Before remapping my Zed, it got decatted, a full service and a terraclean done. I wanted Dynatune to have a good clean car to work with. Can't say whether or not it helped actually clean out the engine but it definately felt smoother when driving through to Chris to get the uprev done. For a £100 it's a no brainer for cars getting on in years and miles.

Just a thought mate but I've always found having a holiday, gig, road trip or some other adventure planned is a great way to get through the dark times. There is plenty of National road trips (and international) going on with this very forum. There'll be the Le Manns trip, Nurbergring and quite a few UK Road trip events happening in the spring time. Why not scour the events pages and look to get involved with the trips. I realise they will all be a good few months away but signing up for them and getting involved in the event as it builds up is great way to cheer yourself up and more importantly. ... have somethings to really look forward to with like minded people. Car meets are good for a few hours but a holiday away in the zed with mates from this forum is superb. However you get through the coming months / years I wish you the best of luck, make your own luck and steer your life to what makes you happy.

West coast is defo where it's at, the East coast of Scotland is the pits in comparison, except the Spittle of Glenshee road. Hoon 2017 we will be avoiding the A9 like the plague, we may have to use it to get to some better roads heading West, but just depends on final route I plan, but it will be just a means to an end kind of road

Is this route really busy with tourists in the summer Like any tourist hotspot, July and August it is but in May June it's a little less busy, that why I'm organising our trip for may + you don't get the ass ripped out of you for hotel stays at that time.

That was my thinking also, I get a quieter whine at lower speeds when driving round as well so going to assume it's related. Assuming something like a gearbox bearing isn't going to be cheap. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Nowt cheap about gearbox work mate

Sound's more like a gear box bearing than a wheel bearing. Wheel bearings are easy to check, just jack the car up and try and wiggle the wheelside from side to side, if it moves then there's your problem

Ford Fair at Silverstone 2016: So..... turned the big '50' this year son my son and his gf treated me (and the wife) to a weekend away down south to take in the Ford Fair show. I love old MKI, II, III Escorts and I had a few as young un (wish to hell I'd had chrystal ball back in the 80's, would never have sold them on !!!. Anyways a few pics from the show. ^^ SUPER rare Rally car........ who can name it ?? This car belongs to an Edinburgh Tuning shop, Sitec, very well known tuner in these parts. Hes' done a few bits on my sons Focus ST and no doubt his RS will be going to see him soon. Nice number plate ??? Not sure if I get this artwork but you still gota give the owner qudos for going there !!!

That's a dull one !!!!, have you moved to a high risk area ?. Might be worth trying to Google car thefts etc between your old post code and new post code -

Thanks Mark..... it's coming together nicely and I love my bay although I know most modders try to stick with a one or two colour scheme I thought with having Ricey@revolveautomotive hydro dipped universe design plenum and cover that gave me the opportunity to go colour mad and "rainbow" my bay and I feel it works, plenty going on in the bay but the individual parts can all be seen clearly, if you know what I mean lol. It's only down to the genius skills of member traders like Ricey and you that we get to personalise our rides.

