  1. Guys if you're not interested then don't make it obvious Thanks.
  2. I used to box for about 5 years but I just got too skinny for my own liking and couldn't gain weight and stuck at 13st, Not being able to lift weights working full time and training every night and our gym was very minimal. Bags. Boxing paraphernalia and a ring and a pull up bar..No weights. I then fell out of love with it all, started liftin' dem irons and boxing got boring. Lately I've tried a few martial arts. Thai Boxing. It was full of ego's just wanting to hurt each other. It made me think of Kobra Kai gym in Karate Kid. Warrior/killer instinct/code. Fight or die. Dominate or be dominated. Taekwondo. Was ok. Not too bad just too far to go. Good mix of people in the adults evening classes. MMA. If you're not wanting to proceed to fights or you're a bit past prime like me, they kinda don't want to know. Full of young teenagers and 'ard guys. These are the ones I can travel to. I've been invited to HEADPHONES Kung Fu gym and I'd like to give it a visit. There's a fantastic boxing gym near me. 10 mins drive. Next week I'm going to pop in. It looks great and I've always found boxing gyms friendly and there's always a respectful atmosphere. I find boxing one of the more noble forms of fighting sports. Anyway, favourite boxer for me has to be George Foreman. He was an absolute monster and kept fighting well past his prime. Punching him and him just keep coming must have been so intimidating. Hands like sledgehammer. Look at these highlights of him just absorbing punches. Tommy Morrison gave him a hammering too
  3. You spoiled, soft, lazy, overprivileged, namby pamby, hoity toity, jumped up bunch of.... lol. My dash is analogue. It works. Sometimes.
  4. They should team Ed up with Fuzz Townshend and let Mike Brewer Duke it out for Queen of egos with Tim Shaw on their own show.
  5. Ed was just a nice guy though and barely changed a bit as time went on.
  6. Oh man. What a sh1t piece of news to start the day with.
  7. Chris Bleedin Moyle got up the mountain. Before he lost chub.
  8. I didn't want to make my lunch in the morning. I'm not a morning person.

Mercedes pioneered turbo diesels with their 300SD. Not very modern though. 1978.. Every day's a school day. Don't say that I hated school.
  10. I had a similar problem with a petrol station attendant. Needed muffins and it was 12am. Went to 24hr spar garage as I knew they sold them there. I could see them from the bloody door but she denied they stocked any. In fact they had multiple brands and sizes. She grumbled about having to go and grab a bottle of water, too. Uncooperative staff. Old boot.

Peugeot 205T16 Evolution. It did more for hot hatches than the S4 did.
  13. Use some VHT paint. I'm not sure how hot the block gets but if it's not insane then you can use normal paint. Everyone said to me, you have to use VHT Wrinkle Red when I was painting my cam cover on my Civic, but normal paint was fine. Just undercoat and paint as normal.
  14. More important is when you get it. Your muscles are ready to assimilate all the protein it can, within your body's own ability to absorb it. Each of us vary in how much and how fast we can use protein. This is why whey protein is so good immediately after a workout. I take amino acids before and during a session. I find it very beneficial. Protein is, after all, a bunch of amino acids. Take it in pill form if you can. Amino acid powder tastes and smells horrible. In my experience. Wait for Holland and Barrett to do their buy one, get a second for 1p. 1g per pound of lean body mass is a great place to start. For a 200ib male with 15% body fat, you're looking at 85g of protein per day. Our government recommends around 0.8g per day per pound of LBM so that's 136g based on 170ib male with 15% bodyfat So the 1g per pound will already put you ahead and give you an excess to use. I would put money on it that they don't account for body fat percentage and increased activity and the amount of water we're holding. They base their figures on an average sedentary male that weighs 11st. So obviously very active people who lift weights will need more.
  15. Waviness stops once your stabiliser muscles get stronger and more tuned in. Weight is easy to get up with the right technique. Each to their own, eh pall?
  16. Try swapping to dumbells mate. I far prefer them to barbell.
  17. I know of a 997.1 for sale, same spec
  18. Nahhh 1) Suicide grip bench - just asking for it to fall 2 feet and crush your throat 2) Normal grip bench - the surplus of fail videos is enough evidence I think 3) Deadlift - you can drop the weight unlike bench, but lots of chance for spinal injury if not done properly Yeah the spinal injury thing makes it for me lol. I've never used barbel bench on my own. I always do bench press with dumbells to avoid that injury risk. I also have incorporated Smith machine bench in my routine. Not as the primary lift though, that's dumbells, which I do first. I'm really happy with the routine I have at the moment. It's basically flat, incline, decline dumbell press, dumbell flies, flat and incline, cable cross overs, then Smith machine flat incline and decline bench. Then I do all the equivalent on the machines. It really really overloads my muscles and I love the feeling like they've turned into jelly! Can barely lift a bottle of water after. And I can't believe anyone would do suicide bench! I wince looking at it lol.
  19. Your back shouldn't move at all. Imagine a pole or invisible horizontal line going down the centre of your body. Follow that line up and down and dont deviate from it. drive with your thighs. Let them do all the work. Don't lean forward at all. You're going to do your lower back in. If you find yourself tipping forward before you stand, please lower the weight until your core is stronger. That'll really help and you'll progress. Hope that helps. Please be careful. Squats are easily the most dangerous lift. A single little mistake can mean months off to heal. A mate of mine crushed two discs in his back and had to have an op. Do slow sit ups holding a 20 plate or whatever you can hold and manage to get 8 to 10 reps of. Next grab a heavy dumbell in each hand and lean side to side but keeping your legs really straight. If you have one of those machines that you sit in and twist side to side, use one of those too. Or incorporate a side to side twist into the weighted setups.
  20. I hope the infection gets on the back foot soon. Morphine is bad for sleep. It makes you restless and 'itchy'. Same as Tramadol. If the doctors are willing, ask for a sleep inducer. Quality of sleep on morphine is low too. You're in good hands mate, so I wouldn't worry too much but I know how crap being laid up with illness is.
