  1. You're welcome. I'm pretty sure the best filters are panel filters as the air box is fed with a cold air feed as standard. I had an HKS panel filter before I went turbo. Really recommend the plenum spacer and uprev too.
  2. VQ35DE was in 2003-2006 then after that it became a VQ35HR for 2007+ models Early DE engines had 276bhp and 6600rpm rev limit. Yours has 300bhp and 7000rpm rev limit and the HR has 313bhp and 7500rpm rev limit. UPREV is tuning software. A good tuning pack is a full exhaust system, panel filter, plenum spacer then UPREV Tune. Welcome PS: decent tyres are equally important.
  3. @marzman Do you have a girlfriend? Mine would NOT let me have anything like that lol! If you do, hold on to her!!
  4. Bought the Yaris. I haven't driven anything with less than 170 bhp in a long long time. I was a bit overwhelmed by how slow the Yaris is to the point of being concerned it was faulty lol. But. It's comfy. The stereo is surprisingly good. It has basic early sat nav. AC. Toyota claims 49mpg.
  5. About 6:15 today. Lovely condition.
  6. Best steak I ever had (that I didn't cook) was at Aussie Outback Steakhouse. They used to have outlets in the UK but not any more. I pan fry my steaks (ribeye) in salted butter. Medium rare. Then let rest for 5 mins on the plate. Home made chips. Maris piper potatoes par boiled. My peppercorn sauce recipe: 2 shallots minced and fried off in 50g butter. Add 100ml brandy and boil off the alcohol. Add 300ml beef stock. 100ml double cream. Crushed peppercorns to taste. Salt to taste. Add a bit of cornflour to thicken.
  7. Almost famous in Manchester. Although the BOOMING music and night club feel can get on ones nipples if you desire a chilled out eat.
  8. If you want a challenge go to the flaming grill chain and do their 1kg burger challenge. I managed to sink it. Got certificate the burgers there are really nice. I wouldn't recommend anything else off the menu though. Also I can thoroughly recommend Krispy Kreme outlets. Very tried and tested!!!
  9. Berties restaurant in Ruthin castle hotel, North Wales Absolutely fantastic food (and a great hotel/spa resort) Weatherspoons in Ruthin (I know. But it's quiet. Staff are nice. Food comes hot. Roaring fire) Tweedies in Grasmere (the lakes) Live music. World ales. Awesome fine food.
  10. Next time I'm coming down I'll let you know and maybe with other local Z's we can arrange a mini meet. Did you go to the car rally last year? No I didn't, if you mean the one where they park on wallingford "park" then I never thought it was that good... mini meet sounds like a good idea.. they're are a few around us! I went and really enjoyed it. Got to see a genuine Lotus Carlton which made my day I'll let you know when I'm due down. Should be soonish.
  11. Also Bluegrass bbq smokehouse in Buckinghamshire. Absolutely excellent food and staff.

  13. He's pretty speedy. Said it'd take a week max. On another note, I'm going to buy a 1.0 Yaris today
  14. Take that back. Take it back now. Lol I like Mike the cheeky Cockney chappie!
  15. If you rapidly deploy the anchors at the same time as try to steer at high speed your botty is going to step out of line due to weight shifting forward and the break bias and rapid change in direction. Don't worry. You're still alive!!
  16. They should make it like old top gear. Mike Brewer would be good in the lineup.

  18. 6'3" Kid is 6'2" apparently. I do like a lass to be taller than me but I'm 6'2" myself so it's rare.
  19. The mechanics at Westway Rochdale are grumpy and obnoxious. The blonde lady behind the main desk is a little snappy and direct. The guy from the parts department is super helpful and friendly. Sales - they let me test drive an 07 350Z. Just gave me the keys and said off you go.
  20. This could have been me. Have friends in Wallingford and they say they never see a Z round there.
