me. Hose the car down to get it cool if needed Snow foam using Autobrite lance + foam Let it drip for 5-10 mins, then hose off Maybe use some form of fallout remover? or is this over kill? Check car over for any missed bits of grit etc Make sure car is nice and wet Wash with Megs wash mitt and Megs ultimate - Starting with the roof, working my way down. Rinsed after every panel, and checked for dirt roughly half way through each panel (Optional) Clay the car with Bilt Hamber bar, rarely needs it IMO Dry using Megs Microfiber towels Polish the car using Megs Deep Crystal Wax using Megs NXT Wash wheels with Megs Ultimate Use some form of sealant on the wheels ( Brake dust from OEM pads is a nightmare ) Now, I've probably missed something, so feel free to add in Also, it's a Storm White car, so that might influence some products?

I like BRB's, colours are amazing, but unfortunately just a bit too big for me at the moment. I'd love a retic

Don't most petrol engines only come "on cam" at like 3-4k? My 2 litre E46 318i made no power below like 4k hahaha embarrasing to floor it :S

Oh and be careful with the soft as butter wheels, I have scratched the diamond cut by washing it with a wheel brush... Only on one part between spokes, but still its god damned ugly. Thinking of plastidipping them black now :S
