Generally it's easy to theorise who the offending parties may be. In other words, people who aren't car people. Older people, women in specific, Women in general, Younger children, Hipsters. There's more groups but they're just off the top of my head. I for one would never even allow my door to so much as touch the door of the car next to me. If you don't give a flying fridge about your car you're not going to value anyone elses. It's just something to get them from A to B. Like one person has already said, elderly might surmise that having dents is just completely normal. My ex's gran only drove once a week to go shopping and her car was full of dents that could only be as a result of her driving into things. One time she reversed into the side of another car when her intention was to go forward and the side of that car had such a huge dent. But she was oblivious to what had just happened other than the fact she went back instead of forward. We told her what she'd just done. Her answer was "oh fiddle dee dee". In other words, don't bother me with such trivial things. She could barely walk. Her hands were always trembling. She could barely hear but refused to get a hearing aid. Her eyesight was horrendous but yet again, she refused an eyetest as her eyes were fine in 1976 etc lol. Being in the back of that car was terrifying the one time I had to be there. She never stopped at junctions and at roundabouts she'd just carry straight on, not once looking to her right and people would jam on and beep but she was oblivious. Insane that they aren't tested once a year after a certain age. There's a lot of things wrong with her that she doesn't tell the DVLA. And my ex used to have to renew her licence every 3 years on her behalf because she couldn't fill it in herself. Even holding a pen was difficult. She has diabetes too. And has had many hypo episodes.

I've 'used' the method once. But it wasn't in traffic. I just kept up with the ambulance. It was in the wee hours. I guess the theory is the same in traffic. The ambulance will never pull over and confront you. They will however, I presume, note your reg and report it. Unless saving the city from a madman and his games!

No. I don't slow down. I maintain most of my speed and generally give enough time to indicate to the person behind that I'm going to pull out a little to avoid the car in front of me. But lately people are reading the road ahead of me and being aggressively opportunistic. It's no good pulling out and then indicating. For all concerned you need to indicate first. If you just pull out the person behind you had to react quicker to avoid driving into the back of the car that's stopped. Bear in mind this is in 5pm traffic in the dark. I indicate as soon as the person in front of me indicates they're pulling over so there can be no confusion as to what I'm intending to do and why. They're just being aggressive. They literally overtake me as soon as I indicate right. Also, they're right up my backside whenever this happens.

Nope I'm not doing anything wrong or being slow. Hence me making the post really as it's surprising that it keeps happening.

Ah I think I've seen that guy before. He died too didn't he? I think I'm seeing a pattern here... Possibly! Maybe all this death is a smokescreen to put off the law. I've seen so many people die slowly of cancer....maybe going out sideways and on fire is preferable!

I don't know if anyone else has noticed an increase in this driving behaviour where a person in front of you slows down and indicates left to signify stopping or parking by the side of the road....and the SOB behind you is already overtaking YOU and them forcing you to abort moving past the person who was pulling over even though you were indicating right and had room to manoeuvre, thus opening the floodgates for the cars behind the person that overtook you to follow suit, leaving you sat there indicating right for an aeon and no one will let you go. If I (or you) weren't as aware and observant of our surroundings then a crash would surely happen. This keeps happening to me a lot lately and it's not because I dither. I'm as opportunistic as is safe to be. Rant: end.

Mister 2's really suit TE37 style wheels. Especially white MR2 with white TE37's. The Rotas of the same style aren't that expensive in a 17" flavour.
