  1. Just on the border between Lancs and Yorks
  2. 450hp in my Z is more than manageable. Very civilised and rarely breaks traction unless I want it to (rev. Clutch) on MPSS'. Can really throw it around. It feels very point and squirt. That gives me the 300bhp/ton you're talking of and I feel confident the chassis/traction can handle way more.

  4. If in a while I don't post for a while I'm playing this
  5. The VQ35DE won numerous awards over the years. Some say it's the best V6 there was. A lot say it's the best sounding V6 ever. Coupled with the relative rarity of 350Z's compared to the 25 audi TT's you might see every day. More if you include later models. I used to visit a friend who's pretty wife had a mk1 then a mk 2 Audi TT. I'd follow in my 350Z to destinations around oxford and who got more looks, points and waves? Me. A big ugly guy in a 350Z. Says it all! The 350Z is an event every time you get in it and turn the key. PS: friends pretty wife hated her MK2. Now has a 335D.
  6. Cyclists need a wide lane of their own. Our roads aren't capable of the traffic we throw at them. Plus parked cars. Cyclists end up practically in the middle of the road swerving left to right as they pedal.
  7. I think it's Horsham Developments that do a discs, pads, hoses and oil pack for under 500. All 4 corners. Just looked. Website has changed and that package isn't on it any more.
  8. Completely inappropriate but I cant be the only one who found the thought of a cyclist doing superman for 20m and over a 7ft hedge quite funny? On a serious side, I hope the guy makes a quick recovery, ive done the superman a couple of times, on motorbikes mind, so know what its like. Organ donor. Bikes. It's not if, it's when.
  9. Welcome! When I first got my Z I saw a guy in a black one at the petrol station. I smiled and said nice car! He scowled and looked like I just asked for a go on his wife lol. Not all Z owners are happy to be part of a community lol.
  10. If EVERYONE surrounding you didn't suddenly break out into full dance lasting an hour, for no reason at all (like in any Indian film) then I call fake wedding Gorgeous car! I'm amazed the cyclist wasn't killed instantly. Poor guy. Hope he's ok.
  11. The law here is barmy. As an extension of that, the law regarding self defence needs to change. What kind of judicial system sees the victim end up in jail alongside the burglar/mugger/rapist fir defending themselves? I guess the problems America has are, what do you class as a situation where you need to deploy self defence measures. It depends on how suspicious or cautious and trigger happy the guy welding the weapon is. You should be able to fight fire with fire. If the guy threatening has a gun you should be able to use your gun. If you're dumb enough to mug someone in a state where it's legal to carry concealed weapons then...
  12. I have a (conspiracy) theory. A lot of staged shootings which will give police/government motive and support for de - arming the public. They'll pass the bill and a fair amount will hand in their weapons and the ones that won't will have them forcibly removed. It was good to have a right to bare arms in the past. Now it doesn't suit the government and their agenda to pacify tge nation. Our government ride us as hard as they like. They know there'll be no uprising and they know they have total control over us because we can't take action or defend ourselves.
  13. Wod you not rather a UK Spec GT? Like others gave said I'm sure most would help out on here.
  14. Good reasoning. You could (I think) sell the GT4 for more and buy a GT spec DE and mod away with the additional cash.
  15. I'm glad you like it mate. For sure it's a great looking car. Maybe not choosing bronze is a good thing. Most people go for the bronze so you're more unique. You anywhere near Dubrovnik? What power have you settled on?
  16. It's a TVR. You should hear it, then see it. Both should be an aural and visual occasion!
  17. Got mine at 92k 2004 DE and it was fine. Until I started messing with it lol. But that could happen at any age/mileage.
  18. I'm not sure about the gold mate. Bronze maybe? Still nice though!
  19. Welcome. Yep really comfy cars the Z. I'm 6'2" and don't need the seat all the way back and in motorways I can recline and set cruise control and waft to my destination.
  20. The Havoc kit is horrendous and making ones car looking a more expensive/powerful car is tasteless to me but it's all about what you want. I'd never ask a question on a forum asking for other people's opinion on what direction I should take my car in because there'll be so many different opinions and you're no better off. So really it's up to you.
  21. Of course I don't expect it to be a few hundred quid. I was expecting to find them for around £1000-1500 but I haven't been able to find any DE engines for less than £1800+. One seller on eBay has an engine but he doesn't know which model it is. He tried fitting it to his 2004 Z but he mentioned something about the pulleys being the wrong formation or size, he can't remember much and he has just had the engine sat for 12 months in his garage. If I can figure out which engine type it is it might solve my problem. Can I ask where you found the ones for 1200? My car is a UK 2005 DE model btw. http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-350Z-VQ35DE-Engine-3-5L-V6-PETROL-214KW-/291758601389?nav=SEARCH
  22. You can't find a DE engine for less than 5k? It's on finance? The garage didn't offer a warranty of any kind? Very quick search on ebay has uncovered one for 1250 quid and one for 1400 quid. Are you thinking you'll get an engine for a few hundred quid?
