What are your goals GM? Ultimately that should dictate the parameters from ten start. I wouldn't be able to get away with 30 second intervals between sets without first really lowering the amount of weight I'm lifting. Your workouts sound very hiit. Increase the weight and increase the resting period. I rest 90 seconds between sets. Progressive overload IS the only way forward. I do 4 sets of 8 reps. But when I up the weight and I can do 4 sets of 8, I'll switch it up by doing 4 sets of ten reps before increasing the weight. Best way to get bigger arms is by doing plenty for triceps. Replace the concontraction curls with straight bar curls. Nice and slow. Don't swing the weight. I see so many people lifting from their delts. Do close grip bench presses. Do hammer grip skull crushers. Then reverse palm skull crushers. Cable triceps pull downs with the rope attachment. Eat plenty. Can't build a house without bricks. I don't take any supps other than slimfast meal replacement. Taste so much better than bodybuilders whey shakes.

Muscle memory is allowing lots to come back.

Hmmmm.. clearly the bible bashers who I had assumed were JW`s who live in the house behind me are not JW`s then as they let their kids stay up until all hours of the night chanting & singing hymns whilst the mother plays the piano. I think they clearly are not allowed a television as the piano seems their only form of entertainment. Very annoying for us neighbours though this time of year when you have to have your doors/windows open to try and get some fresh air and all you can hear is them. Sundays do seem to be the worst though as they all get dressed up, off to their church, then all their fellow bible bashers all come back to their house for a mad party until 11pm. Nah, definitely a religion of another description

Guess im giving my opinion from my experience of things often i see people in couples for years break up and then there with someone else all happy as larry in say 18-24 months time how the heck does this happen as it hasnt for me If history is to go by then I have a girlfriend around 6 years after a breakup.

I'm smashing the gym. Good not to worry about being back at a certain time to make dinner. I can guilt free rest 90 seconds between sets, not rush and do my 4 sets maximum effort. I'm seeing gains already. Muscle memory.

I was 'dragged' up as a JW. Imagine....summer nights, being called in at 6pm to get ready to go to the Tuesday meeting. Then the same again on Thursday. Then early night Saturday to be up for 7am for Sunday meeting then 3 hours tagging along on The Ministry afterwards. 9 hours a week of my childhood, until 13, wasted on it. Also, having a hard core mum who survived the London air raids as a girl, I got leathered after every meeting for not sitting perfectly still for 2.5hr at a time. Then there was ridicule from my friends/school because my mum had me excluded from assembly. But... As annoying as they are, they genuinely believe they're saving your life. And unlike any other religion they're completely separated from and not motivated by any politicsuggestions and they don't/won't go to war in the name of country or anything/one else. So while they are annoying, their heart and actions come from a good place. And they take no money from you. Unlike the Mormons, who demand a 25% tithing of their cults followers. Also, if told to by their government they'll take up arms against another country, March down the garden path of their once brother and kill them. Is that right to do? Odd. The ones you have to watch out for are the ones who were brought up a JW, got baptised and never 'left the fold' to experience all the things the world has to offer, good and bad. As they simply cannot comprehend where you're at and why you aren't buying what they're selling. Those versions are quite sickly sweet in a creepy way, too. Albeit genuine. They still have a sheen about them and love for life. Also the older ultra zealous types. I remember a meeting once where a topic was older members jamming their foot in the door as it closed and that it was deemed bang out of order. I also remember the yearly convention where anal and oral sex was banned and 'unnatural desires including coitus positions contrary to the loving gift bestowed upon us by jehovah" or some such. In other words smashing your missus doggy style while doing a double bicep pose in the mirror. Etc. Face to face godly lovemaking only. And no fruity talk! Or else an old jw jumps out of the wardrobe to expunge you!

Rabbitstew. Really sorry to hear about your cat mate. People don't realise that cats are good companions and all have their own personality. Especially dog owners who think cats are just bland lifeless blank slates. But they're not. My Mclovin used to give me tons of affection and humour and quirks with his personality.

Sorry I haven't got back to everyone. Things getting a bit easier. It does hit me like a ton of bricks now and then though. But keeping busy has been a godsend.I really miss my cat. I still think about how active my life was before. Meals out. Day trips. Cinema trips. Holidays. Social events with her friends. Future plans. Romance. And all year memories. Now there's nothing but work and gym. I need a holiday. All my friends are married with kids so I'll be alone. Had to see her last night. Got a call from the vet as our cat was microchipped with my number. Had been knocked down and killed. But he lived with her. Goddamm I loved that cat. This has been the fortnight from hell.

I know I've made the right decision. It still doesn't hurt any less. Would have been nice if there was even mild objection on her half. It's like the last 4 years are as nothing to her. The reason we broke up was because I had a long episode of depression and wasn't 'there' a fair bit and I could be really miserable and moody. Would have been nice to get a second chance.

I'm having a real emotional rollercoaster. One minute I feel despair, the next, sadness, the next, anger, the next - 'ok'. It's killing me. I think I am coming to terms that it IS over. There'll be no "I made a mistake, take me back" message from her. She's probably dating a guy already. One terrifying thought I had is that I've put 5 years in this. Now I'm single again at 35. I had a look quickly at match.come. ... Anyone my age allways has kids. Or they're very fat/given up. Will probably take a couple of years to get over it and then I'm 37 ffs. I'll have to be finding women with grand children.

Well she did moan a lot and I did give up all the little things I loved doing. Gym especially. I do though think the good far outweighed the bad.

Please keep coming on to this thread and talking to us, let us know how you are, how you're feeling (as above). I think that is really important, many of us have been through similar circumstances. There is support and willing / listening ears here. This situation is very tough for you, I think we can see you're doing your best to manage and handle things. Please remember, you are a valuable and worthy person and people care for you. Despite how you feel now, how tough things are. You will come through this. There will be an evolution of your feelings, emotions, fears and concerns. It will not happen overnight, but it will happen. Believe me and trust me, you will come through this in a positive way, stronger and more complete, things will work through. Oh guys. I'm really rock bottom with all this. So much is going on/wrong and all I want is her care and compassion and love and hugs.

The turbo kit flows 600+ bhp and it currently has 600cc injectors. They say 1cc per hp. It was running 450bhp on LESS than stock boost. They turned it down because it was making more power than Power Enterprise claim so getting away with same figures but less boost.

Maybe it's because engines are smaller and more powerful now. So a 2.0 is classed quite big. This is all amongst the layman of course.

I haven't driven mine for nearly 2 years and I miss it immensely. I don't know if I was bored of it but it might have lost its sparkle.

Chirag - Congratulations on the imminent marriage. You absolutely did the right thing with that original relationship. You do seem like a very take charge kind of guy. Very positive.

Andy Muxlow - Yep it does always get better but the initial stages are like mental (and perhaps physical) torture. They say after a breakup you either get really fat or really thin.
