i had thought that, about turning up looking like they are paying me too much. maybe i could say i'm babby sitting it for a friend who is currently in Columbia for his monthly visit? but it is a valid point Dan. I do like TVRs, but i dont think its something i would buy. Plus for the sort of money i could part with it to a car that so old. i'd want some sort of warranty. i think something over 10 years id be lucky to get a months warranty at some places.

yea there are a few getting close to 40k. but i'll be at the bottom of the market there. this however gets me so horny its unreal! http://www2.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201509126843412?model=exige&make=lotus&postcode=ME2%203NJ&radius=1501&page=1&onesearchad=used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew&maximum-badge-engine-size=4.0&sort=default&searchcontext=default&minimum-badge-engine-size=2.2&search-target=usedcars&logcode=p its Orange, just look at it !!

The only thing is that i drive often for work to customer offices for conferences. A Jag would get attention but i think it would still be there in the morning. the Exige i think i would panic over that it would be gone if left in the wrong carpark. or am i being naive?

Hey guys. just a hypothetically ... me and the missus are all settled into a new house now, and we are agreed that its several years yet until we are both ready for kids. so we have been toying with the idea of swapping in both of our cars (Z and TT) and getting something a little bit awesome. ive got some money stashed away and was quite keen to inject the Z with some more horses. but the idea has me thinking, what else is out there? with the sale of both cars and some savings we would be looking at around the 40k mark. a figure i wouldnt dream of spending on a car, but as its 'halves' its easier to swallow. so ive done a little shopping around. 2 seats is fine. i want something that has speed, cornering ability, and the sort of car kids point at and go 'look at that cat Daddy!'' (not in the slightest vain ) so, initially had considered a couple of year old GTR, natrually. But they dont do alot for me in terms of attractiveness. The Lotus Exige, 3.5 V6 had me drooling! around the 3 second mark to 60! :0 wow. but what really has me turned on Jag F-type, again a couple of years old for the money. But its pretty slow (4.8 secs) in comparision in the price range. what would you guys go for? oh, and it HAS to come in Orange! Me and the missus are both sold onthe oprange F-type, plenty fast enough, but when i compare it to the GTR or Lotus its far off the pace which upsets me.

I had one recently from a general parking attendant thingy watsit. there was something in the lineage on the tiket which meant i could phone up and say ''yea im not paying this'' which i did, which came from advice from a friend. for the life of me i cant remember what it was, but it was on the lines of ''Penalty Fare' vs 'Penalty Notice', one is enforeced by council / police and you must pay. the other is enforced by a private company and so becomes a dispute. with mine i phoned them up the day i got a sticky yellow tab on my windscreen and asked for evidence. they provided it 3 days later. at which point i had received said advice, so i phoned up and said im not payng. ''because i dont want to'', they gave some threats on the phoe, but that was that. -
not one that fits a Leon, sorry

ive spent my entire career self training. part due to acheiving nothing from school, and secondly from being self-employyed. i counted up recently and ive spent more on training! than i did on my house deposit. ive found thats its invaluable, but some types of training arnt really useful. if i was to go for a career change and i had just £500, i would probably spend it on a one-way plane ticket to somewhere hot, sunny, with a nice beach, and i'd find a hotel to work at. Paradise

You would b e surprised. in our industry, many malware creators seek and exploit vulnerabilities not to actually use them in anger, but to 'sell' them to the vendors themselves. ''Hey Ford, through a vulnerability in your handsfree authentication I am able to take control of the car and steer it in any direction'' What do Ford want to do about that? say OK, or pay the man for his time and to disclose to them privately the flaw so they can patch it before it goes public and is found by someone else. malware exploits, and the ''Grey Hat Hackers'' is a big earner. self employeed, working from home. They need to get paid somehow. By selling their finds they at least stay on the right side of prison.

true, but if you can control central locking, driving direction, speed and braking ability from your sofa..... its an instant Suicide Bomber. Or, have you caught the wife cheating? The car has now taken her hostage and you are driving her off the end of that bridge while she thinks shes driving home! edit - poor english lol.

There have been some high profile demonstrations in the last couple of years of Car Hacking. by accessing the diagnostic port you can manipulate all sorts of car features. Just think of your ECU tuning for example, turning off warning lights and changing fueling. Theres alot more you can do - Park Assist? Yes, lets turn the car in any direction we want by using the Steering mechanisms, Cruise, and onboard cameras You think Driverless Cars are safe? Nope. already hacked and made to crash with a simple Raspberry Pi. This little blog post by someone with an awesome name got posted today, worth a read. Are the wheels going to come off the connected car? You auto know.

i'm not sure you appreciate the magnitude of that task. Doing a full dash swap on a like-for-like is a ball ache as it is. Now add the re-wiring that would be required, new clip points and fixings etc. and that would be assuming its geometry is pretty identical. you're best bet to answer this question (assuming noone else has done it) is to get down the breakers and put them back to back on the ground to size up.

Dislike. i feel a vote coming on.... followed by Mark publishing a price.

I see no mention of the dyno testing done in the US with the upper plenum removed during a dyno run, and the clear gains had when a bloke took it off. they found 25bhp! Next for research, have a look at dyno results of the same car when they added a 90mm TB with a custom inlet manifold by Carbotron. and as per Mark's graph, look at that vacuum! there is power to be made in the inlet track. you just need to decide where you want to start looking for it.

I use Trading212, i only deal on Forex i no longer do commodities or company shares as both of these i didnt get along with. Yes Forx is very volitile, but there is a pattern, there is always a pattern. The peaks and troughs during the trading day isnt down to the wind its down to the physchological interpretation of these trends by other investors. (the big players, ie banks). if you are using similar trend indicators as they are you too will spot these trends and can catch a ride on their waves. ive been doing alot of share dealing for years as a 'hobby', made lots of money, lost lots of money. but i am having some good success recently in the Forex. Checkout the ''owners club'' of traders, ForexPeaceArmy. the content on there is brilliant. Written by traders not by Platform sellers. After all this, there is only one peice of advice i would give anyone, ever: 1 - Use a Demo account for a LONG time before you deal with real money. Good Luck.
