  1. Whatever you do, do not use myhermes Edit:That we learn me not to read to the bottom of the thread first, too eager to advise against said Company
  2. It's worth noting that the link is about the consumer goods act which is the new act so it might be that we need to check the sales of goods act and the point where each act can be used in this circumstance, such as will it be the transaction date or the rejection date etc. I have a friend who is a solicitor so I threw it her way to see what she has to say, if she comes up with anything I will let you know. It might be a good starting point anyway.
  3. I stand corrected on the credit card front by the looks of things http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/problem/can-i-claim-on-my-credit-card-when-something-goes-wrong
  4. I did write a long answer to this but want really adding much value. Most people have it covered, look at the service kits on the traders pages for all that, tyres will depends on the wheels of course.. The MPG reported above are in line with mine and high octane is a must. Have a price up of Annual services of oils, filters and fluids Tyres (good ones) at 9000 miles per set Brake pads prob about the same as tyres, I have not changed mine yet so not sure. Insurance is anyone's guess Tax can vary in model 55 and up I think is the higher bracket mines £265 I think for a 04' plate Then add 10%. Consider the other service items as per the service schedule on this site depending on what mileage car you get and it's history. Edit: I though this was the short answer anyway
  5. I don't think it would cover the whole cost if it was part paid in another method..
  6. Ekona has pretty much summed up what I would have suggested, you won't get anywhere without ticking thoes boxes first. https://www.moneyadviceservice.org.uk/en/articles/your-rights-if-something-is-wrong-with-your-car Edit: Gutted for you though mate, I know the feeling but on a smaller scale.
  7. I hate insurance companies, they're a law to their own sometimes, whatever happened to innocent until proven and all that...(i know that's criminal law not civil). I had to started proceedings against Churchill insurance a number of years back for failing to investigate my accident properly. That's why I'm getting a camera.
  8. Bit odd you mentioned that it's worse in the cold.. Linda says to me something expands maybe to fill the gap when warm... Not sure what though
  9. Not really my thing but my missus calls it Nina
  10. Interestingly enough I also had a Japspeed, it's off the car now but nothing rattling on the exhaust itself. It won't be going back on, and whilst I had the wheels off I did the grease clicky axle fix on one side too so fingers crossed.
  11. I don't have a W-Brace and my fuel tank is still in its rightful place...
  12. I don't have one myself, other than cosmetics I personally don't think they do a lot, I have heard they can improve a wobbly idle on older motors but you certainty wont be gaining any power that's for sure. Personally I wouldn't bother, but that's just me and we will see what the others say.. I'm no expert on electrics but I would expect the highest current being moved around your engine will be on start up, so if it starts it will probably run alright from a grounding kits perspective from then on. If you have a lumpy idle, its probably more likely to be something else like spark plugs or a dodgy coil pack. Not to say a quick clean up of the existing connections wouldn't go amiss. If you were thinking about it, i'd look into making your own, if you cant be arsed still, traders on here will be able to help; i'm sure I saw some on Tarmac's site.
  13. Yeah, When I listened to recordings of the clicky axle but mine was completely different, I have not disregarded it however. I'm going to do the grease 'fix' on here whilst I have it apart, but I have to get a new socket as I have everything but. I will let you know if I get any improvements, I have also changed my drop links, diff oil change, and a lot of cleaning components, will be putting a new zorst on there too but ultimately won't be able to pin point what worked exactly...
  14. Also covered here with a pic for anyone interested http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/63671-cleaning-screen-washer-jets/
  15. I got this or something similar, I can't figure it out and have my whole rear end and suspension off at the moment because of it, Kind of sounds like a bag of 4 coins rattling twice when I accelerate away in a ching ching fashion so sounded like a loose joint or something for knocking back and fourth. Its definitely an exterior noise rather than interior/boot. I had an aftermarket exhaust on mine so I don't think the heat shield applies to me.. (Japspeed K1)
  16. my one of these has rusted to the point it has been taken off, I still think whats left of them are still attached to the lower member stays/kidney braces (which are stuffed and all... i'm waiting on some good condition replacements but they got returned to the sender because Hermes cant be trusted to do their job) Have not seen a decent W-Brace on Fleabay for a while now so was going for the ultra racing one as I think I got quoted over £200 by Nissan as GMB already mentioned/suggested above. Mine Passed the MOT, but I did get an advisory
  17. I guess the whole roadside robbery has dulled down in recent years..
  18. I got mine from Tegiwa Imports if I remember rightly... Think it was about £11/£12 quid delivered.
  19. At the moment I have a Japspeed K1 fitted, it's not really my cup of tea.. Why do I have it? Was on there when I bought it. Will I change it? Yes. But I'm not really into loud, I just want a nice sound.
  20. I was there Saturday for my 3rd. I didn't really think to post something up.. Well done mate.
  21. I have a K1 I could probably sell as I have been thinking of going back to a standard set-up for a bit - I'm South Coast. Chichester. I think its starting to crack on one of the joints ever so slightly but you can have the Y-Pipe back for £120 as it could do with a quick weld before it goes on.
  22. Pleasure doing business with you Ewen. Now I just need to fit all this stuff...
  23. Boom - arrived today, thanks for the Haribo! Wont be fitting for another week or two maybe more due to other stuff going on.
  24. I could do with a rear set if someone needs the front! (edit: or if you can split?)
