  1. Pair of facelift headlights anyone? Spotted while replying to another headlight topic on here. (cant link image, its huuuuuuge) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Nissan-350z-UK-Facelift-Headlights-Bi-Xenon-Headlamps-immaculate-/162368001631 £700
  2. ^ True good point. Not sure why i said foil, I was planning on using some aluminium heat tape (used for ducting and the like). I couldnt get enough access via the bulb opening but if you are planning on baking the headlights open Ashenfox you wouldnt have this issue I bought these Depo for <£400, wheres the 1 grand price tag coming from Ashenfox? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/302090514994
  3. Theres alot of work for little gain in my opinion. There are risks involved with baking open the headlight and resealing it correctly, not to mentioning modifying internals without damaging anything (they arent designed to for easy access/removal). Unless you can get a pair of dummy headlights to mess around with and experiment on first, id say you would be better off just either: living with the "wrong" headlights, or stumping up for some correct ones in the first place. The flaps are curved by the way to match the curvature of the glass lens so you cant turn them around as such. You would have to grind/cut them flat or (as i planned on doing) attach some aluminium foil over the the step to smooth it flat.
  4. It's hard to please Hodaka with headlight pics, I still havent been able to satisfy his exacting standards either flat carpark, night-time, far enough away, non-coloured/brick wall thats smooth etc Your eBay link doesnt seem to work though Scotzman, you have the facelift LEDs but your Item number links to pre-facelift headlights?
  5. EPR are local to me, they are based in Loughborough and I've bought a couple of bits without issue so far (panel filter, gear knob etc).
  6. Doubt its Depo, i never had to shim my bulbs for bright spots or the likes.
  7. Stillen calls them turnbuckles Have a read: https://www.stillen.com/stillen-2003-2005-nissan-350z-front-splitter-oem-fascia-1035011sp/vehicle/2004-nissan-350z.html
  8. Wheels, Roofspoiler, Bumper, Headlights will all sell easily and can be swapped to standard items. This will help offset the low car sale value.
  9. If they are from a VXR then it will be the "cross sportster CS" variation i posted above. Vauxhall never fitted any of the proper Sportster CS range with the bigger bolster to my knowledge.
  10. Love their stuff, shame the show got cancelled and they dont make them anymore
  11. Bare in mind there are different versions of Recaro CS seats, the ones fitted to LandRovers and the likes are "Cross Sportster CS" with smaller bolsters: http://www.sportseats4u.co.uk/recaro-cross-sportster-sport-cs-seat/prod_3225.html Compared with "Sportster CS" types fitted to RenaultSports for example: http://www.sportseats4u.co.uk/recaro-sportster-cs-sport-seat/prod_585.html Either way for £500 its a bargain regardless which version
  12. Some people on the US forum have fitted them, but due to their price they aren't a common sight. You will need to get some seat bases fabricated, theres no off the shelf 350z Recaro rails/base Im affraid. Found the link: http://my350z.com/fo...cs-leather.html Id love to do it as well if they werent £1400+ (used) for the seats alone
  13. The demand for half-price tax keeps them desirable, depreciation free motoring
  14. PMSL! I was thinking the same after reading that other topic. RobPhoboS excellent write up, do you have any pics of how you have the car currently sitting? Also any chance you could do a current list of all your aftermarket suspension parts?
  15. When i did this with my friend and his 350z matt, we originally bought and fitted 2x chrome/silver red bulbs but they failed the MOT due to not being bright enough. So instead we went with LED bulbs which are fine. I bought this and we have one each fitted currently: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2X-25w-CREE-LED-7440-T20-RED-CANBUS-ERROR-FREE-BRAKE-CAR-LIGHT-BULBS-/152379057649?hash=item237a7fe5f1 They are pretty bulky but do sit fine within the housing, I had my reservations at first if they would fit
  16. Because a lot of our cars are roughly 10yrs+ old and over the years tolerances change. From new when everything is still perfect I agree there's probably not much benefit as the running in process is there to help.
  17. Save the money and get a magnetic sump plug instead, that's the best improvement when changing the oil
  18. An Evora isn't tracky, that's why they make the Exige for that role. Have a watch: I'd have one in a heartbeat if i had the funds over any German alternative (at the same price point mind).
  19. Makes the 350's £800 each seem reasonable .... almost
  20. I agree with your not worth the hassle point but not about them being illegal. They can be made legal: http://trafficlawadvice.co.uk/numberplates.html http://www.number1plates.com/pressed-metal-number-plates/ I still wouldnt fit them regardless mind!
  21. From looking at the pics I thought you had fitted the Depo headlights too, they deffinately look to have dark/black internals in those pictures. Could just be lighting I guess. Either way, great looking car but then I'm bias
  22. I look forward to reading the update in your epic build thread. Keep us posted
