Can you point me to the part in my post where i started giving advice on how to raise children please? Im only telling people MY plans and how I would like to raise my children if I have them. Anyone else can do as they please. Also it was in context with the original post. I, personally, get scorned by my parent friends for having a useless, childish hobby and that a car is simply for transport. Then they get angry because I spend amounts of money on it that they'd never had and they'd ut to so much better use than me. So i was only telling the OP whom gave me hostility about cars. Financially things can go boobs up any time, yes. And wealth before a family shouldnt be the primary goal. But say i never bothered to save a penny to assist in what my gf and I were about to embark on...if i didnt do any if those things to try and prepare, if i can. Is that ok? To say i didnt bother because love is the main thing? My parents used to argue like hell about money. It used to scare me to death. My friends abd their partners argue about money like that, too. Stuart cries about it. The amount of hours he works and yet is still broke and has limited time to actually be with his kids. He cant afford to take them to Blackpool for an afternoon. I just want to try the best i can. Im not going to throw caution to the wind and say. And again, ive not told or advised anyone how to have kids. Thanks.

Hello. A youtube user is doing a featute on my Z for his car review channel on either the 18th or 19th of this month. While I'm up there would anyone like to meet up or convoy up? Be nice to meet more members. 'Spool me up 712' is the channel name.

Yes indeed. GP will/has been notified and I'll have bloods every week.

PMSL! Come out healed buy with a nice shiny sexual harrasment record! My lord, there are some pretty nurses here though. Lol I was introduced to most of them while lay there with my arse, c0ck and balls hanging out. Now THAT would get me a record in any other situation lol. I could just say "look! My mobility and grip strength is coming back! *squeeze*" Water - I always thought the more the better. It's because I have a big 2L bier Steiner that I take to bed every night and I'll fill it twice in the night so it contributes hugely. Then all the water/coffee/red bull/food water content in the day @gangzoom I've no idea what you're trying to say there. That I'm exaggerating or....? Sorry..just a bit dazed. Also....70kg. I wish! I'm 6'2 and 101kg lol. They weighed me in the bed. They took the drips out of my paws. Jesus did I squirt. Blood that is. They panicked!

ohhh yeah. Had it loads off mates with kids mainly. "when you grow up you'll realise XYZ is more important than silly bollox like that. When you've got to put food on the table!" Their decision to have spawned another child while they were still pretty much kids themselves and then more along the line, thus ensuring empty pockets. Not my problem. I'll have kids when I'm ready and 110% know I can guarantee that kids happiness entirely, cemented, and give it the best in life. Not scrimping and scraping and arguing about money with my partner. I'm doing just fine at building that future and I'll be a much more rounded parent than a 19 year old. In the meantime, I'll damnwell enjoy the fruits of my labour as I see fit. /rant.

All the junior docs I've met this past near week have been indigenous. Regardless off where they come from, I just want to be treated by a well rested and even tempered and alert doctor. The culprits are the clowns who work in Whitehall and Westminster.

Oh and I will metaphorically rugby tackle that paramedic hard. The wind will cease to fill the sails of his sailboat shortly.

I'm being discharged. Praise be to the emperor! K+ at 4mmol steady. It's still a mystery and my GP will be monitoring me. But I've been balls to the wall with work recently and not eating much, drinking Monsters and over working. I'm self employed. One thing stood out. My water intake. I drink LOTS of water daily and through the night. When we worked out, I had been drinking nearly 9 litres of water a day. Then coffee/Energy drinks. I had been completely diluting my potassium and electrolytes. Will be under observation by GP. Need to think of gifts to get for the wonderful nurses in the ICU and this ward. Poor overworked b*ggers. Will put some good thought into it and return next week. Any idea what gifts nurses would particularly appreciate and find touching, GZ?

I did more crazy risky things on my 50cc moped and in my 55bhp Clio than in my Z. Despite lower speeds and power, it was a case of once I was committed in a low powered car such as my Clio....that was it. I had to go through with agonisingly slow overtakes with on coming traffic that wasnt there 20 seconds previously and couldn't pull back into the spot I'd just left. Idiotic street racing with mates in their 1.0 and 1.2 cars require so much risk. Crazy. The Z..its a 5 second job to overtake. Done and dusted. The power and brakes are there.

Incidentally I haven't seen or heard any non indigenous peoples. The nutter costing 150k a day is a fat indigenous chav covered in tats. Shes a real looker!

The NHS is massively mismanaged. That's the problem. The people who balance the books. For example, talking to a nurse this morning about a particular patient with psyche problems and violence who's further down the ward and filling the air with screams and constantly fighting the staff.... The NHS outsource security staff to watch them, chaperone them etc. This particular nurse sits in on the meetings they and the docs etc have and these outsourced security firms are charging the NHS 400£ per hour for the first 3 hours then £1000 per hour EACH guard for subsequent hours. There are 6 guards that have been here over 48 hours. Rotated of course. That's an obscene amount of money. (I'm tired. not slept since Sunday) if my maths serves me right just under 300k wasted. Where are the people reviewing these expenses and putting a stop to it? Someone should be looking the receipts over and going "wtf is this bill all about?!"

