  1. Hydro dip it ?. Trader on here Ricey@revolveautomotive, does amazing dipping work and will look just like the real thing at a fraction of the cost
  2. Had all belt / clutch / DMF / rad fans / thermostat / coolant hoses changed in July with full coolant flush and change. I'd still check your aux belts for tension, they will have slackened off a bit now and may need a wee tweak, especially if your only hearing it when the car is cold. If the whistle goes away after the cars been driven / warmed up, then it's most likely the belts.
  3. , you'll need to up your budget a bit bud for a decent / good one with decent mileage and a good service history
  4. Theres a couple of members selling exhausts in 350z for sale section, might be worth a look if your on a budget
  5. Thanks lads, just the info I'm looking for. End game is to achieve much better acceleration, happy to lose top end a bit as it's not like your able to drive at 155 top end on our roads anyway. Drag strip is more my thing than track days, but was looking into learning to drift in the new year so looking for a diff that gives me these two options. @ Chubby Ninja, Steve that's very good of you mate, will get in touch nearer the time if I go ahead with this mod. I guess the next question is ..... how much to buy these options ?
  6. i cant really take credit for it I've watched that a few times a still struggle with the maths . So... If I wanted faster 0-60 for Crail drag strip days, I would increase ratio to 3.9 or bigger then ??
  7. Do people do this as a mod to the zed ?. I've seen posts regarding the quaife diff and watched a few yt vids, is the quaife really as good an upgrade as the vids make out, as in for real road driving experience or is more for track / racing you would do it ?
  8. I'm not the most techy guy and have trouble getting to grips with diff tech talk. Can a member who does know the techy stuff explain (in layman terms) what the different diffs and ratios mean and do and whats best for fast road use and if you do change the diff / ratio, does it go hand in hand with upgraded suspension ? Looking at this as a mod for next year if there is an real difference in the feel and power delivery of the car in doing this. Or if this has been covered before can you point me to the link as I cant find what I looking for exactly.
  9. underestimate as in fwd can be seriously quick and fun cars. Anyone can make a car fast in a straight line, and anyone can drive a FWD car round a corner quickly because a little lift will kill the inevitable understeer if you enter too quick. Driving something RWD takes a whole new level of talent and commitment, and that's why it's far more rewarding than FWD could ever be. No-one is saying that FWD can't be fast or fun. What I'm saying is that like for like, RWD is always preferable if you have (or want) the skill to use it properly. so why was rwd not quicker when we were on track? Coz I'm a $hite driver lol
  10. ..............first mod = stubby, it's In the rules

    Emisions failure

Could be it's the single cat, but mine passed (just) with decats, however it had just been terracleaned and serviced. when was your Zed last serviced, plugs, oil, filters etc ?. Run some red ex or better through it also, take It for a good blast and then try again.Failing that find a friendlier mot tester.
  12. Just watched and loved it........not too far away from the TG format and good to see the 3 amigos chemistry is still there, will only get better as the shows go on
  13. Teschio, we spoke on Facebook this afternoon, hope you get the info you need, as said on facebook, Zmanalex is your man
  14. Lol that did cross my mind so think I'll going with what I said in post #32
  15. TBH Ashen I don't think what I was thinking will work and $hitting it that it will ruin her and have to stump up for another spray job. More likely to go down the route of original colour respray and a clear PPF over the front end.
  16. Works well on this car, but I think it's because it's a bright orange, still not so sure it will work on mine with it being the sunset orange
  17. Now that would work well I think and I've been on the lookout for these vents so that could well make it work, thanks again for your input, and you Ashen, all very much appreciated guys.
