I had actually thought of this before, dont think they have any events there but maybe we could get a group together to have a look round and have a meet. I think it was a minimum of 10 for group rates, would have to get in touch to find out more details, maybe you get a tour with a group? Its been a long long time since I last visited so not really sure what is there now, maybe you could enlighten us a bit about the museum and contents. If people are interested I could ring and find out a bit more.

No problem, I was outside and just inside the door, saw you go past a couple of times and then heard you from inside. I was quiet at the time so you could have come in for a coffee and chat if you could have found anywhere to park

Theres still a couple of weeks to go yet, if I get the day off I will be going for sure, hopefully we can go as a club if not we can all meet up and go in together like previous shows. I expect something will go up in the thread soon.

You may be the one I have seen fairly regular about the seafront, I always wave or flash when I see you and I think I have seen your friend as well. Do you work down the South Denes area by any chance? Yea we always have lots of things floating about our heads for our cars, think next thing to get mine is a D1 speed controller and then .......... so much

That would be awesome, you are most welcome to come along with your friend, the more Z's and owners we can get together the better. Its good to get us all meeting up cause you quite often see other Z's around town and never know if they are on the forum or not. I always flash or wave to other Z's, I may even have seen you or your car about. I see you have not been on the forum long, have you recently bought the car? I have seen a few new ones about recently, couple of black ones and some silver ones, never know if they are local or holidaymakers. Just a thought so far it looks like we potentially have a few cars for this one so we may have to move further up the seafront or just off it, lets start a list to see what numbers we have first. 1. I do like the Ultima GTR, looks like it was a good show. Weather turned out really nice here in the afternoon, too nice to be stuck in doors.

If I was not working I would be there, always looks like a good show but can never get the time off to go

My first gear box was terrible with grinding noises, clunking and just really hard to change gears. I had another one fitted from car of similar miles and age under warranty and this was ok for a few weeks but 2nd and 3rd gear started playing up on that one as well. I fixed it by changed the gearbox oil and putting in some Molyslip, it did not fix it straight away but after a week there were no horrible noises and changing gear was so much better. Only thing I get now is if its cold the first time I go into 2nd gear it just feels a bit stiff, but its fine after that. Not sure about the other problems but for the cost of the oil and Molyslip it may be worth a try. Others on here have fixed there gearbox issues by doing the same, its a real common problem. Try it, it may not fix all the issues but it may fix some of them. Maybe the revs dropping could be a dirty throttle body, my revs go up when I change gear, I suspect that is the problem with mine. Another job to do in the future

Well done that is a good time, I always say you can improve your time by 45-60 secs a mile under race conditions and its always good if you can get the time you aim for. My first 10k was under similar conditions and it was a character building run into a strong head wind with the rain lashing into me for half the race. I am doing 10Ks in about 50 minutes now but don't think I can get much quicker, at my age its all down hill now. If you are going to keep racing try a 5 mile race if you can see one coming up, you will find the shorter distance will mean you should get much faster mile times.

Good luck on the race for tomorrow, I ran my first 10k three years ago and I can remember how you are feeling. Enjoy the race and run your own race, don't start too fast and run at your own pace. I have run seven 10k's now and the best advice I can give you is make sure you are warmed up, I now go for a light jog for about 4-5 minutes before the race after some stretching. I know it sounds strange running before a race bit it really does work and I do much quicker times that way. Certainly dont worry about the rain it will help you and enjoy the day, it really is fun running in a race like this. Let us know how you get on after the race.

I just got a plate with my initials and ending in ZED, TC**ZED, I'm sure TB04ZZZ would look great on yours as well. I nearly got a ZZZ plate but in the end ZED won the day

The next scheduled meet is 9th August (topic heading changed), we usually meet outside the Winter Gardens/Wellington Pier but location may change as it may be too busy this time. Come down and join us we usually meet for a couple of hours and chat about Zeds. Hopefully next meet we should be able to get a few of us together. We do sometimes have some unscheduled meets if we can get a couple of other people together, if you are free one Sunday night before then let us know. I can meet most nights if you want a chat and compare Zeds, sometimes chatting over Zed problems between us and may be able help to find a solution.

Looks like it wont happen this week, so next one is 9th August, Jimmy will be back for that one. Strange thing happened last week when I was meeting up with Jimmy, apparently there were about 10 zeds and GTR's meeting on Beach Coach Station in Yarmouth. My mate told me on Friday when I saw him so where do they come from? Will drive past a few times tonight to see if its a regular thing, maybe a different club.

Yup still on, any rain should be finished by then if it does rain and its only light rain forecast. I should be there about 7.30pm, just need to get changed and put my new plates on first. If I can find it I will bring my spare reversing camera along if anyone wants it,. I got one fitted and works pretty well, covers that big blind spot perfectly.
