  1. for the clutch go on ebay, search for 'parts4less'. P4L are a sister company of EuroCarParts, and their ebay site is slightly cheaper than their main site, which is a lot cheaper than ECP, which in turn is cheaper than most other suppliers.
  2. Surely it would be cheaper to go south and get one then???? Or get one transported up there
  3. Manifold/exhaust joints, fuel lines If you've just had cluch done they will have taken part of the exhaust off so my guess is that
  4. got a facelift interior though? But that is an insane amount for a DE. I paid less than half of that for a car with a much better spec 6 months ago. Granted mileage is low, but I always buy on condition. Rubber bushes etc will still deteriorate over time.
  5. Wasn't it AV we had the referendum on? which was rightly so rejected. I would much prefer PR, and I reckon it would get voted in, although neither Labour nor the Tories would want it, so I think we'll be a long time waiting
  6. I had mine done by Autoglass about a week ago - screen was scratched (didn't notice until I drove it home), left half of the cables hanging out and there's wind noise from the driver's door at 50mph+ Much complaining later they are fitting a new one - but have to wait another 3 weeks. Needless to say they will be watched like a hawk.
  7. It is when I'm working in York! I'll probably chuck the order in when I'm not stuck in client meetings (and clearly paying good attention....)
  8. Was only thinking of getting something for weekend tinkering purposes, so no worries
  9. I find anyone voting labour as irresponsible tbh - you can't borrow your way out of debt. But as you say, a lot of people don't have a clue what they vote for. Have fun enjoying your benefits when/if Labour's run the country into true bankruptcy
  10. Will you be matching/beating Torqen's offer?
  11. Interested. How does it attach (ie to what)? A previous owner allowed the underside of mine to get decimated, hence no tray and some leftover bits of plastic flapping around, which I presume are the original 'brackets'
  12. Toolstation do one for £20 (silverline) and a Draper for £30, both with spare pads available http://www.toolstation.com/shop/p52526
  13. Rear diff - fairly good and common point to jack?
  14. It is 'garaje' though, not flipping 'garidge'
  15. I had a driver of a Ka cursing me as he was waiting (giving way to me), despite the fact that s smart car would barely fit through the gap he was offering. No car damage, granted, but still a pillock.
  16. On the grammar front: people who can't distinguish between less and fewer and also, most infuriating for me is when people say 'for free'! Drives me up the wall.
  17. If you don't know what you're doing with auto electrics, probably best to leave them alone, before you cause a fire!
  18. Yeah you'd have to be running hundreds of leds to overload the circuit!
  19. Well you need to drop the gearbox out, so I think you'll need 3ft high axle stands at a minimum, along with rolling around on the floor, and somehow controlling the weight of the gearbox. Unless you go for the engine out route, in which case you still need to get under it to disconnect the gearbox to engine bellhousing bolts. No idea why they won't do it. Craig at H-dev did mine in 3.5 hours, ish. If doing it yourself it would probably take a day. I just didn't have the time.