You bunch of geeks! I love it.

Not seen any of the new ST series' but this Magic Bear character FTL/inter dimensional traveller sounds like a complete rip off of the Warhammer 40,000K "navigator gene" that allows for interdimensional travel and warp jumps. And that fluff was conceived back in the 80s by the games works bunch. http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Navigator Love the 40k lore/fluff/background. ST has always been a big favourite of mine. Comforting to watch. Even when I turn an episode on and I hear the familiar background hum of the engines, I feel instantly at home. Watched STTNG religiously on weeknights as a young teen in mid 90s. Voyage was a good second to TNG. Jerry Ryan AKA sixty-nine as I like to call her, made Mulgrews voice and mannerisms bareable. DS9. Couldn't get into it. I've tried and tried. It feels like barter town in space and the Ferengi's twist my Mellon! Feds should have tooled up and exterminated them just for the craic and being the annoying imps that they are. I liked ST:E a fair bit. And Scott Bakula is always good in a series. Seems like a proper decent guy. I seriously don't get how they didn't do a novelty one off cross over episode with Scott reprising his quantum leap character and Al turning up with a morally challenging dilemma and plot for the episode. Morphing into captain of the enterprise and saying "oh boy" sat in the big chair mid battle with the Xindi. Lol.

Good post GZ. The nurses have been fantastic. Absolutely maxed out with work but still 98% of them keep a caring and compassionate, professional and efficient attitude. I just can't get over how thinly stretched they are. The young doctors too. I've been awake most of the time and occasionally I'd see the same doctor and is ask when they were due home and they'd tell me they'd been home already and come back. I've been thinking about a career change to the NHS as Murse or Paramedic and I don't think I'm put off, for the same reason as you enjoy your job GZ. The satisfaction and well being from helping people at that level and the meaningful human interaction must be so rewarding and fill you with wellbeing. That lazy, jaded, insensitive and careless paramedic I came across though is gonna get a lighting bolt. A bit of incentive to alter his attitude and ask himself if he's in the right career. I hope the NHS can be saved. PS: I am on the mend. Potassium within normal levels, 3.7mol. My other electrolytes are all stable too.

Hello. Been discussing this subject off the board with Ekona. I've been unlucky enough to have a spell in the hospital. I'm still here. Potassium levels crashed, which initially caused stiffess, more stiffess then limb paralysis. My hands bent inwards because I couldn't straighten my fingers. I literally couldn't move at all. Frustrating and scary. Potassium is responsible for transmission of muscular nerve signals and ergo, mobility and...... your heart. Had pre cardiac arrest conditions (ecg and eeg readings etc) and they were extremely concerned with what they were seeing. Electrolytes were crashing and not coming up with a drip. Then two drips. Then a main line into my artery on my neck. (painful!) Potassium got as low as 0.9mmol when it should be at least 3.5. 29 litres through my neck and I'm feeling better. Mobility back totally. But worst of all through this experience, has been the NHS hospital conditions. Staff are simply at 200% working capacity. Dangerous. One young doctor said she was working 14 straight 12 hour shifts and currently earned less than one or two particular cleaners on the wards. I was left in a corridor. Not even in A+E..... I was bunged a few corridors away and left in one position for 7 hours and the pain from that was horrendous. Along with the fear and stress and just not knowing what was happening with me. From ambulance to a bed in ICU took 16 hours. While I was in the corridor on a gurney, I wiggled off the bed just to change positions and ease my back pain. A paramedic stood with his hands in his pockets and watched me do it. Then as I lay on the floor he stood over me and told a nurse there was nothing wrong with me and that i was a p1ss taker and that I should be put outside the hospital and left for wasting their time and that it was all on camera. Then he was telling me to hurry up and get back up on the stretcher. I couldn't even move. As I began to form a retort he just strolled off and said "I can't be ar5ed with you" I'm going to Persue him and I will have him. No matter how long it takes. Because I was very, very ill. I'm at Blackburn General, which has had some shocking reviews yet still one of only 40% of hospitals that have a "Good" rating. The others all have lower ratings like "adequate" or "needs improving". there's an article online about this hospital but I can't seem to paste URLs. Some pics... I can hear what other people are being given for pain. Oxycodone, Diazepam. Etc. I can only get paracetamol a d nothing to help sleep on this boiling noisy ward. Anyway, over to you guys. What's your NHS hospital experience?

Nice to see this topic still active. Dan, is that a Mick Thompson Warlock?

Not sure what's wrong with it. Cam sensor replaced on bank 2 inlet. Overheating issue going on too. I presume the misfire it has will be because of the cps. Went all through summer on 30c temps sometimes, no issue. Temp hits single digits and overheating occurs! WTAF?!

Howdy. Well both me and the Z are currently in intensive care! Hmmm. Think the Z is in better hands than I am!

Nothing to report. No additions.
