  1. Thanks for this, I new to all of this stuff, so I will hold off. To be honest i didn't realise there was so many compounds and polishes and tools etc. I should learn to walk before i try to run. It just seemed to takes ages, and arm hurt afterwards maybe i was being to rigid when applying the wax on, or the fact that i am not use to cleaning a car LOL
  2. sorry to dig up an old post, but would you recommend DAS6 for a total beginner and I mean a total beginner, I've just started to wash my car for the very first time of any car that I have owned. So far I'be purchased a Karcher K4, with all the car Karcher add-ons, Will use Karcher Deep Ultra Foam as a pre wash just to get rid of dirt etc before I start to use the Meguiars cleaning products I want to standardised on Meguiars as it seems to have good reviews and it seems to be at a reasonable price. I am just looking to keep the car clean and looking nice, not looking to do detailing or anything advanced like that, I want a polisher just to apply the wax and polish, cant be arsed to do it by hand as I am totally lazy. on a side not used Meguiars wax which I applied by hand, I know I missed a few spots, but for the very first time I had beading on my car. I even think I might take up cleaning my car as a hobby. lol TIA
  3. Upon reflection maybe an initial first phone call should have been made, but to be honest It, I very much doubt it would have changed anything. However I will never know. Anyway time to move forward with things. For the very first time in my life, I got the urge to clean my car instead of taking it to the local car wash. I think I will invest my time and effort in cleaning the car, it quite nice not to sure about the winter months.
  4. When I emailed the manager, I gave him my phone number for him to call me to discuss the situation, but they did not call. Which I am quite glad in one sense. As we emails I can use as evidence if things got worse. Previous experience when calling dealer has not been successful as they always seem to be busy with a customer. Which is why now the majority of my communications is done via email. Its a sad state of affairs that you have to rely on emails for evidence especially if things goes wrong. To be honest I'm glad its all been sorted. I need to reflect on my next steps as this issue has now been resolved, without any real damage apart from the headache. Also it allowed me to experience the poor quality of service this Nissan dealer provided. All they are after is your money they don't care about after-sales care. I may log complaint with Nissan HQ just to let them know of the situation, but I doubt anything will happen.
  5. Hi folks, I don't often post, i tend to lurk on forums. However I wanted to post my recent experience when I purchased my 370z, so other new buyers should be made aware, this is not limited to 370 but to any car purchase. Over a number of years I have purchased new cars under a PCP contract. As usual I did the same with the 370. So here goes the story:- I picked up the car on the 1st May all was well and everything was ok, driving the car was pure pleasure birds was singing and I was content. On the 27th May another normal at work until I got home, I opened a letter and to my surprise and shock seat finance was asking for payment as they was unable to take payment from my bank account as I cancelled my DD. Now my Direct debit for seat was due to come out on the 21st of each month, now this should not have been an issue, as the dealer should have settled the agreement ages ago. So the following day 28th May I contacted Seat finance to enquire about the letter and to discuss the problem. They informed me that they have not received any settlement for my seat car, and also to add injury to my wound they was going to mark down my credit file for late payment. I explained to seat finance that I have part exchange my car and this should have been settled by the dealer, to give credit to seat finance they was understanding, and they suggested the following to resolve my situation and also to save my credit from being black listed for late payment. They asked me to contact the dealer and get them to email them the following details :- Proof of bacs payment and an email from the dealer confirming the late payment was there fault and not by the customer. After I got of the phone I was feeling quite confident that the dealer would be able to provide the relevant information. I emailed the dealer who dealt with me originally and I asked them to provide me with the information. A couple of hours later I get an email from the dealer saying he could confirm the payment was sent. I then had to email back again asking when was the payment sent he confirms in an email the payment was sent 27th May. I then spoke to seat finance who said they would still like proof of this otherwise the black mark against my name still stands and of course they still want payment as well. I then again emailed the dealer requesting the proof on 2 more occasions as the response from the dealer very short and each time no proof was sent. 29th May First thing I checked with seat finance to see if they have received payment and yet again no payment. at this point I was getting worried. If payment was not forthcoming pretty damn soon I would have to pay my monthly payment for the seat, a car I no longer have and also for my 370z. plus the fact what was annoying me more was the bad mark against my name. Enough was enough. I emailed the dealer again this time I was pi**ed very pi**ed... From: angry customer Sent: 29 May 2015 09:28 To: dealer; seat finance Subject: Re: ********************* name, So far no email or payment has been sent to seat finance. on my previous emails I did ask for the following information, Bacs payment number data and amount, however this was not done. I am now formally requesting Nissan Dealer to provide Seat finance by 12:00pm the following information and evidence, and also accept liability for the late payment to Seat Finance re settlement of my Seat Leon car. If this information has not been received by the time specified. I will then seek to make an official complaint with Nissan and seeking further guidance from the finance ombudsman, if this matter has not been resolved to my and Seat Finance satisfaction. When communicating with Seat Finance I would like to be copied into all communications with them. 12:10pm No response from dealer and I then checked again with Seat finance to see if they received the email from the dealer and payment. yet again to my dismay nothing. So this time I got managers name and email address of the dealer that sold me the 370z and emailed him directly within 2 hours this issue was resolved. He emailed seat finance proof of Bacs payment and accepted liability for late payment was entirely the dealers fault and not the customer, He gave some lame excuse the reason why the payment was late, was due to staff holidays, what a crock of sh*t. What was revealing about this situation was the following :- 1, At no point did anyone from the dealer apologies for this situation. 2. The dealer lied to me and I had proof. The reason why I say the dealer lied to me was this, I actually got a copy of the Bacs payment. They sent the Bacs payment on the 29th May and not on the 27th May as stated. In fact the only reason why the payment was sent was because I made the manager aware of the situation. Anyway I'm glad its over, however buyers be aware make sure your previous agreement has been settled its still your responsibility. I've always left it to the dealer to sort out, and on previous occasions it has always be fine. However from now on I will be on my guard, Anyway rant over. Hopefully from now on it will be happy motoring, Now I just need to find a new dealer. I dont want them servicing my car as the trust has been broken.
