  1. It does sound like it was extremely well tuned to deliver power so smoothly and from so low down all the way to the red line too. Who tuned that? Do cams add much to a turbo install with regards to how the car behaves? It has been done here in Croatia. Two of guys here one is in charge for mechanical part and one for ECU. Booth owning FI Z's only different application TT and ST. Combined they do real magic. I must say SA Haltech is really impressive ECU. From boost and torque control by gears, anti lag, etc. There is so much options and varieties to be configured once you know what you are doing car can behave flawless. He did my tune with Up rev managing to get from i thing 284 whp and 310 nm to 305 whp and 340 nm. And as for cams I was told with Boosted Performance Turbo kit max output on stock cams is 650 whp. With bit more aggressive cams full potential of Precision Turbo can be achieved They both work at the same place then. That's cool and obviously passionate about their 350's. And it sounds like they're really professional. What's the name of the company? Sounds like you're planning a very powerful Z! I'll keep reading your build thread. 305whp on an NA is amazing!

  3. I always thought single, larger turbo's were like....nothing..nothing...nothing.....BOOM! My Power Enterprise TT kit delivers power very smoothly from around 3krpm. Paul at TDI North said it was like a supercharger. But that's at 430hp. Lag is completely eliminated now it's not working lol Will this turbo kit spport your new power goals? Or will you be looking for larger turbos? All the info I could find about the PE1420 says flow rate of up to 350 hp each. They do a larger turbo to go on the kit however. I'm not sure what other brand options would fit the manifold etc.
  4. Mine was the one that wasn't there, in bits on the drive

  6. Back on topic, Sorry. Yes, agree with above as messing with the final drive and the Racelogic stuff appears to work on the 350. You have these mods Alex or know someone who does? Would be interested to hear your opinion. I personally do not have these mods, however I know a few guys with them but not with both mods. The 3.3 speaks for itself and the ones with the Racelogic rave about it. Certainly sounds like an ideal combination at high hp.
  7. Oh it'll be hilarious. Like discovering warp drive accidentally then being like "woooooooahhhhh stop.....ok do it again!" Lol. I hope with increased boost comes more woosh and pop and bang. You want a go then?!
  8. The Z dip stick baffles me to death

  10. 650+ rwhp can only equal fun Right?!
  11. Well I plan on getting the longer final drive plus racelogic traction/launch control which is very advanced (used on rally cars for gravel launches as well as tarmac etc) much more advanced than the majority of manufacturer's TC. You can set gravel/wet/dry Tarmac/gravel/snow etc. The amount of slip you want, IE 10% - 90% to off. The 3.3 final drive does a good job of reigning in the traction issues too (based on Google and forum searches) Anyway. If you all don't like it or see the point you won't be wanting a go then will you? Lol.
  12. Hmmmmn. A KNOCKING in the engine is much more serious than TAPPING. Maybe some gunk from the bottom of the tank has clogged the injectors slightly making them more noisy.
  13. I have Scorpion on my TTZ with TDI north decats and sounds well. Not overly loud. To my ears anyway lol. I'm sure my village thinks differently.
  14. Our American counterparts on their forums seem to really like the 4.08 FD. Makes a big difference. Bit confused with the traction thing. Are you having traction issues now? Shortening gears further will increase traction loss.
  15. Saw this on youtube. 608whp. I am going to be arrested/buried with 650whp. I need Ekona to give me a preemptive verbal smashing!

  17. After a bit of research seems the 3.3 FD from the 5 speed auto really lengthens the gears. People in the states with big power (500+) say it really makes the car more driveable as 1st and 2nd are useless with 550 to the wheels. So should be good with 650 to the wheels. More useable. Conversely a lot of US and A guys still NA really really rate the shorter FD of 3.8 and 4.1 I think it was. Much better acceleration. I think it'd be a really good 'real world' beneficial mod. If you haven't had a an uprev I bet that combined with shorter FD would be an awesome combination.
  18. Which FD woukd give a theoretical 200+ mph top speed?
  19. But is an E46 M3 faster than a Renault twingo?! I can't pull away from them in my Z.
  20. Where is he then? We reckon he's stuffed it already?!
  21. From the title I was expecting this post to be from the guy who totalled his Z the other day lol. Hi!
  22. Try adjusting it from behind the pedal.
  23. Lol go to the nearest major city, find the constabulary, repeated LC just outside. For the lay-deez.
  24. If you don't find the nearest quiet lane/industrial area to do a launch test you don't deserve it and should give it to me please. That is all.
