  8. Hi chaps. i have a list PM or post which of the above you have and what your look at for them. thanks DE engine where applicable - Oil dipstick - Inlet Manifold (top half required preferably) - throttle body - coolant reservoir - original 'air duct/ snorkle / funnel'/airfeed for oem airbox - OEM '06 or Velocity stacked airbox. im hoping people have some of this general crap laying around that they dont need anymore i'm drive up country from time to time, so possibility to collect. but probably postal prefered. thanks Pritchard

  12. I thought i did... offer was to remove the remap. I'll be in contact in due time. I'm just updating the results thread before i forgot the Wales figures.
  13. Stop indicating. You're on a race track
  14. Thread Revival. Its been 6 months, and some 15,000miles since the remap ( i drive alot). My mpg is still really low to how it used to be, in closed loop driving (i.e, light footed, not Wide Open throttle). i've kind of learnt to live with it. but the confirmation came during the Wales meet a couple of weeks ago, a couple of us convoyed from London, so on the walkie-talkie i asked the guys to reset their trips. i was 3rd in a convoy of 3 - so wasnt setting the pace, and was keeping an even footing going through north london and north circular, with lots of roudabouts and lights, i was 20.point-something, whereas a DE and HR i was with were both quite close to each other, in the high 20s. maybe not the best test. so when we hit the motoway and were driving a little more sensibly we reset. They were on 34-35mpg at steady driving (to suit traffic. 60-75mph). One of these cars was Bradders, who those at Wales know hes lost at least 1 valve seal or oil ring the smoke from that thing, cor! me, i was on 25-26mpg! thats huge. My exhaust has since the remap always smelt of unburnt fuel when leave the drive / parkup. but Bradders made mention on the trip that when driving behind me, it was quite strong. Yes i have sports cats, but unburnt fuel isnt a symptom of sports cats.in fact it will kill them. 10mpg. thats some heck of a figure thats now been proven in a comparison. having spoken to other remapped Z's during recent meets, it seems i'm not the only one with the issue. but, not everyone has the complaint. seems odd that some of these results seem to be polarised. So, now i know its not a magical-overnight-heavyfoot-syndrome, i'm going to be looking at getting this re-remapped. Pritchard
  15. sht sht sht. only just seen this one. who took the plenum? didnt see a name on the thread?
  16. Afternoon, Im gather a set of stuff for round 2 of engine bay dipping. with it are to be a manifold plenum and a TB. while its out, i fancy getting it ported, and match it to the TB, with a larger butterly. im not looking for the 'what HP will it give you' debate. lets just call it zero, because thats probably where its going to be. and lets not start the fuel atomisation debacle either. so, do we have any traders that do such work? Or, anyone used a particualr company before? I've used a couple places for the full headwork before, but they only specialise in a particular engine, and wont entertain a 'foreign' manifold for a one-off. (ive asked). Cheers in advance. Pritchard
  17. this is a bit of a Broad thread. (laugh. clap, applause)
  18. oh you little ribber! thank you so much!! i'll be rocking that tonite much love. x
  19. so a couple of month ago i got in my car after leaving co-op, accelerated hard, and i saw my airbag light blink. its done it ever since. at the time i had a few tools under the drivers seat. i assumed i had pulled out a plug. nope. checking all the connections and wires, everything seems fine. finally got around to putting in my OBD!! reader, and scanned for faults - 0 not a single fault. now i also have suspicions of a misfire when the car is cold - nay, it IS misfiring when cold. so there should be a few logs in there. the software is upto date as far as i know. anyway - the airbag light is a cert - should this show up in a obd scan? if not, how to a pinpoint which airbag is at fault? thanks
  20. hi guys. Had a little thought the other day. and someone must sell it, or have used it.. those little OBII bluetooth readers you get, that you get a little App for on your phone and it tells you enourmous information. well, surely its possible to get a perminant screen built into your dashboard to link with it? to give information your dials dont give, like oil temp, accurate collant temps, afr ratios, live/dynamic MPG. etc. i have bluetooth on my headunit, but it doesnt reconise / cant find the OBD device. if it did, it wouldnt know how ot display the output anyway. so, im thinking of sticking a screen into the empty Satnav compartment. anyone else seen what im lookin for, or had experience with one?
  21. yes. plenty here: www.google.com under the 'Search' field. such a blanket question mate. what application? what compression? what build? what head mating? list goes on.