So after 2 years ownership and a few grand in mods, I thought it time to get my time so far with my Zed documented. Many of the members who have been here for a number of years will know I bought my Zed after a well known member (Hensh65) traded it in, Kris's build thread here http://www.350z-uk.c...ge__hl__hensh65 for all to see the start of the modding of my car. Kris pretty much took care of all the exterior body mods and done a cracking job imho with Amuse GT front end, Chargespeed rear and side skirts, V1 spoiler and 350z bulge bonnet and I have taken the engine bay and interior up a few notches, pretty sure if Kris had kept the car he would have too. Anyway some pic whoring This ^^ is her when I first got her home. My first Zed event was the Lake Z weekend with my son (on the right) and what a weekend it was. Martin promised a star for the saturday night entertainment and he duly delivered on his promise, one of my teen idols.... and I had front row seats . Show time from Zeds of bygone years. Not sure who all the owners are but God they are beautiful cars. Lake Z was a cracking weekend, the weather was great on the saturday and as I was one of the first there it was great to get pitched up, chill out and watch all the members and Zeds come rolling in for the event. After Lake Z the modding started and zedititus set in. Exterior wise the car was complete so that left the tuning mods and engine dress up to crack on with. First up was a Berks polished intake courtesy of Torqen, polished plenum and RARE JDM engine cover, that didn't last long when I seen this plenum and cover from Ricey@Revolveautomotive. Poor guy never had a chance to put a for sale sign up and I was badgering him for them lol. Once the plenum and cover were fitted along with Berks intake pipe I set about rattle can-ing some engine plastics, came out well for a first time rattle can-er. That's pretty much all I did for a few months, till nice goodies starting turning up on the for sale section. Roughly this time last year I took over the REO central Scotland job from Kris and organised a few run outs, including a visit to the Zed Guru Zmanalex and his workshop. Stupidly I didn't get pictures of that day so if any of the members who attended did please feel free to post them up on my build thread. Alex is a gem of a man and is a mine of information on all things Z and tuning and wasn't fazed at all by about 12 people all throwing questions at him about his TT Zed, GTR and his other track toys......Oh and the Jag he was working on. Top bloke so if you ever get the chance to meet him, do so. Next on the mod front was a visit to Chris @ Dynatune for a remap. I had concluded all my breathing mods, plenum spacer, Flyboys air box mod, K&N air filter, intake pipe, Terraclean service and decats, so time to pull them all together with the Uprev map. Was a good day through with Chris and happy to have been told that the engine was good and healthy and pulled 253bhp and 247lb torque at the Hubs. 2016 NC500 SCOTTISH HOON One of the highlights of my Zed ownership has definitely been the NC500 hoon I organised and which we done in May 2016. Hours and hours in the planning but man it was so worth it. I done it years ago with my mate on our motorbikes but we just went with the flow with routing and camped (but this time around needed some serious planning) and always wanted redo it, so thought why not with the Zed forum, put my post up and the response from all over the UK was immense. Members from as far as the south coast of England, Wales, the Midlands and Scotland all joined up for it. Pictures below. 13 cars in total and 20+ people, and we had a ball. Scottish Hoon MKII for 2017 is already in early planning stages and hopefully everybody who made this years will make 2017, along with some new faces, different route but still taking in the important roads Loads more photos here http://www.350z-uk.c...ay-2016-photos/ A pm to 14N and this was delivered. So in the last months or the modding bug started again and I bought these from a member. OEM 350z seats were looking a bit tired and I wanted to go with black seats so these 370z seats were purchased from a member. http://i44.photobuck...zpsue4lr00a.jpg http://i44.photobuck...zpswxrl7w1p.jpg Wheels refurbed too with neochrome nuts to go http://i44.photobuck...zpsrmucfvct.jpg http://i44.photobuck...zpsyu1vsewv.jpg A few hours spent mooching around the Member Traders section......a few pm's later and these we ordered and delivered. http://i44.photobuck...zpsyjnuwdxp.jpg Mopedmarks genius skills....blinged bonnet catch, throttle body, oem strut polished and painted to match Marks strut and slam panel. Also ordered a NRG grounding kit from Chris at Tarmacsportz. Heres them all fitted and the bay is blinged. http://i44.photobuck...zpsquv9syge.jpg http://i44.photobuck...zpsfvfqh4sb.jpg http://i44.photobuck...zpsgohmjtgv.jpg http://i44.photobuck...zpsup4otx8b.jpg Stupidly I forgot Marks slam panels were for oem front ends and the slam panel is a little out with the Amuse, but Ill have a fettle with it and get it to fit as best as I can, just not had the time yet. http://i44.photobuck...zps2wtvfmsq.jpg Not sure whats next on the moding front.....was thinking about Nos-ing her but still not sure yet. I wont go down the FI route as I have other plans for that money next year, a CL600 V12 twin turbo beckons and I'll probably add that to the collection asap next year. A little pic whoring before I finish for today. Got lots more photos and events to write up about, private track day, Crail Raceway, Knockhill, JAE 2015 and Ford Fair 2016 but enough for today. A wash, wax and headlight refurb. http://i44.photobuck...zpsabiddehi.jpg http://i44.photobuck...zpse8eyhtkh.jpg http://i44.photobuck...zpsgrpf1uni.jpg http://i44.photobuck...zpsu5wcggij.jpg

I've got my old oem engine cover sitting gathering dust in my shed you can have for free, it's fine physically but in need of refurbished paint wise ( not painted by me lol), I'll even post it free of charge down to you. I replaced it with a hydro dipped job from Ricey@revolveautomotive.
