1. Its all in bits, anything to look for specifically? I've moved the needle with my finger and it feels the same as the others...
  2. Fair enough, I'll chillax a bit now. I thought I was honestly being told to get the car up on a ramp on the off chance someone wants an exhaust. Which they probably wont as its a long shot.
  3. I feel singled out since going through the many pages of traders I see adverts with no pictures. One's even an exhaust for an exhaust, which was what I was doing. Examples below, admittedly they're not that "new" http://www.350z-uk.c...arts-for-swaps/ and http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/82077-milltek-for-nismo/
  4. I'm disappointed, you guys expect me to drive with no exhaust just so I can possibly swap it? Basically I can't ever use the swaps board then, unless I forfeit my car.
  5. As the title says, I wasn't given any feedback at all and my thread hasnt been added. What's its' status, and if it was declined, why?

Courtesy bump, and another item to add:

Drivers side door vent / assembly
I promised my old man I'd fix the car before I mod it...and honestly this zed must have been built by a trainee given the amount of crap that's broke in the last year!
  7. My analogue speedo jams every 10mph until I whack the binnacle. The digital one is fine. Assuming something in the mechanism is missing a tooth, what's the chance of getting it repaired? Is it better just to replace it (lee?) and if so won't that mess up the cars reported mileage?
  8. No sorry mate I'm only selling as complete unless u want to but the Y pipe for £600 let me know if u change ur mind, I have a fair figure in mind
  9. I just got a pop charger and although the black filter on it is fairly neutral against the engine bay, I'd rather have it coloured to match my theme. I read from googling that you can dye them using cleaning kits, has anyone tried it or is there a better way? Sorry for the noob question!
  10. this is a future mod for me (MOT on Feb 13th, decat on the 14th!) but maybe you could hint how much the noise will go up? I knew the miltek would be quiet but I was hoping it'd at least have a purr or some unique character and its rather flat. That said I have an OEM y-pipe too, which I'm desperately wanting to get rid of for the miltek one...
  11. I might have a slight misconception to iron out, I always imagined the velocity stack goes at the top plenum end of the intake, so it goes down by the filter? Just got a pop charger but I wanted noise anyway, 300bhp is more than enough "go" for me!

    Delphi rear discs

Only place I've seen the name is for air con belts, but I just worry when the discs I have are half the price of Brembo. I know you pay for the name and at the end of the day they're all made of the same material but I wouldnt skimp on safety critical parts like brakes!

    Delphi rear discs

Hi, Father Christmas, read "my father" got me some Delphi discs for Christmas. I'd have only ever used brembos, is there going to be a notable difference such that I should secretly sell them on here to get brembos?

Was supercharged giving out 436Bhp@fly so went very well. Had to sell it earlier this year though unfortunately as a new house purchase with my Mrs meant it wasn't practical enough for what we needed at the time as well as a little more expensive to run than my current car. My build thread is in my signature if you fancy having a look at how it got to look like that.
I'll have a look, making sure to squint at any mention of money! My zeds already got bits from 5 or so forum members on it, I think by the time it's done it'll be the cheapest most 2nd hand Zed out there! The perks of picking a zed as your first "real" car...

Admittedly on the bolts front, I was reluctant to piece together a kit myself from generic parts but it seems easy enough to find the sizes needed, plenty of bolt threads ([s]no [/s]pun intended) on here. I'd do the same for hoses but the cost of one-off manufacture is way too high and there's gold kits out there. Nice engine bay btw, looks like a motor that means business

    Saints Zmas List

I'm expecting to spend a lot on the zed in the next few months and I've come up with the following wanted parts list, looking for good 2nd hand offers if anyone has any of these:

Miltek y-pipe
[s]Hydraulic bonnet struts, ideally carbon fibre[/s]
[s]Carbon slam panel[/s]
[s]Carbon battery / brake fluid cover[/s]
Carbon door pillars
[s]Pop charger / decent air intake[/s]
Gold coloured hoses
Gold coloured engine bay bolts
3/8th plenum spacer
Decats
Left side steering wheel controls (volume etc)
Drivers side door ventilation vanes
Carbon fibre engine cover
All parts needed for DE 350z, UK spec.
  18. Are you open to offers on the y-pipe? I can collect with cash just after xmas and I'm very keen to finish my incomplete miltek system
  19. japanparts have it, but I'm gonna look for cheapo FRP versions. Carbon is nice but seems wasted on a black car, looks best on white or silver.
  20. Thanks guys! Now to get the wallet and a can of spray paint... hehe! I'm thinking they'd look great on my Kuro, with a strip of gold paint to make them stand out even more. I'm 50-50 on the canards, as mentioned above they do go over the reflectors.
  21. As the title says, trying to identify the zed below, which a friend saw at a show. I'm interested to know where the canards and lip are from, I'm looking to put something like that on my black zed
  22. Hi, My zed is missing it's service history for the last two services (a P2 and P1), what is the best service to take on it now to get back to Nissans schedule? Should I just whack a P3 on it?
  23. Wondering if anyone is off to see Race of Champions on Saturday 21st? I'm heading down from Crewe in the zed, eager to find a car share to preserve my wallet...
  24. Hi, sorry for the late reply. The tips can be polished up, my current Milteks were worse than this and they're lovely and shiny now. The condition at the moment is that I've hacked off the flanges and got new ones ready to weld on. The new ones are higher quality parts than the OEM ones and shouldn't exhibit the typical flange failures that are prevalent on the zed. I can get them welded on but it'll be a while as I'm busy, or I can supply it as-is. Open to offers
  25. I was speaking to a copper about this recently and he said in the eyes of the law there is no such thing as an accident. It is a road traffic collision and all of them are meant to be reported to the police and they will then take a view as to whether any further action needs to be taken. He said its the law as it stands. Obviously they don`t tend to get involved in something that is just a small coming together but if its more serious then they take a view on whether action should be taken to stop it happening again, such as an awareness course. Or they may just prosecute because they feel the outcome requires it and you need to suffer the consequences. Hopefully he was wrong and you are not obliged to report it. I know i would never involve them unless forced to as they always seem to make matters worse On this topic, if there's a "next time" or for anyone else out there - what do you legally have to do after a minor accident? I called my insurance like a good boy to notify them of a potential claim which has led to them going "he made a claim lads, lets shred that NCB and pocket his cash!". Yes, I can get the money back next year once it blows over (I better do since I now have a thousand pound loan to cover that time!) but did I jump too soon? The other guy never even contacted his insurance, so I basically dobbed myself in. Adrian Flux are sympathetic, but the underwriters don't care about any of it, even telling me to go to the ombudsman if I had a problem. I did, and they said everything so far is within the law since there is potential for a claim up until 9 months after the event. Regardless, if this kind of thing happens again I'm giving the other guy my details and then waiting to see what happens.
