  1. Trust me WINK I looked at BMW Z4 3.0si but it's not a z is it. No it's gotta be a z
  2. I have also heard that these people are good. It is highly priced but i'm sure you agree it looks super. Also it has had plenum spacer done and intake so probably a bit quicker than completely standard pre revup. I'm 55 though and don't want people saying look at that old git in the boy racer car and lets be honest I could get a pretty low mileage HR for that money
  3. Hi all is this car too racey looking for a 55 year old. Please be honest I can take it http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201503161793133/sort/default/seller-type/trade_adverts/make/nissan/radius/1500/model/350_z/page/6/onesearchad/used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew/postcode/tn401rs/usedcars?logcode=p
  4. Thanks for the input going to have a look on thurs a long way to go so I hope its good. Got the price down by a couple of hundred quid so I think it's not bad
  5. Thanks for you're patience. I'm again looking at a Z that's done 107k its an HR its on autotrader I've mentioned it before on here. It has only had 2 owners the last of which had it for 5 years. It is hpi clear and has full history. The dealer said when it came in the oil was like honey. No smoking on start up. I may go see it Thursday. Bloke at Horsham said check with you guys to get the correct oil pressures for cold and warmed up as its important. Also to ask dealer to check compression arm bushes. Went to see the cat d car mentioned earlier in thread but was not happy with the wrap although it did run very well. http://www.autotrade...dcars?logcode=p I know it has quite a lot of stone chips front bottom left but its black so pretty easy to touch in and I think it points to a lot of motorway driving which I think is good. Be good to hear some opinions though please. ..
  6. Ok chaps this is the last one i'm going to ask you're opinion of promise. Ebay number 331499304809. Cheers http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331499304809?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26ghostText%3D%26_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D331499304809%26_rdc%3D1
  7. Sorry to butt in on this thread i'm seriously thinking about buying a cat d HR. 58 plate £6700. Seller going to get an engineers report done for my peace of mind. He didn't have the accident or whatever it was himself but he had it wrapped but is going to show me pics of the car before wrapping. Seeing this thread and what you have done to the car and how it is now has given me a bit more confidence in buying this car as it shows that just because its cat d it doesn't have to be a bad buy.
  8. Not had a Z before is 107k ok I don't do a lot of mile maybe 4000 a year.
  9. This is the email I just had from the dealer. The Nissan is in very very good condition. It has been well looked after. Servicing has been done on time. I checked oil when we first got the Nissan in and it was like honey. A lot of the servicing has been done at ABBEY Motorsport i am sure you have heard of them. There is also lots and lots of bills as well as the service book.
  10. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201501059944490/sort/default/usedcars/onesearchad/used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew/postcode/tn401rs/model/350_z/page/6/radius/1500/make/nissan?logcode=p this is the link for it
  11. Well it looks like its been serviced regularly but as for condition it is hard to tell from photos. It is on autotrader for £8195. At least it's not cat d this time
  12. There is another HR advertised at 107k with 10 stamps in book is this mileage too high do you think
  13. I have now asked the same question why was it written off. Let's see if I get an answer if I don't I will not be looking at the car Monday. I'm glad CJRamze posted that message as now alarm bells are ringing if I don't get a satisfactory answer or even no answer that's that for this car
  14. I don't know if you have read the thread but the car i'm looking at is an HR was cat d write off 58 plate but fixed £6700 35k miles and i'm so tempted but the guys on here think it's a bad idea in general
  15. I have been emailing the chap with the HR and he is going to organise an engineers report which I think is a positive step
  16. My ZS was modified before I got it and its a great car but i'm 55 and I want a quick car that doesn't scream boy racer. I know that if I get revup Z it will be fast enough etc but I really want an HR for some reason Actually really want a 370 but hey
  17. Perhaps I have HRitis maybe I should just go for a good low mileage revup. God I'm confused
  18. Believe me I will be asking what proof he has of everything i'm not going to throw my money away if he can't tell me and show me what I need to know I will be driving home again with my deposit in hand and the search will start again
  19. Ok thanks I just hope he has all the information as it was a previous owner that had the problem but you would have thought he would have checked it out before he bought it. I'm not in a hurry to buy I can put deposit down then pay the rest in 4-5 weeks but the opportunity to get an HR at this price is quite a rarity but if c**p I won't have it
  20. I see what you mean about the shut line on the boot. What could this mean?
  21. If I get it and it turns out bad you are more than welcome to mock away to you're hearts desire but I just have a feeling hope its not misplaced that its going to be good. Anyway I shall go see it Monday and i'll report back and hopefully it won't be a case of we told you so
  22. If I was selling a car and I wasn't sure if they were going to buy it I would I think be very unhappy to take the wrap off. Personally I would prefer it if it was blue rather than white as it is with the wrap but even if it is ok underneath I think its unlikely he'll want to take it off just in case I don't want it
  23. I see what you are saying about the wrap but would he have bought it if the body work was that bad, its not likely I would say so just perhaps he is telling the truth about everything and its the buy of the century. I've always been a glass half full kind of bloke and you are quite correct mouthwash in my mind the car was mine without even looking
  24. The car I buy is going to be with me for a long time. The Z is my ultimate car speed looks handling everything so i'm not concerned about resale values at all. A late low mileage car at this price is exactly what I want but I must say that all the comments, which I appreciate by the way, have put more than an element of doubt in my mind
