  1. Its registered with the DVLA as Silver, that's good enough for me The headlights posted above are the current plans, then maybe a Tarmac lip if I need more black to balance them out. In an ideal world, I'd like a set of 18 Varrstoen ES222 but I cant justify the price with perfectly good rubber still on the Rays currently.
  2. Popped out on my lunch break to try and get some worth while photos as a stop-gap until I can arrange a session with my mates SLR:
  3. Hi Si8pny, yes its already in progress actually which is sort of the motivation for creating this topic. I'll post full details up soon when they are fitted. And getting some decent pictures of the car is also on the to-do list!
  4. I decided it's probably about time to make my own topic now, after all I've owned the car for almost 2yrs now but never really felt I'd done enough to justify it or quick enough for that matter! So what follows will be abit of a re-cap of the past year+ to get up to speed with things I bought the car from Junction17 (... I know!) and it was a completely standard GT with 32k on the clock. The first thing I did was eBay a set of Ray alloys as it needed new rubber all around so it was the perfect time for man maths! Rays on with new rubber: The standard aerial above didn't last long either. That was next on the hit-list: All fitted: Next up was cleaning up the appearance. A clean set of (dealer unbranded) number plates and some Plasti-dip for the bumper: (excuse the flash) It was my first attempt at Plasti-Dip and I'm happy with the result: The next cosmetic mod to be done was to address the wheels so some spacers were ordered and fitted during a brake refresh: And fitting shortly after some (slightly rusty....) BlackDiamonds discs: That was it for cosmetics and my attention then shifted to the performance side of things and my most expensive mod to date was ordered: This was fitted to compliment a plenum spacer, velocity stack airbox mod and panel filter. My friend who also has a 350z had booked us both in for a remap at Horsham and I wanted to make sure everything was in place ready. On the day: My mates: And the result from all that? Pretty chuffed! With that out of the way I decided to tidy up the interior, an aftermarket gearknob and a Royal Steering retrim were fitted. Before: After: Which almost brings me up-to-date with where my car is currently, the last area of attention which has been the lights. I sourced a (2nd hand via the forums) pair of rear LEDs fairly easily which were probably the easiest modification to fit: And fitted along with a fog-light clear out: So that brings me up to where the car is currently essentially. This is just the bits I grabbed pics of along the way and doesnt cover the boring/routine stuff like: - Banana Arms - Oil sump leak (twice) - P1 Service + all fluids + sparks - Window Motor etc that have all eaten into my zeditus budget along the way
  5. So many good games at the moment, struggling to prioritise what to get. I've bough Gears of War 4, but i also want Forza Horizon, Battlefield and the new TitanFall. I also want the new Final Fantasy thats out next month
  6. Playing the new Gears of War 4 its great, if you buy a digital copy you get it on Win10 too and the games multiplayer supports cross-platform so you can still play with your console friends if you wish. Loving the horde mode with my mates, its proper tough when you want it to be.
  7. The missus being in the car wont count, the witness has to be impartial to count so its still your word against his at the end of the day. Maybe now you'll become a dashcam convert with the rest of us, shame its too late to help in this situation through
  8. Quick delivery too, I only ordered on Saturday. It's beaten my self-adhesive aluminum tape that was from a UK seller Edit: I wont derail this topic any further now, I'll make a separate one when I get the chance to have a play with these. This concludes my buying/eBay part of things
  9. Lovely car, I think I've just found inspiration for how I'd like mine to end up looking. If you decide to sell the wheels let me know
  10. To expand on Payco's advice, ditch the supplied nuts and bolts altogether provided by Ark to attach the tips to the system. They are too big and mine started to rust within weeks. H1979 a member on here told me to get some "Marine stainless steel button bolts" from eBay: Bolt - 181754222286 - m6, 12mm long 5 pack Nut - 181741944218 m6 (obviously), 10 pack Washer - 181752147248 m6, 10 pack. Don't regret listening to his advice and considering how cheap they are from eBay its a no brainer.
  11. My thoughts too, whoever traded that in part-ex must have been robbed if they are able to sell it on at that price and presumably make a profit!
  12. The throw shouldnt be an issue as facelift headlights have a greater output alegedly compared to my 04 units already. They have the same adjustment cogs/wheels as OEM so side to side will have some play just like up/down will. Cheers for the bulb heads-up, I got that from BulletMagnets guide posted on here already.
  13. haha I can clearly tell Hodaka has been giving these headlights some thought/research. For info I'm not planning on baking them open to access the shield, I'm going to try using self-adhesive aluminium tape through the bulb opening to see if I can apply the tape to the shield that way first. No harm in trying. I just want to make the shield cutoff as flat as possible (if it isnt already) rather than potentially kicking up to the right for LHD cars. Like i said in my post its abit of a punt but if you can point me out where I can source a pair of new, facelift headlights for <£400 I will gladly not waste my time on LHD Depo units
  14. Spotted this today: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/302090514994 First time I've seen them for sale outside of America (other than Torqen). I've taken a punt and will try to convert the shield cutoff to RHD before fitting. FYI I made an offer of €385, he countered with €410 so essentially free shipping.
  15. Could be an air-leak or an issue with the throttle body. Id remove the TB first, give it a clean, and make sure you refit everything tightly and see how you get on.
  16. Shame you didnt get the door handles done, you've changed every other bit of silver on the car but left them untouched
  17. I would have said ballasts too but the fact you are saying its happening to both headlights id be doubtful both ballasts would be faulty at the same time. As others have said, battery/earth related by the sounds of it.
  18. Good to see Eagle F1 3's getting the recognition they deserve, I was surprised when some members were slating them in another topic on here the other day. Great tyre.
  19. Its so damn annoying that you have to take the whole steering wheel/airbag out to get at these because they are screwed in, and you cant access the screw as its hidden behind all the plastic trim.
  20. Yeah it can work so long as they dont disconnect it, see: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3404946/Subaru-owner-s-anger-garage-staff-pothole-video.html
  21. Did a quick search on here and didn't get any results for this. Spotted these on my usual eBay trawl: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-350Z-Z33-Tein-Street-Basis-Z-Coilovers-Dampers-Suspension-03-08-/122131227387 Most relevant review I found was on youtube (warning: Murica content): Just wondering if anyone has any hands-on experience with these, a £250 saving over other entry level coilovers is not to be sniffed at IMO.

    tyres on a budget

People often cast judgement on "Eagle F1's" without stating which variation they are referring to. As Rich points out, they are on their 3rd model currently "Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3". I'm running them all around on the Zed, I highly rate them. As do alot of others if this is anything to go by: http://www.tyrerevie...symmetric-3.htm
  23. Ok seeing how you're on a roll of pricing up cheap Nissan parts, any bargains going on facelift front headlights?
  24. OEM. Just go to the alignment place and ask them for the nissan settings. Unless you have a camber kit fitted you are pretty much stuck with that.
