Ok so.... as per original post. I am driving the Orange Z, called it the pumpkin. what better way of expressing myself than with a sticker or decal. great idea i thought. then i thought, hmmm, now wouldnt it be awesome if i could actually make it look like a lit pumpkin. but that would require LEDs right. so i hunted the net, grabbed myself an image from a carved pumpkin and sent it off to a US company to make my LED-lit decal!! woooo. yeaaaa. alrights. awesome (American bigups for what is about to be a complete let down......) . . . . .

I do. no idea if they fit the Zed. they came out of a previous project. they are fiberglassed track-day seats. with removable padding. you wont want these for a work commuter. I'm currently using them for my Gran Turismo nights (Playstation). if i recall they are about 4kg each. no rails or frames. just the seats. if they sound any good for you i can get some measurements at the weekend ? you didnt ansswer my question.... tonight, go for a drive at 30, 40, 50mph and see if the noise-pause-noise increases. Then dip the clutch, coast in neutral and see if it still makes the noise while traveling at speed. does it then get any louder, while traveling at speed, if you turn the wheel left or right?

does it change with driving speed or engine speed?

This ^^^ i always speed, but its on private roads, or closed roads. i mean, after all i pay road tax, so im a Private Investor, right? And if i can see a red light ahead, its then a Closed Road. Does anyone remember watching or watching their kids watch that show ''Get Your Own Back'' ? this thread seems to be a very bizzare twist....

Neil, you are removing your design?! When i come across your car (oh wait... thats not right!) in one of the Wales threads is what made me first go 'wow'. i think yours is the best looking Z i've seen to date. Steve - appologises if i mis-labelled that wing as a universal. to the untrained eye (mine) it just looks like one. The spoiler makes the end product though, right? 2-years isnt long enough if you havent found the right one.

My last 3 tuning projects have had the engines out with cam, headwork etc done to them. spent too much really, and then the mechanical and reliablilty issues begin... my excuse to the missus for buying the Z was that it is already fast. (so, my trip to Abbey next week is purely for, erm, a service... ahem ) This Z 'project' is going to be more cosmetic for me. Agreed with the 'same looking' Z's. dont get me wrong i love what pretty much everyone has done, but in the Wales meet for example, the biggest difference between most of them is the colour. and no, no BGW on mine. i was going to be sensible with a Nismo or similar. not a giant universal one that is used in the picture.

well im glad i've not been completely ridiculed for the idea I also have a Subaru rally replica nr me. actually used to work with the guy so saw it alot, hence why in my head this sounds like a great idea. I do agree with the above, the sponsers would be swapped around, i.e nismo, bremo, pioneer, for example. things that are actually fitted. Bodykit first though! cant do this with its OEM attire. Ah yes i got you with the NOS example. i agree with that. its ok, it wasnt going to be plastered with stickers everywhere. i wanted it cleaner, like NeilP's 'Motul' kind of a thing. that being said, i am sure i can buy a set of Hankooks

AliveBoy, as said in opening post i am not a pro driver at all. any sponsors that i add to the car is for 'decoration' only. if there is any sort of copyright issue or something that you are about to laugh at me about, then please be kind about it. this isnt something ive done before.

evening. this has been on ebay for some time. i phoned up 4 weeks ago when looking for mine and it was sold. surprised its still on ebay. anyway.... can someone please identify this rear bumper. at first glance i thought it was Chargespeed, but then noticed its got different slits, and a different under-diffuser. i looked at the 'definitive list' of body kits from the US site, but couldnt spot it there either. in answer to question - yes i have a UK model and getting 35mpg on motoway. in and around town its the normal 22-24. even when i am out at night blasting the Pumkin around i am yet to see it under 20mpg on the computer. it very quickly averages out. that 35mpg run i did up country, i didnt go under 80 while on the motoway, but the trip computer registered 35mpg for average speed of 67mph IIRC. obviously that included junctions, trafic, and etc.

got 35mpg on a motoway run, didnt go under 80 really. i have had my Z for 3 weeks, put on 2,000 miles on the clock already. the ''who cares'' certainly applies, im just driving around aimlessly learning her ways and smiling all the time.

If this was me on the receiving end of this; agreed i would be doing a U-turn back up there, regardless if it would mean me getting back at early hours of the morning. But, if i was the seller, and I had actually just sold you what i thought was a good car in good faith and you come knocking on my door at stupid o'clock asking for a refund, my response would be ''well it was fine when you drove it, you obviously broke it driving away'' and i would quite firmly tell you to pss off even if you brought your village with you. theres always two sides. make sure you have the right one. That aside, i am genuinely sorry for you. I would also be livid right now. Yea, I cant help but stare at the design every day. Have spoke to RT-P for a quote for the bodykit and wrap. Obviously the final sponsors will probably be thinned out a little to make it a little more 'clean'. God I hope the missus approves. Otherwise i'll be sleeping in it.

hi. well without wanting to give away prices and etc too much as thats between me and trader, But Abbey M/S as supplying me with their 'Performance package' (details of which can be found on here somewhere.... probably their Trader section) which includes '06 airbox, plenum spacer, HFCs, plus Y pipe and remap. i am also getting my P3 done at the same time, so for me its well beyond 4 figures. reading your sig, looks like your just missing the remap and hfcs. ? i am doing a 3-way dyno. so yea, i'll upload the results. Maybe the same one twice... had one catch up with me by Luton Rec / Lordswood just after i left footy. we exchanged waves and flashes. about 3 weeks ago. i think i saw the same one again today. nearly caught him/her, going down bluebell hill at 3pm, taking the turning off for Eccles / Ayeslford. GJ59 xxx reg of the second spotting. who is it? same chap?
