Next mini meet on Yarmouth sea front is on 12th July at 7.30pm outside Wellington Pier/Winter Gardens, lets see if we can get some better numbers for this one 1. TimC

I did not have a long enough socket to get on it so I had to compare with loosening and retightening the old one. Now I look at the old one you can see its tapered.

Had a good day doing some jobs on the zed today, one of those being new oil, filter and replacement of the oil pressure sensor. I noticed the original one was not screwed fully in but assumed that was how it should be. Took it out and found that there was a small bit of gasket seal stuck on the face of the sensor which must have been causing the original problem. Replaced it anyway and screwed it in until it got tight which was about half way in again. Filled up with oil checked for leaks all was ok, took it for a drive checked again all was ok. Anyway thought about it for a few hours and thought should it be tightened all the way in, checked some pictures online and they looked like it was fitted flush. Have a made a boob and should it be all the way in? Here is a pic of the old sensor showing how far it was screwed in, which is about the same distance as the new one went in.

Nobody got back so I did not figure it was not happening and weather was forcast for rain tonight. I may take a drive down front later and see if anyone is about.

Yea I want to do as much as I can myself as well, Halfords still have the 2 ton axle stands on special for £13, I have 4 now so can get all 4 wheels up safely now. I use Autosol for polishing the exhaust, seems to work well although there are others.

Should look good when done. The rain has stopped me doing anything today, I was hoping to get the exhaust polished, windscreen scratches polished, wheels off and wheel arches cleaned and few other bits. I am thinking of black handles, would be nice to get some black and gold Z badges as well.

I'm just waiting at the moment cause I hope to get my authorisation for my new reg in next few days. Any where after Munford looks like a good meeting place. I'm not familiar with the roads but there must be somewhere on the road between there and Feltwell.

Can do a meet on the Sunday 28th at 7.30pm if you want and hopefully we may get some more. As for the registration it could take about 4-5 weeks from buying to be able to put it on your car. I bought mine on 29th May and got the Certificate of Entitlement the next week, just waiting for confirmation on being able to put it on the car now. I understand in the near future you can do most of this online and it should be much quicker.

We can either meet up in Yarmouth and drive down together or meet up Norwich way and then drive the rest of the way together. Not sure if James and Rob are coming yet, maybe they can let us know when they read this. If they are we can meet up Norwich way and drive down in convoy. Everyone will need to get the forms filled in and emailed off soon, as they will need to get the car reg so we can get past security.

So we have a Car Show at RAF Feltwell near Thetford on the 4th of July, who is up for a meet then? All members are welcome with prizes for the best cars. Its sort of central in East Anglia so would be a good meeting place for all members of the region.

Well we could always put it back a week to the 21st but it would have to be a 7.30 start as I will be doing normal work hours again?

Just some small mods to enhance what was already done to the car. Got some TDI Gold wheel nuts which make the wheels look so much better, stubby aerial finally, reversing camera and a private plate. Just got to wait for confirmation to put it on the car now. Sounds like a good idea.

Just a bit further up the road then, what a small world I will be in same spot again today its my regular parking spot while I am working. Still in Yarmouth?

Don't know who owns that one, there are a couple of black zeds in Yarmouth who I don't think are on the forum. You probably passed my black Zed parked near the casino on the seafront today.

So how about a meet on 14th June at 7.00pm at the usual place, outside Winter Gardens/Wellington Pier? A little bit earlier this month, if there are some people who want to attend but cant come that late maybe we could start it a bit earlier. Let me know what you want to do.

I know how you feel, last year Zed was in the garage for over 3 weeks. The next meet will be 13th or 20th of June, trying to get 13th off work so may be able to do a day meet. If not I have 11 days holiday coming up end of June/July maybe we can all get together over one of those weekends and do something as a group. We may be able to get some extras with a day meet and maybe do something Norwich way which may pull in more numbers. Not sure what yet but will check what days off I have and check the local events see what we could do. Done some little mods over last week nothing major but small changes for the better

Sorry I cant make this one, got to work all weekend and sounds like it could be a good one as well. oh well hopefully got a couple of weekends off soon so maybe able to catch a show or a meet on one of those.
