  1. A quick Google suggests to me that the Havoc only really works in wide body format, otherwise the bumpers just look far too overdone. The GT-R look for me is a straight 'no'. As ever though, your car so do what you want. Modifying is only fun because of that possibility
  2. I'm a bit confused. You want to go from 8.5" ET15 to 9.5" ET2. That's an extra 13mm due to offset, and 12.7mm due to wheel width, so a total of 25 extra mm on the outside, compared with your current set up. So what don't you get?
  3. Well it was great publicity due to the youngest winner record, and publicity is the main point of F1... EDIT: Included quote.
  4. Why? I was suggesting the Red Bull deliberately cocked up Ricciardo's strategy to give Max the win. Not 100% serious though, although not 100% joking either
  5. Not sure if we'll see any big battles between Verstappen and Ricciardo reaching any kind of conclusion if the last race is anything to go by
  6. When they introduce reverse grids? I'm assuming that's a very hopeful 'when'.
  7. As I'm sure you know though G, that's a long way from a 380RS, not to mention that it seems like stroker kits are an awful lot of work (and money) for something that doesn't work properly if the US forum is anything to go by.
  8. Those are the OEM touring alloys. Not 100% sure, but should be somewhere around ET30 and 8/8.5" front/rear. The offset you want will depend on the width of the wheel, but with standard widths lots of people fit 20/25mm spacers, so take that from the standard offset. I haven't seen many wheels for sale with such low offsets though, so you'd be looking at wider wheels to get flush with the arch, which you'd need to factor in when calculating offset.
  9. The kit isn't to my taste but the whole thing does look very well executed - nice work
  10. Welcome Regarding the tyres, the best option would be to upgrade all round (MPSS being the common recommendation here for good performance in all conditions and good durability) but if you're on a tight budget then match the rears as they're fairly new.
  11. Nice motor mate, and good work not getting ditched by the wife after that stunt
  12. I'm still largely on the side of the schools here. Unless you feel that there is no reason for the fines to exist (the reason in question being that some parents don't care and will take their children on holiday enough that it has a negative impact), then really the rules have to be simple and easily imposed. Leaving it up to the discretion of the teachers is questionable. What if a holiday gets signed off because the parents are friends with the head?
  13. Some kind of reward system for good performance and attendance sounds reasonable, but in reality would probably be hard to administer and open to abuse.
  14. So only fine the parents if the kid is a waster?
  15. I don't see a problem with the fines in principle - I'd imagine they were introduced because some parents aren't responsible enough to ensure that their children have good attendance records, and a financial penalty is the only way to make them think twice. I think it's a reasonable compromise to stop parents taking the ****.
  16. Of course there will be a slow down in the economy straight after a leave vote, because investors will be wary of potential implications. Markets are fickle though, and go up or down at the slightest hint of confidence or caution, Dan's example of sterling dropping when the referendum was announced being an example. That doesn't necessarily mean that it will be fundamentally bad for the economy in the long run though which is of course what matters.
  17. To give you an idea about widths and offsets, here's mine. 9.5" and 10.5", ET25 all round. If you went 8.5" / 9.5", you'd have the outside of the wheels half an inch further in than this, then adjust for different offset. I'm lowered on Tein S, which is -17mm / -14mm front / rear. Oh, and mine are 19" so would look different if you're going for 18s, but you get the idea
  18. I wouldn't know about selling them on, but I'd imagine that you could find a buyer for a quality set of wheels like this. I would personally think about getting the right sizes for what you want. Obviously narrower wheels will be less flush with the arches with the same offset, but as grundy also said, to achieve a good filled arch look you'd really want to lower it a bit.
  19. Best one is Ari in this one...skill. Trying to follow the pace notes in these videos fries my brain... God knows how they do it while chucking a car down a narrow lane like that.
  20. Jacques Laffite and the F40 LM. Get that volume up
  21. Dayum. I only watched the embedded ones
  22. Well I loved the 4WD racing one in Gran Turismo (first one I think)
