Thanks for all your responses everyone. I just got a quote back from Simpsons, which was £75. From what I've seen from my research & Veilside's comment, this seems quite high. I'll take a look into TNT and Paisley (although I'm still a tad apprehensive). The rays need refurbing anyway so I'm not sure what I'm being so paranoid about tbh I guess it's just because it's my first time buying/transporting wheels. Again thanks all, much appreciated!

Thanks a lot for your recommendation. I'll definitely check them out. I take it the seller would have to package them up prior to collection? Also, you don't happen to know where I can find out weight and dimensions of rays with tyres x4? I did find the below but I'm not sure what tyres add... First time changing wheels so it's all a bit confusing! Front Size: 18x8.0 Offset: +30mm Weight: 18.19lbs Tire: 225/45/18 Rear Size: 18x8.5 Offset: +33mm Weight: 18.62lbs Tire: 245/45/18

Car looks pretty good (although I hate the kick plates) so I think it's worth taking a look if you don't mind travelling, but I'd personally be very wary of the seller as his reviews aren't great at all. Looks like it recently passed it's MOT without any advisories: === MOT history of this vehicle Test date 5 November 2015 Expiry date 4 November 2016 Test Result Pass Odometer reading 40,715 miles MOT test number 5648 8577 5690 === Source - https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/

Hi guys, So... I finally got myself a set of rays but they're located in Shrewsbury. I'm based in Farnham, Surrey, so it'd be a 6 hour round trip. Although I might try and borrow my wife's Mazda 2, I'm exploring the possibility of getting a courier. Paisley Freight seems to be a name that comes up often, but there seems to be so many negative experiences of them (including Zmanalex) that I'd like to avoid them. Right now I'm leaning towards http://www.simpsontransport.com/ , but I was wondering if anyone had any other recommendations? Thanks in advance! Hodaka

Ahhhh ofc... Forgot there's a decimal place there!

Not sure how I feel about that. The account has good reviews etc... but is it just me or is there lots of missing pics that he mentions in his description? He mentions a dent + alloys shown in pics, but I don't see any of those pics. Also the odometer, what does the 64k under the 23k mean? Probably just me being thick but I thought that's the distance since last service/battery reset etc...?

Yeah, I'm very pleased! Finally get to rid my zed of the touring rims!

For that price, I thought it's worth a punt so went for it. Cheers for sharing I'm in no rush so might try refurbing it myself.

350z Strosek Style Rear spoiler (In Black) group buy
Hodaka replied to Tarmac@TarmacSportz's topic in Tarmac Sportz
That zed looks kinda familiar... On a more serious note, I highly recommend this spoiler. Really is great looking! There's a couple more angles on my Photobucket gallery if you're interested - just click on the image Chris posted above -
No problem at all. Sorry I couldn't provide more info. Hopefully someone with a 370z will chime in and will be able to provide more insight / advice.

Yeah it's a good guide Well other than the potential of having interference, I feel they're about the same in terms of effort required for installation. With the wired version you still have to feed the wire through the car to your HU. That took me a while to do... In fact, everything I do takes ages Again, please do do your own research on the receiver, but maybe you could connect that to the constant +/- on your HU harness? Anyhow see how it goes! I feel we're sort of hijacking the OP's thread, so if you struggle then maybe start your own thread and PM me? I don't know if I'll be any help, but I'll be more than happy to take a look

I might be making it sound more complex than it is. It's pretty easy, just takes a while if you're a absolute novice like me. Take a look at that post I linked anyhow. I found it really useful!

Not sure if it counts as Farnham, but saw a black 350Z with the above plate at around 6:30pm near Sheppard and Flock roundabout. To be more precise, the roundabout that's just before Sheppard and Flock if you approach from the big Sainsburys. You were in the left lane going towards the A31, stuck behind an a**hole who skipped the queue by using your lane, then trying to turn right at the roundabout... I absolutely hate people who do that... So damn selfish! The woman in the mini behind you was having a right go at him Oh and I was in my GM 04 plate having loads of fun in the right lane, which was pretty much at a standstill as usual.

Haha, Well it's sorta 2 questions anyway, coz Q2 and Q3 are pretty much related. Please take the below with a pinch of salt. I'm no expert and I've only done this 1 time! First of all power. I tapped the positive (red) into the reverse lamp wire (pale green) and the ground (black) goes to the Bose amp housing, or any other earth. This way when you select reverse, the power to the reverse lamp will also provide power to the camera. Make sure you get the PALE GREEN white, not the GREEN/WHITE one, as that's for the indicators instead. And no, there's need to power it into the numberplate. Concerning the screen swap, yep, it does on mine. I had to switch a setting called "Camera Polarity" to "Battery" on the Pioneer HU I have, so that it switches to the reverse camera when it gets powered on. I have no idea what you're meant to do for wireless cameras though Here's the guide I followed, which goes into much more detail: http://www.350z-uk.c...de/#entry837770 I sorta skipped the testing phase though! It should be quite clear from the post above as it's pretty well written Just in case this helps clarify though, I think it's like this for yours (the transmitter/camera side only): *EDIT* - Thinking about it, do you think it takes a bit of time for the transmitter / receiver to connect to each other? If so, the above method might lead to undesirable delays. Maybe for wireless it's better to keep the camera on at all times. No idea but worth looking into?

I bought a reverse camera which pretty much looks the same, but from a different seller. I personally opted for the wired version as I heard wireless (especially cheap ones) can be prone to interference. No idea about the validity of that claim, but definitely seems to make sense. I wanted to play it safe as well, so went wired. Well... as safe as Chinese parts from eBay can be As M1 6RYF has already stated, the wired version is a bit cheaper too. Anyhow, I installed the camera in July and haven't had any issues with it so far. The only thing is I installed it myself, so I don't mind replacing it if it does go wrong, which wouldn't surprise me. I think if you're 100% going to get it done by a professional, you may as well just get one that's reputable. That's my opinion anyhow. My opinions on pros/cons for the cheap one M1 linked (wired or wireless) Pros Cheap Quality is pretty good - more than satisfactory imo Not too bad in the dark Cons It's a cheap part and I assume the quality control is pretty much non-existent. I have no idea how long it'll work for. My one came from Hong Kong so it's a bit of a hassle to return if a faulty one did get delivered Not really that big a deal, but I installed LED lights in my numberplate lights, and the camera blocks some of the beam. There's a noticeable shadow in the illumination of the numberplate. Not sure if it's helpful, but a couple of photos below. Bit obvious, but please note that the example of it working isn't really ideal, as I'm trying to take a picture to illustrate the performance of the reversing camera in low light, by using another camera (my phone) in low light

Where to buy the wiring kit for head units?
Hodaka replied to Robinhoe's topic in I.C.E & Electronics
+1 for ICT. I ordered from them for my Pioneer AppRadio2. Fast delivery and fitted without any issues. The instructions were a tad confusing for me, but that was mainly due to me being inexperienced as it was the first time I fitted an aftermarket stereo. -
Wow, that's insane

Ahhhhh... Seems I've been fed incorrect information! Just spoke to my wife and yeah, it's Liz she worked with. We're actually just in the process of buying a house by Heath End School as well. We'll pretty much be neighbours haha
