Bit of a rant really. i want to be trawling through the Engine and Tuning section and getting ready for more power and next years shows. unfortunately, not. i cant find (or risk!) the motivation just moved into out first house (after renting for a few years) and managed to just about escape not selling the car and postponed it long enough to save some deposit. brilliant. but i think the missus had it in her head that the car would have to go for me to get a deposit, so now that idea is stuck there. Shes quite merrily trumping around in the couple-of-year-old TT, but thats ok because its diesel (if only forums could have an annotation for ''that was major sarcasm!''). so apparently i now need to get a car that is cheaper to run and more practical. its a big hint at a room for a baby seat lets be honest. ive spent alot of time looking at long term storage, but that its not financially practical for the storage or for the fact i would like to use it a few times a year, the second insurance would be a killer, for example. as you can probably tell i didnt get a garage with the house! has anyone gone a conversion on a Z yet to make it a 4-seater? surely that rear strut can be replaced. so yea. not enjoying driving the Z at the moment, mainly because i feel its a relationship thats about to expire. which doesnt really help me justify in my on head why i should keep it.

so today after rolling out of bed and into the car at 7am ready for a long drive to work, it was pretty cold. just above freezing. found out that my boot gas struts are getting old and dont work at all in the cold. how did i find that out? just ask the blood running down my forehead. or ask the neighbours what loud expletive woke them up this morning. grrr. dropped like a stone, with my head already on its way out of the boot. first time its failed so wasnt expected.

Looks like time and money has been spent on the engine and outside. but did they run out of money with the interior? looks like a peice from here one week, peice from elsewhere another week etc on that interior.

Question (if i may), I have a photo that i have taken, but i have since used photoshop to change it to a black and white overlay. where does that stand in terms of submission? thanks

spotted you today going down Bluebell Hill, Medway. i was staring from the passenger seat of an Audi. never seen one before. took me a while to realise what this thing in front of me with a Nissan badge was. Looked good in black. HS03 XXX

i personally love the Amuse kit - except for the rear bumper. i think if i wanted a shelf, i would rather put it up in the kitchen than the back of my car but, you will of course have exclusivity, i doubt anyone else (or few few!) UK owners have it.

you wont find a do-luck in the UK any more buddy. myself and Humpy had 2 recently, pig to fit even for a body shop. Humpy got his on with alot of extra cost. mine was in woorse state that his as mine got binned. bodyshop couldnt make it fit without removing the crash barrier! so instead i have the ING, which is a very similar design. i have a build thread somewhere.... ''3 month sprint build'' in that section. plenty of piccies.

someone please report to the Admin Staff that Ekona's account has been hacked. There was no mention of a drivers course or changing to a better quality tyre. i havent uprated my suspension myself yet on the Z, but for that solid budget get a matched spring+shock setup /or coilovers as mentioned above. last time i ran aftermarket springs on stock shocks i found the ride awful as they didnt mate up very well.

I assumed it was Abbey, Horsham and TDI. i hope you have your dibber pen, because you have acheived BINGO

ah i didnt know of RS. it wasnt one of the ones i was thinking about yea they will probably have a reocrd... but thats assuming if an uprev was done that it was them that did it. better off popping in probably (phone ahead) and get cabled up

how do i know? easy, i checked the GPS location from your Samsung S4. im nosey like that....

if you have it, there will be a licence for it on the ECU, so an Uprev dealer will be able to tell you (probably free of charge?) by plugging in a cable to check. I can only name 3 dealers, none of which are very close to Grimsby. but, from a visual / indicator from your driveway, i dont beleive there is a way to tell.
