  1. I was there when it was notorised. After mum died I got "by the way...that money, your mum told me to hold it for 5 years"
  2. I'm currently living hand to mouth. Anything that costs extra (counselling, massages, therapy etc) are unavailable to me to de-stress. I'm afraid it's going to be a long, long hard slog with no respite untill everything is sorted.
  3. I've been pretty much kept in the dark about it all. I barely have any information.
  4. Yeah the mouth noise ones are weird. I don't listen to those. I like the hair cut ones, or massage etc. There's hundreds of role play ones. How are you feeling these days bud? Me? Well when I think sh1t can't get any worse it does. So I console myself by saying "you're not at rock bottom yet" lol. Plus mega knee pain and stress migraines which doctors will prescribe nothing for. All in all, fair to middling lol. Thanks for asking mate
  5. Giant sequoia trees can be even thicker by up to two thirds.
  6. Well not entirely, ...the Thompson definitely would have had the BAR beat for ammo capacity (especially with the drum magazine) and it would have been a close race between the two for rate of fire (BAR @500-600rpm V's Thompson @600-700rpm approx). Both essentially do the same job though ~ kill & destroy stuff ~ just to slightly different degrees. Horses for courses lol. Despite a car door for cover I don't think I'd rely on it when being hosed with any weapon! Barrett .50 especially lol.
  7. What Would be better still - 10mm standard light armour piercing explosive tipped caseless round.
  8. Always preferred the BAR in COD... haha. Down to personal choice I guess Yeah I went up the World Trade Centre tower (I think it was the South Tower) back in 1997. I still remember those elevators! Ridiculously fast! Had plenty of hitting power in COD yes so took less ammo to kill but in real life .45 rounds make a mess of flesh plus you have 100 rounds not 20. Big thumbs up for slaughtering capabilities. You're forgetting though Gareth that more than likely the majority of the people that "Bonnie & Clyde" were shooting at were either in cars, hiding behind cars or hiding behind furniture/walls etc. Thus they needed a hard hitting round which could penetrate objects finding it's target on the other side. The .30-06 Springfield bullet fired from the BAR would have been travelling at around 2500 ft/s (approx) in comparison to the .45ACP from a Thompson at a much lesser 900 ft/s (approx) ~ both bullets weighing in at similar weights too depending on the exact bullet so in reality the kinetic energy expelled by the BAR bullet as well as it's penetrating powers would be significantly higher than the Thompson bullet. Oh and if you're wondering that's why my username is GMballistic, ...it's my initials followed by "ballistic" because I'm very interested in ballistics & have been since I first started shooting as a young child. Right. Chips p1ssed on thoroughly lol. I didn't think of the hard cover. You General. Me Private. Lol.
  9. Going to keep it! I've had a re-think and decided to keep on goin'
  10. Yes. But with the pound being weak at the moment I'd get more pounds per lira so I'd like to strike while the iron is hot.
  11. Thanks guys. My mum and aunt fell in love with Turkey and both bought properties there seeing it as a land of beauty where everything was perfect. Including their economy. Neither of them were/are the brightest sparks and just put their faith in something that seems right at first glance. Like "oooh, shiny! It must be gold!" It's what they knew and they went with it. They were ignorant of all else. Also my mum was gullible and really looked up to my aunt so she just did what she did. So...anyway. Apparently my mum told her to hold it in a Turkish bank to earn interest. I've looked at the 5 year financial history since then and Turkish financial system has been in decline the whole time and now the pound is so much weaker it'd be right to cash in I think. She's been informed of all this but she's still going to hold it. I think she's invested it in something on face value and it's gone fubar a day now shes stalling.

  13. Hi guys. My mother left some money to myself and my brother. The money was released from property in Turkey and managed by my aunt. She deposited the money in a Turkish bank citing its high interest rates then after my mother died, informed my brother and I that my mother had told her to retain the money for 5 years then release it to my brother and I. She provides little evidence or details of the agreement and continues to hold the money despite the plummeting interest rates in Turkey. The 5 year agreement ends in May 2017 but has informed us she plans to hold the money further as rates may climb. My question is, can I override this verbal agreement as I am worried about the money. I don't really know about how exchange rates, interest rates and inflation work to be honest. My aunt says she'skeeping hold of it to earn more interest and I don't really know the situation with that in relation to how it'd translate to the savings when withdrawn. It's 50k and right now I'm up turd Creek without a paddle financially. Any advice guys?
  14. Great results. I haven't washed my Z in 12 months and Moss is forming on it.
  15. Adrian. Have your engine back, I'm going Chevy power!!! 500 quid BOOYA! Lol.
  16. Some people view getting behind the wheel of their car as the equivalent of strapping on a suit of armour and welding a sword.
  17. She may well want to make a stamp (like, any PM would), but less of the sexist bullsh!t please. I'm not being sexist and I'm not sexist. I was probing people's opinions about it. It's not my opinion and i was just curious about people's thoughts on it if I raised it. I'm not concerned.
  18. I'm gonna sink my TV into the wall so that it's flush with the plaster. I'll work out best way to do it.
  19. I've said this 1000 times... Here's 1k+1 Make sure NOTHING is under the seat. Not a solitary empty tin of red bull. Then do the airbag reset...which is; Insert key, turn to pre ignition, wait until airbag light goes out then instantly turn the key completely towards you.. Repeat this 4 more times and you're reset. No sh1t under the seat and it should then stay off.
  20. My first mod on a black Z would be the orange reflectors swapped for clear. Nice car. Welcome
  21. Well. I've lost the GF already. Touch and go with the Z but probably go. I'll be fat, single and driving a 15 year old diesel clio soon.
  22. Indeed. She'll probably attend all meetings in a suit of armour with 8ft broadsword. I bet things will get tougher for men with children who are no longer with their mother.
