Happy to be shot down here but why bother with magnetic sump plugs?
My reasoning being that really high end engines, Ferrari, Porsche, buggati, none of them see the need for putting a magnet on the sump out of the factory. Adding a £20 magnet on exotic engines would hardly be difficult to justify if there were any benefits.
My guess is there are no benefits hence why every manufacturer is not putting them on.
Because a lot of our cars are roughly 10yrs+ old and over the years tolerances change. From new when everything is still perfect I agree there's probably not much benefit as the running in process is there to help.

Save the money and get a magnetic sump plug instead, that's the best improvement when changing the oil

Exige - requires own race track, which adds about £ 10 billion to the cost.
Evora - Too tracky, plus I could have a GTR for that.
An Evora isn't tracky, that's why they make the Exige for that role. Have a watch:
I'd have one in a heartbeat if i had the funds over any German alternative (at the same price point mind).

Correct.
Technically on the car already but need to finish off height and other bits tomorrow.

Makes the 350's £800 each seem reasonable .... almost

I'll stop you right there because AFAIK they're illegal.
I agree with your not worth the hassle point but not about them being illegal. They can be made legal:

I still wouldnt fit them regardless mind!

From looking at the pics I thought you had fitted the Depo headlights too, they deffinately look to have dark/black internals in those pictures. Could just be lighting I guess. Either way, great looking car but then I'm bias

After reading this topic and few PM exchanged with Jerrick I have dedicated to give a try to Meister R Gt1's. Originally I set my mind on Tein Monoflex so Gt1's are little bit over budget and in price range of Kw 3.
Due to my job time when I'm at home I tend to spend quality behind the wheel. Car is twin turbo suspension has already upgrades in terms of toe arms front and rear, energy suspension bushings and so. I did tried my share of various coilovers on my rides as well others from Chinese all the way to Kw Clubsport. So how it look by the end February begging March it should Gt1's should be on the car and will writte a review. My test route is 420 km from capital to sea side. Mixture of everything fast section, curvy one's, over the mountain where the rod is quite bumpy due to temps in winter which cause tarmac to crack. And of course track day event on Grobnik race track

I look forward to reading the update in your epic build thread. Keep us posted

Both cars were hooned to the limit and beyond, to me.
2 secs is an age on a track like that, just shows how competent the Megane actually is. Never driven a Megane, but if it's anywhere near as much fun as a Clio then I can see why people would buy one over a 370. £10k less, quicker in all conditions, cracking chassis, more practical... Unless you really want the V6 noise, why get a 370?
I came from a Megane 250 before my 350z (with a 182 Trophy inbetween). Great cars, very capable and quite a bargain performance wise but I wanted a change from hatchbacks. Mine depreciated a fair bit too, I was the 2nd owner from nearly new (<10k miles).

lol Erni. Is that on a DE or HR car out of interest? Not that it should matter, they had both in the vid and seemed to work afterall.
I wonder why they removed them.
-
huh where? I couldnt see it in this section.

Contains Murika content but still pretty neat, makes me wonder how many of these (if any, its cold out so haven't tried) are applicable to our UK models:
Just popped up on my feed, Youtube is getting pretty good at suggesting things I wouldnt normally find.

Pops n bangs does that include spitting flames
No just 2 ruined cats

Hahahaha! You do realise that's all copy and paste from other sites. It's been doing the rounds for years!
Who's reaction to the video did he copy/paste then above where he was agreeing or explaining why he didn't to the points raised?

Loving the detail in here. You can really tell Jerrick nerds out on this stuff for his job given the length of the replies, its reassuring to see at least from a bystanders perspective

Might as well add todays effort seeing how I already bumped the topic replying to STYLZ. Wasted a bit of time trying to de-salt the car this afternoon. The condensation issue has practically disappeared too with the milder weather we are getting,

Looking good mate, did you manage to adjust the beam far enough to suit RHD cars?
I've seen some OEM ones for sale in the States and was wondering if anyone knew if they're adjustable also??
Adjusted at point of fitment yeah. You can see the light cutoff in the above picture is flat so it doesn't kick-up at the sides and is easy to avoid glare/dazzling in that respect.
No idea about OEM's sorry, I suspect you'll have to take a punt and find out. My pre-facelift OEM's had a kick to the light pattern though, worth baring in mind that even if you can adjust them they might not be as flat as the above DEPO image.

If you're planning on doing the front lip, wheels and roof you are essentially removing any of the original silver, so seems a bit pointless to leave the door handles in that colour if they dont match anything else anymore. Just in case you had overlooked them
-
Have you replaced the DMF with a Single Mass when you've replaced the clutch? If so, how are you finding it in comparison?
-
Was it possible to get S-Tune performance without the cosmetics, could it be the owner added these afterwards himself?
Either way if I was after a low mileage 350z Id pick this over a similar priced HR, its more special IMO. And looking at AutoTrader all the similiar mileage/price cars are all convertibles or DE's anyway

The listing states: "open to offers around 1200" so he obviously has a price in mind and wont let them go for cheaper, no doubt a 2nd account will bid them up to the estimate as if by magic

Park as far away from everyone else at the back and preferably in a corner/end spot to limit your contact with the knuckle draggers.
Or send the missus
Or shop online
A reflector is a relatively cheap lesson so chin up

All of us (unless already sorted, or owned since new and kept ontop of it) will have the same problem eventually. Just wait for it to show through on the outer surface under the paint and then deal with it basically

When i did this with my friend and his 350z matt, we originally bought and fitted 2x chrome/silver red bulbs but they failed the MOT due to not being bright enough. So instead we went with LED bulbs which are fine. I bought this and we have one each fitted currently:

They are pretty bulky but do sit fine within the housing, I had my reservations at first if they would fit
