Battery for sure. Just because your car started through the day the day before doesn't mean the battery isn't goosed. Winter exposes weak batteries. get a multimeter on it first thing in the morning, before starting it. If it's less than 12.6v, it's your battery

If I'm going to Asda in Chester, I tend to park in a field not far from Snowdonia. It's the main problem of owning these cars. No where to park. -

I wouldn't supply my own oil. I used to see people come in to the garages I worked in and supply their own. That oil goes in the mechanics car, and you get what's in the 50 gallon drum

I believe a refurb is about £600. A second hand box is about £350-800+ But you always roll the dice on a second hand box unless you can feel it working in a vehicle. I bought a second hand box and got extremely lucky. That's all it is though, luck.
