  1. First car. Renault Clio 1.2 13,000 after finance. Slower than all my mates Nova 1.2 Merits they bought for 1000 quid. Less reliable. Gear linkage had to be sorted. Horn stopped working. (Was on the window wiper stalk. If I ever had to beep quickly I'd put the wipers on instead!) ECU had to be replaced. Kept cutting out. All the dashboard lights failed twice. Heater stopped working. Developed a sunroof leak. Manifold had to be replaced. Plastic wings. Cost a fortune to repair. Special gel paint. Had a TAPE player in 2001. Hated it.
  2. It's lovely. If it was me I'd have ground those welds down though. I used to be a metal worker. I can get a perfect smooth round edge on stuff like that. Or completely straight. Just me being anal though. Just need an angle grinder and an orbital sander with varying grits. Either way it looks good.
  3. What's all this guff about it being 2016? Yeah. It is. Next year it'll be 2017. What are people hyping up?
  4. "Nobody's spirit was stronger, bolder or more creative". President Obama. Yeah. Right. Nelson Mandela on strength of spirit? Do these guys ever not read what their PR guys tell them to.
  5. Was a bit of a last minute addition lol.
  6. E46 M3. Could get a great low miler late model for the price of a 370Z.
  7. Guys. Why aren't I losing weight?!
  8. Skylines are such an awesome looking car. A lot of people don't get it. Boxy etc. To me a skyline says "I mean business"
  9. The end times. All the selected pop/movie stars being gathered for their heavenly seat before doomsday. I hope I get my Z done before then. Knowing my luck I'll put they key in and turn it and the day will turn to night and the trumpet will signal armageddon and thy sinners will surely perish. No I wasn't force fed religious bumf about impending annihilation as a kid. Much. Well 3 times a week plus personal bible study and ministry once a week. Lol.
  10. Really confusing info on the Web. "Aerobic = oxygen needed" "Anaerobic = oxygen not needed" When I'm lifting weights, I don't get out of breath. This leads me to think I'm doing anaerobic. If I'm running flat out on treadmill, I need gulps of oxygen. That's Aerobic? Confused.com. Anyway I know weight training and low intensity cardio will see the most calories used from fat and not fat, glycogen and muscle. My bad on the misinterpretation front.
  11. Anaerobic exercise. In other words low intensity such as a fast walk on treadmill. Your body will use energy from glycogen and fat then. When you start getting out of breath you're doing Aerobic exercise then. Unfortunately with anaerobic exercise you have to do more of it because it burns less calories overall. But the payoff is that the calories you DO burn are all fat and not precious muscle. An hour fast walk before food in the morning really works. Aerobic - using oxygen Anaerobic - without (like weight training) Just so you know I think you got a little muddled up there. No I didn't. Notice how I said "when you're getting out of breath (using more oxygen) you're doing Aerobic exercise. I opened up with "anaerobic exercise" low intensity (not using oxygen). Don't know how you came to that conclusion.
  12. Skin fold caliper test that measures from more than just chest, triceps and stomach. Read my previous post on here about lean gains Also download a calorie counter app.

  14. Quiet in here. I've been adding plenty of muscle mass but fat loss is kinda stalled. I've not been dieting as such just portion control. I might kickstart fat loss by dropping calories and more cardio. Gf had 3 tins of slim fast powder unopened. I've been using them but doubling up on scoops which gives about 450 cal and 36g protein. Carbs in it are all sugar. Taste good though.
  15. I beg to differ have you never heard a rear mount turbocheck this link out Can really hear the wastegate there. I think mostly because it's mounted at the back.
  16. Hi. You may have seen YouTube vids of Supras with a lovely sounding wastegate flutter or Audi S1 rally quattros with the same thing. Why do some turbo cars have it and some don't. Most importantly, how do I get it?! Thanks.
  17. Maybe it was just close to the end of its life and forced induction just tipped it over the edge. I had mine UpRevved with a panel filter and plenum spacer. Before the uprev and tuning the clutch was 100% fine. Then after, completely slipping. Was only a rise of 20bhp and about 20ib/ft. Just one of those things mate.
  18. That sucks. I have on order a south bend clutch rated to 1000nm. Hope that holds!!
  19. Better off contacting Mark directly. Mark@abbeymotorsport.co.uk
  20. I have a friend who doesn't work for some BS 'disabilty' reason and his room (room. Room at 35) is full of light sabers, darth vader helmets, storm trooper helmets, imperial blasters, every console going, top spec PC 90" tv. Your tax dollah's at work. He reminds me of comic store guy in the Simpsons. Loves to argue who would REALLY win between a peak health Yoda and Darth Vader. Gets really heated when you yank his chain about it. PS: WH40K Space Marine Librarian would own both.
