Cheers guys. The discs and pads should get here tomorrow. I might well get some braided hoses and RBF660 fluid if I get poor feedback from the pedal. I'll give it a couple hundred miles of bed in before I decide whether I'm happy or not. I would like to get the interior and boot lights upgraded to a brighter, whiter light. The boot light really is utterly useless. Does anyone have a link to the bulb type I need before I go and order a festoon bulb of the wrong size.

I'm guessing around 400hp? Is it still drivable or does it beg for full throttle? Big shame about Zhorno's spin, these things happen. I've known a few people come off on lap 1. Even though I use tyre warmers, I still give it a full lap before I give it the hard stuff.

Thanks GMballistic. The 350z is a credit to its previous owners, it's been kept in really clean order - it even came with the original Nissan boot tonneau divider (which is apparently quite rare?) Your Z is lovely, I bet she moves well... For those who have taken their Z's on track - how did you get on?

For those interested, here's a lap and then the 'off'.

At a guess I must have tucked the front at around 80, I was trail braking on the rear and hard on the front, tipped in running a little wide and rolled back the throttle which was asking way to much of the front. Down I went. To this day, I blame Neil Hodgson... The Suzuki has been broken up and sold, considering the state it was in I didn't do half bad with recouping some of the build cost.

Norwich, Norfolk. Happy to meet in the middle if need be, as long as you're not the other side of the solar system

Konichiwa (how very JDM of me), on an absolute whim I bought myself a 55 plate GT on Boxing day off a good friend. Although I've really, really liked them for several years it was never my intention to own one. The truth is (and sorry if this offends) I'm a two wheeled kinda guy, however I had a lowside at Cartagena in November and was told surgery was needed on my knee. Having sold my bikes and feeling rather sorry for myself, the 350 came along and the rest is history. Yep, this hurt... So, now my story is out of the way, let's get onto the car. It's a 55 plate GT with FNSH and 50,000 miles. Here she is the day I picked her up... I had plans to get the drivers door repaired as it had a couple of trolley dents, the front wiper arms were flaking, the wheels needed refurbishing, the brakes needed to be done and the rear tyres were poop. Other than that, it had just been serviced by the local Nissan dealer so it was good to go and enjoy... Dents removed and RDX aerial fitted... Tanned interior cleaned and conditioned (came up a treat, Meguiars leather cleaner)... Boot weight removed, rear wiper delete completed, 2x1p's installed in boot springs to eliminate the boot pop up issue... Bodywork clayed, polished and waxed, wheels refurbished in shadow chrome, front plate plinth with private plates installed, wiper arms painted and new tyres all round... Today I've ordered DBA T2 discs with Ferodo DS2500 pads all round. I should get those fitted this weekend if I get a few hours to myself! Future plans are to keep this until my knee gets better (currently undergoing Physio which I'm hoping is going to bring good news), I will definitely be booking a track day soon as I hear these things are ace on circuit. Absolutely love this thing so far. Let the fun begin!

Very clean, absolutely flake free paintwork. 2 of the rims are almost perfect, 2 have minor rash (no damage or harsh curbing), with a few hours work these could be tidied up (sand/mash/prime/touch up). They will come with excellent condition centre caps. No warping, perfectly straight and true. Will come with 2 Bridgestone RE050As with a few thousand miles left in them if the new owner wants them. Collection preferred but courier can be arranged at buyers cost. £325 as they are £525 refurbished and freshly coated in a colour of your choice by BA wheels in Norwich, approximately 1 week wait for this and subject to a deposit

Thanks, When is it? -
Wonderful thread. Recommendations on a shampoo for handwashing? Whats your favorite spray on wax? I've used autoglym aqua-wax and meguiars ultimate quik-wax, I quite like these, both are very similar.

Just spent 45 minutes flicking through the pages checking out the posts with pictures. Wow. Well done. I'm from Norwich, what's this Norfolk weekender you're referring to? -
Are they a direct replacement without the need to modify the loom etc.

Any Updates?

Looking at Demontweeks website (appears they have a sale on brakes) the black diamond G6 discs front and back are £264, I can't find the T2 discs for a similar price to this. PM sent

Guys, As much as I would like the big daddy of all discs (for obvious reasons), I cannot justify spanking top dollar at the moment. I'm going to be buying DS2500 pads and am considering pairing them with Black Diamond G6 discs (6 groove design). Any feedback/reviews on these discs? Have you used them on track? Thanks

I've had several pairs of motorcycle wheels powdercoated, including my track bike of which I hit 180mph at times, and I've never had a problem with powdercoating weakening wheels.

If you'd accept £60 delivered then I'll take this, on an absolute whim. -
Yeah I'm game for a meet. Yarmouth is good for me and I have no plans next Sunday

I went for Shadow Chrome from BA wheels. they look very very similar to yours. I'd recommend my mechanic (based in Thorpe), Graham. 07731125979. He's had my 350 in before and I know he has a few other 350 owners that use him

I'd really like a big meet. If you guys are all up for it, then we should discuss some dates and a location. Maybe a Snetterton track day...

I've seen 3-4 driving about the Norwich area. One or 2 black ones and 2 other gun metal 350s. Theres also a few 370's around this way too.

This is absolutely mega.

Hi Guys, I'm on the market for an electric polisher. I wanted your recommendations, I don't want to spend a fortune as it'd only be for polishing my daily driver - I'm no professional detailer. Also, what good value light cutting polishing compounds are good for gunmetal paint on the 350z to remove minor marring and swirls Thanks
