Anyone upgraded their Sony Playstation 4 storage?
TT350 replied to GMballistic's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Can you save GT halfway through a race now then? I haven't turned my PS3 on in well over a year. I left it here when me and the ex moved to a new house. My xbox1 has been on for 4 days now lol. -

Seems easy to do on the PS4 too providing you stick within the limits of the size of the HDD you can fit, 9.5mm being the maximum. Just waiting for my HDD to arrive. I put a 2TB in my PS3 just to install GT6. Crazy. -
Where do you want me? Where do you want me? WHERE. DO. YOU. WANT...ME!!! Nice vid. Thankyou. I don't think I'll ever be there though.

I don't know what went on. I just know EssNchill is permanently on my sh1t list for being a big, fat, aggressive, darts player looking, miserable, girly, spit my dummy out, bottom lip wobbling, moaning, miserable, jaded traffic cop looking, donut quaffing, pint guzzling, drinking whole milk from the carton and put it back in the fridge, cheeseburger sinking, nazi looking, forum shafting, rottweiler smelling, fun squashing gimp and he can kiss my chocolate starfish right in the middle a week post shower after sinking curried beans every night. Luckily this forum is a good bunch. I think I'm about as low as the tone gets lol. I never bothered with cams. I read up on them but never came across anyone that did anything apart from JWT and Tomei. I remember seeing an SR20DE from a touring car on eBay once for mental money. At the time turbo kits.com did a SR20DE kit for one of their USDM cars. Sentra I think. But my car got a do not resuscitate stamp on its last trip for an MOT. Best £500 I ever spent. Went on to a B18 Civic after that.

Beautiful. Welcome. Photobucket

The worst ones are the ones that start with "So,"

That's a good do then! I had normal cams as the car was literally disintegrating around the mods I had done. Major rust. Corroded brake lines, and some 'person' on the NPOC fitted a tow bar. Lol I still have the full custom exhaust in my fallout bunker..err.cellar. God I hated that forum. EssNchill was like a hormonal teenage girl. He'd delete posts on the basis that he just didn't like the post. Or the person posting it. I went back on to say hello and mention the Z and what I was doing with it. Deleted it. It was in the "other car" section, too. Nice job on the 50hp gain.

Did it on my PS3 and that was a piece of urine. Had to get a HDD caddy but that was the only unusual piece of hardware or equipment I needed. -
I'm skeptical about gaining 50bhp on a 2.0 N/A engine with no VVC. Particularly because I had a P11 Primera with an SR20DE with full bolt ons and it made 160bhp. My 350Z only gained 25hp N/A with bolt ons and uprev! People on the NPOC were swapping DE's for DETs from the states just for 200bhp or boosting their DE. Some had a GTiR swaps.

The old Almera was top. SR16VE version was extra spicy.

I'll give that a miss lol.

Not quite the same power to weight. My Z will have 433bhp per ton. 650÷1.5 and the Civic, 300bhp per ton. 240÷0.8. I'm sure I'd get more than 5k for my Z! A boggo Z is circa 5k! I've seen supercharged ones go for 11k with nowhere near the same power or spec. If it came to it, I'd just keep it.
-
Balls or stupidity. Maybe both. I know when I was 18 I took the most cringe worthy of risks on my 50cc scooter. I kind of wince when I remember the risks I took and the possible outcome!

6'2" here also. But I have short legs lol. Zed is comfy.

I had an MB6 B18C4 a few years back. Shame it was basically a Rover 400 with a Honda engine. Really mismatched combination. Is there a "but" after you say every one of my plans sound awesome? Lol. I loved thrashing the VTEC. But they're terrible on the motorway. At 70mph I think I was at 4500 RPM and the drone gets annoying after a while. Gears are very short in the MB6. I know modifying is a money pit that you don't recoup come selling up. I can live with that. The amount of fun a twin turbo 350Z is, is priceless. It's a shame that turbo conversions are so costly. I honestly think that if everyone could experience and afford a TTZ then they would soon forget about the lost money. The car is transformed. The weight stops becoming an issue, too because the power and torque cancels the weight out, to an extent. And the feeling of acceleration is addictive. Really pushes you into the seat. The turbo's on mine have virtually no lag so the power hits hard and keeps going. My Dyno shows the horsepower and torque rising nicely up until gear change time. Paul at TDI North said it felt more like a supercharger than twin turbo. Come selling time I'll advertise it on here, too. I emailed TDI North about doing a K20 swap into an EF shell. He said it's bloody hard work to get it in an EF engine bay. But it can be done. To me that's sounds like it'll be very costly in labour. And an EG or EK would be much cheaper and less of a squeeze. The EF Civic did come with a B16 in the Sir version. So a B16 or B18 would go in fairly easily. It'd probably still be really quick with 170hp B18C4. Will remind you tomorrow about the K20 pictures.

