  1. Its always the same, you never see any around until you own one
  2. Shes looking really good, just compared the first picture in this thread with the last one and its a big difference, How are you finding the 19in wheels compared to the 18s?
  3. The usual meeting place is outside the Wellington Pier parked up in a line on the pavement from 7.30pm onwards. Like this This was Augusts one.
  4. Lol I was going to do so much to my car through the winter, picked her up last week after nearly 4 months in storage, sorry that should read in garage getting fixed I did say I was in no hurry as it was under cover instead of being out in the elements. Oh well maybe next winter
  5. Well I think the time Is right to organise the first meet of the year. The 10th of April seems like a good date, usual place and time. Also I think there is a big event organised here for easter weekend, not sure the day but I'm sure a few of the local zed will be down here so maybe some of us could meet up then as well.
  6. I could be tempted out if we can get some more cars.
  7. It will be good to see some new faces as well as the familiar ones this year. I picked my car up from garage and so far everything is good, wont be using it yet until weather improves apart from maybe the odd trip out on a good day. Its nice to see it sitting on my drive after what seems like 4 months away in storage.
  8. Seems like it was a really busy down there last night, I assume it will all happen again on Easter Sunday?
  9. Looking good mate, think it looks better on the darker Rays. You will have to repaint the wheels on the model car to match now
  10. That looks very interesting, I will have to try that on my next run. That is my one fear that I do not finish because one of my knees give out. Its all a bit of an unknown running that distance at the moment, another few weeks and I should know what its like to run 20+ miles if my training goes to plan. When I first said I would do the marathon I looked at my previous best times and added in what I thought would be the right amount for slowing up over the distance and I thought I may be about 3 hours 40 minutes to finish, then I thought if I could finish in under 4 hours I would be pleased. Now after some 2 hour runs I will be pleased if I finish
  11. I was using a training plan for an intermediate runner but i think I will drop down to more of a beginner plan, they seem to have less week day runs and the extra miles in the week may be what is causing the problems. I am finding that running at night in the cold is affecting my joints, normally I would not run much at night in the cold at this time of the year. I suppose thats an age related thing I will have to look at my warm up and down regime as it may be fine for shorter runs but on the long ones I may need to do much more.
  12. This morning my knees are really sore probably the worst they have been after a run but it was after running the furthest distance I have done. I think an easy week is the best thing now for my recovery leading up to another long run at the weekend. The training plan was for 5 runs a week, with short runs in the week and a long run on Sunday, most likely slim that down to 2 runs in the week and the long one on Sunday for the next few weeks. 15 mile run next week and 13 the week after according to my training plan I may do a little less and build it up more slowly. I find the long runs are harder mentally than physically, once you get going I can cope with the physical side and some pain but 3 and 4 hour runs will be hard. I also think I may see a sports physio for some massage as most of the pain in my knees seems to come from tightness in my legs, I stopped twice in the 2 and half hours to stretch my muscles for 30-40 secs and it was much better, got a bit of a history of injuries caused by tightness so I do lots of stretching before runs but it never seems enough.
  13. Last year I was approached by a local Animal welfare charity to run for them the London Marathon. I gave it some hard thought as I had only run a maximum of 11 miles before and usually run no more than 7 miles and I decided to say yes as at 52 years old I may never get another chance to get fit enough to run it. So here I am 5 weeks into training and finding it quite hard, finished a wet and cold 14.6 mile run in 144 minutes and this week I run a total of 36 miles. Knees and hips are quite sore tonight but it should get easier as I get further into the training schedule. I may even find that this may not be my one and only marathon, if it does not go too bad I may even try another one. Just wondered if any other runners on here had places in the marathon.,
  14. Welcome to the forum, nice looking Zed. May see at one of the Norfolk/Suffolk shows/meets in the coming year.
  15. Yea that looks like Jimmy I'm sure he will be along to confirm soon
  16. Your probably due some commission from the fortune I've just blown on that site! It's got everything I ordered some detail parts for my kits from them, the shop was a good find but still looking for somewhere that sells the resin Nismo bodykit for them. I am an aircraft modeller when I get time but looking forward to building these.
  17. Hiroboy.com has some wheels and detail sets in the UK if you want some quicker as well as some kits.
  18. I got one of those last year for my birthday, I also got one of these a few months later. Not built either yet but I will be building one soon.
  19. Did it have a rear spoiler, if so I think they work over gapton. Seen it a few times now.
  20. Looks really good I do like the Amuse front bumper, but as veilside said not sure about the eyelids. I have always liked those bumpers, is it any lower than your old one at the front, be interesting to know if it clears those speed bumps on the seafront
  21. And where are the photos And where are the photos oh tomorrow
  22. Welcome to the forum, it would be good to see another local zed in the area. There are a few of us in the yarmouth /Norwich area who try to get together every month in the spring and summer months.
  23. I know a good nissan garage! Nissan garage labour rates always frighten me, £2000-3000 bills for engine work seem common when users post from there experience. It may not be anything really serious but worst case scenario is timing chain stretched with tensioner damage and/or lifters damaged/blocked. I really hope its fuel dampers noisey with knocking noise travelling, seems funny the loudest place when listening with screwdriver is on top of plenum. Also the cracking noise I heard first with lumpy idling may possibly have come from exhaust not engine, last time I started it there was a crack from exhaust like a backfire. Have your mechaniacs had any experience of this type of fault on a 350? Not yet but I have spoke to the owner of a garage at Ludhamwho was highly recommended who seems to know what he is talking about with this type of problem and the way forward to identify and fix. He has a mechanic who has worked on performance cars with engine work but not 350's. He can pick the car up and have a look at it, so at the moment Im thinking that may be best course of action. Just worried that starting it and me trying to identify it myself could be causing possible damage if the chain lifters are damaged or out of sequence. Car is off road till spring anyway so no real hurrry to get it done but sooner I know what the problem is I can stop worrying its the the worst thing.
  24. Sounds like a good idea, December can get a bit busy but I'm sure we can find a date. I would most likely have to bring my shed though Yea its a real pain but it can be fixed at hopefully not too great a cost. Everything was running so well, still hopeful it may not be too bad.