  6. Welcome to the forum. i bet you cant wait till you pick up Your car. Now to find some decent driving roads.
  7. I was on my way day to visit got of M20 to join A20 and boy traffic queue was awful on the A20, I decided to tun around and travel back, day was not wasted was playing around with the dashcam to see what the quality was like. I hope everyone that attended Supercar siege is having a good day.
  8. back from my driving loved every minute of it. I stopped off at halfords today and purchased a dashcam. Not sure why i purchased it, but i will set it up and see how it goes.
  9. some great advice, thanks everyone, defo want to get the atp exhaust bypass, i user my car as a daily car, so when i want it quite i have the option thanks for the tyre advice as well, will defiantly take my time parking the car now from now on. I can still hear the grinding noise in my head. well only had the car for 3 weeks, so still got the novelty of driving this lovely car, so going to take it for a spin looks like it might be a nice day. must admit the standard exhaust it pretty pore in terms of noise.
  10. Thanks for that will look them up, see what they recommend. its been 2 days and I am still p*ssed off at myself for curbing the wheel.
  11. Hi folks, just a couple of questions pretty please. I am looking for a garage that can supply and fit the ATP Exhaust bypass, I like the idea of having the ability to be able to switch from a quite to a loud exhaust. I'm looking for a dealer in and around the Bromley in Kent area. Also i curbed the rear alloy i have upload the picture of the rear tyre, apparently it cant be repaired because of the colour match, they said the best way to fix this is to powder coat the wheel, but it needs to go away for 3 days. So i am looking for a good repair service in the roley area, any advice much appreciated. Thanks Glyn
  12. Hi all, so yesterday i picked up my car, drove it straight back home and left it over night. first thing this morning i took it for a drive and on the motorway. Ive got to say road noise, is not noticeable, in fact the Seat Leon supercopa was worse. Yes the exhaust has to be replaced at some point, but to be honest I am quite happy with the way it is. Two things that's quite anoying about the car. 1.) drink holder where my bottle of water sits gets in the way when changing gear. (will have to find another place) 2. 5 and 6 gear just does not seem to have much pickup. maybe its new, things need to settle down, but i am really happy with the car, what also surprised me the most about the car, is the quality of the sound from the manufacturer. I've always had to change the speakers in cars, but in this car there is no need. only thing that bugs me is the limitations of storage size and folders. I stuck in a 256GB USB it did not recognise it, had to rush out and buy a 64GB memory stick and downsize my music collection, also adjusting the audio quality. I'm now looking forward to spending the next couple of years enjoying the 370, maybe not enjoying the petrol consumption, but its worth it.
  13. Wow, what a lovely and warm welcome, thank you. First plan of action tomorrow, is to take it for a long drive just to get the feel of the car. tbh I cant remember how loud the exhaust is, If I was to replace the exhaust will it invalidate the warranty on the car? may need to check with the dealer. I've been reading on the forums, common issue some people are complaining about is the road noise from the wheels. So will listen carefully for this, but when i did my test drive. there was hardly any noticeable road noise or maybe I just did not hear it due to the excitement of driving the car
  14. Yep, brand new, not registered only 2 weeks old, soon to be 3 weeks when i pick it up i was shocked when they said I could have the one in the showroom, I was expecting at least an 8 week - 12 week time frame, I made that assumption based upon the seat. I must admit i was quiet eager to get the car ASAP, did not really want to wait. So it was a win win for me.
  15. Thanks i use this avatar quite a lot, the car in the pic is the one I'm actually getting.
  16. oh yer, They call it Gun metallic, i've got some picks of the car, i'll post them up in a minute pic attached for the colour.
  17. Just thought i would post on here. Friday I will be picking up my new 370GT Part ex my Seat Leon Supercopa abit of a jump but i thought to myself why not and treat myself. I was originally going to buy a Seat Leon Cupra 280 but because of the useless dealer and the lack of interest in dealing with me after 4 weeks of trying to arrange a test drive I gave up collected my deposit back and went out and purchased the 370 instead. Seat Loss and Nissan gain. However I must admit trying to get a 370 was hard enough, Nissan in Bromley was useless again I went down there on Sunday and the sales guy was useless and had no intrest in dealing with me, he told me I had to go to and alternative Nissan dealer. Maybe its my aftershave or something Anyway just wanted to say hi to everyone. Glyn