Lol scrapped. Any particular reason why? Well just the initial outlay for the car itself really. Also there isn't much I'd want to to change and it certainly won't need restoring. Really appeals to me to get a car that needs modernising and rejuvenation and then have a tidy, clean well sorted sleeper car at the end of it. That's why I don't want a loud exhaust on the Civic. As good as VTEC engines sound on the induction side of things, the raspyness from the exhaust doesn't appeal. A K20 remapped will be so reliable and with being in a lighter car, fuel economy should go up a decent amount. Plus the 240 to 250bhp will be so handy in a light car and torque won't be as much of an issue. A Corvette is pretty much like the Z. A fast 2 seater. And I've already got the Z. The handling on the Civic will be so much fun on B roads. If not a K20 then a Type R B18C or maybe just a B16A2 with Type R cams and a CAI and remap. Should be circa 200bhp at 9500 RPM. But ideally the K20 is what I want. They're in plentiful supply and throttle bodies should see close to 300 normally aspirated horsepower. Imagine that in an 800kg car. Also a decent LSD would really help things. Shorter gears and lighter flywheel. On a twisty B road I bet there wouldn't be much that could pull away from it. Should be so much fun.

A Smart Car - Hello Kitty Edition Pretty sure it fits your requirements EXACTLY!! Hayabusa turbo engine possible.

Hi. My Z will soon be complete after it comes back I have plans for the interior and bodywork and a set of wheels but that is all. It'll be reliable and safe at 600bhp as all the parts used are capable of 1000bhp minus the turbos. The clutch is rated to nearly 800ib/ft. Blah blah blah. So I have been thinking of something pretty much the opposite of a 350Z. Small displacement, very light, front wheel drive an N/A, clean, simple, reliable and fun with daily driving ability. I've decided on an EF Civic shell/chassis with a K20 from a Type R Civic. TDI North are Honda specialists and I have a 'relationship' with them having done the turbo conversion on my Z and before that, a stage 1 tune and they'll be installing and mapping LinkG4 management and geometry set up. A K20 swap is no sweat for them. The engine won't be modified, at the most im thinking remap and CAI for induction noise. No loud exhaust. Probably around 230-240bhp but in an EF shell that should be so much fun. I'll first replace old parts, a basic restoration, bushes etc, sort out any rust and bodywork. The focus will be clean and tidy and modernised where possible. A set of coilovers with a fairly soft and forgiving set up and Thicker anti roll bars to stop the body roll while keeping suspension soft and comfy. Perhaps stiffer on the rear to stop lurch under acceleration. 15's. At the most 16's. Keep ride height practical. Colour depends on what respray I go for. Dark gunmetal or a deep glossy black. If gunmetal, bronze multispoke like CE28N if Black, anthracite version of the same wheel. A lot of people are putting on Advans with white writing. Not for me. Interior. Restoration and re-trim in leather and Alcantata. Probably a set of nice adjustable aftermarket seats up front or maybe a set from a modern Type R. Maybe Accord Type R. They have nice seats and will be a cost effective alternative. Not in green and black though. Dash...I'm not sure. Does anyone have a thought on what to do with a flat, square dashboard? Some nice white dials would be good with some kind of modern lighting. E.L or LED. And that is about it. What do you guys think? Any additionals you can think of? Lots of scope for power further down the line. ITB's. Turbo conversion. Additional N/A tuning. The other option is something I always wanted to do when I was younger. A C20LE Vauxhal Nova. But, they're rapidly diminishing. Only 1200 left on UK roads and prices are approaching 4k for a tidy 1.2 Merit. Another option is a P10 E-GT Nissan Primera saloon. But I haven't seen one for sale in a looooong time. Come with SR20 as standard albeit in N/A guise and 150bhp. You can easily pop in a GTiR SR20 and the Primeras handle incredibly well. I had a P11 GT which I loved. Probably the most comfortable car I owned. A well modified tasteful P10EGT would be lovely. Unfortunately the Primera Owners Club leaves a lot to be desired. EssNchill who's a lead moderator on there is very aggressive I found and would delete posts he just didn't like. And the cars were so tasteless. Huge BGW and R34 front bumpers on an otherwise standard GT with 15" wheels. Or lots and lots of Fast and Furious style graphics and neons. Also on a standard GT. Look forward to your input, guys. Thanks.

A good mapper will always look to get a power and torque curve like that. Paul at TDI did a good job on mine, mapping the TT install. Photo bucket is being a bell end so I can't upload the graph.

Yep. To some it's insane. My brother can't get his head around it at all. The car thing in general let alone modified scene. When my Z's engine went after twin turbo installation he said just sell it for a grand and get an old banger that'll get you from A to B. You can only go 30 anyway! Yet it's fine for him to drink 8 cans of Stella a night, spend 1000s on guitars and have a posh snooker stick.
-
Not sure what I missed. Was just adding to a point you made. The individuality to customising your own car. If someone else created it, you're just buying the end product. Modifying has never represented value for money unfortunately. But yes, you're right. Buying a pre modified car is value for money for the end user.

My first car was a pearl black Renault Clio. I got a tin of dark smoke and gave the rear lights a few good coats and they were pretty much the same colour as the car then. And it looked really good. Don't know how I didn't get pulled though. I should have tinted the windows too.

Buying a pre-built one though... amazing value for money. Congrats. Managed to completely and utterly miss the point of my last post lol.
