posted in the Service Section... cant really see a better place for it? I've just had a bit of an issue with my gearbox, i am hoping its my error. Driving down the motoway about 70, i've shifted from 5th into 6th, and 6th crunched. not the usual stiffness, i mean actually crunched. as if my clutch wasnt pushed all the way. It did the same this morning from 1st into 2nd. at about 2,000 rpm. the 'interesting' thing is that about 10min before the crunch on yesterdays motoway i said out loud to the missus ''thats strange, my gearstick feels funny'', the weight shift in my hand felt different. < how technical does that sound! lol Clutch was replaced about 7,000 miles ago.

Hi guys, No picture, sorry (read on as to why...). I am getting my whole sound system swapped out on Thursday 18th. The following is coming out of the car: Bose Headunit Bose Front tweeters Bose Front speakers Bose Rear speakers Bose Amp Bose Sub this is ALL the OEM GT pack uprated stuff. so its not aftermarket. (I am assuming its all bose branded from factory?) Its being swapped for 2 reasons, 1 - it has both of the common faults of this headunit; CD changer skipping when cold. and losing front left speaker on some bumps. 2 - one of the rear speakers *sounds* like it has a rip, its popping at high volumes. I am hoping the Mods will keep this post up due to the following: Essentially I am going to tell the guys installing to throw it all away. It wont be going back in my car, ever. If it is of any interest to anyone you can have the lot to collect for free from Kent. or delivered for £25 (to cover packaging and effort). I have no room in my garage for more dust collectors, so if no-one claims it before thursday morning its going to the scrapyard. This post is as honest as it can be as I'm yet to take out the equipment. but, its free anyway. drop me a PM. Pritchard

its one of the few things i'l be doing myself... and thats my day off work -
‘’Why are you looking at those awful Chrysler Crossfires?! If you want a bloody V6 then get a 350z’’ – My Missus, October 2014 The life of my 350z begun with this one comment. Thank-You sweetheart, by filling a hole in my heart with the lining of my pocket! On the 31st of October, on one fateful Halloween, an ex-modifier was given new life in Dr Frankenstein fashion. A bolt of lightning, a deal was struck, and a roaring engine was sighted through the hamlets from Swindon to Kent. They called it, The Pumpkin. ‘’Don’t you go playing with another car! You know what happens to them all’’ – Dad, Repeated repeatedly between 2006 and 2014. And the below explains why my dear parents decided many years ago that they were better off with a dog. And so it begins. _________________ Page 8, Post #154 has the Final Pictures and summary of this build. enjoy the read. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/93252-the-pumpkin-3-month-sprint-build-sprint-complete/page__st__140#entry1431179 _________________ ___________________________________________________ 2004, 350z GT in Sunset Orange. 34,500 miles on day 1. Summary table: Engine Mods - 2006 Airbox - 5/16 plenum spacer - Cobra HFCs - Toyo Y-pipe - Cobra Non-resonated catback - Lightweight singlemass flywheel - UpRev ECU tune - Current Power: 272hp@hubs, 307hp@fly Visual Mods - Colour coded rear strut cover - Carbon Fiber B-pillars - Dark Tint all rear 3 windows. - LED side lights (Not DLRs) - Ice-blue LED interior lights - 20mm/25mm spacers fitted ICE - Full soundsystem upgrade. All Pioneer headunit, 6x speakers, amp, sub. - Custom Headunit 'Z' background, thanks to Veeg33 What is scheduled / booked in / Waiting to be fitted - Dipping and spraying of ‘major’ engine parts (31/12/14) - Corestrut to be fitted (31/12/14) - Slam panel to be fitted (31/12/14) - Fitment of Do-Luck bodykit. (5/1/15) - Fitment of Vertex replica spoiler. (5/1/15) - 4" stubby aerial (Thanks Pasco) What is on the horizon (briefly) - Suspension upgrade - options are endless. - New wheels - Discuss plans for full vinyl wrap with (non-sponsoring) liveries The aim of this project: To steer away from the engine (which is my modding background) and to this time go for a medium-weight showcar. not a magazine cover car, but a car that can turn up to shows and turn heads. To this end, I did all of the quick and easy engine mods first to get them out of the way. ____________ First round of pictures. Nothing too fancy just yet. 3 weeks to go! So here she is, day1. the very first mod that I had to do was this.... Sunshine !! Car was very quickly booked into a day @ Abbey MS, where the semi-modded 246hp@hubs got full ''stage2'' NA tune and up to a very healthy and impressive 272hp@hubs. works out to around 307bhp. Which is HR territory, Being dubbed The Pumpkin, I wanted a little something tha made it so. What do people do with pumpkins? well 'eat' isnt the answer. Instead we put candles inside, so I came up with this idea. And of course i just had to have this when i saw it on ebay it sits on my desk and work and i pat it everyday And final one for today, this: This is are the items on their way to get hydrodipped in Green Flames, and sprayed in Orange. WOOP New sound system fitted. literally just got it back .Love it. Off to essex tonight to will get chance to give it a good thumping. Many MANY thanks to Veeg33, for designing my new headunit background and Spacers fitted. (and a proper clean applied) looks so much better. Only a temporary measure until i get some 'proper' wheels come summer. These will soon be wrapped in winter rubber before the snow hits. BODYSHOP TEASERS !! DIPPING FINAL TEASE.... before delivery and fitment, And the finished articles ________ More bodyshop teasers, from Page 5. :snack:

I have seen your bay before I think it was on moped's trader section bit. Do you have a piccie? i may need refamiliarisation
-
Wow that was quick! Let me know when mine arrives I do applogise in advance for my wrapping ability... crude doesnt come close to describing it. lol. 14n, Satin black sounds good. I agree with your reasoning. its going to have to be black green or orange in reality, as these 3 colours are present. introducing a 4th colour (inc chrome) i think will just look awful. as it stand, it currently will be the 4th colour of course. hence why it will need attention

AT LAST !! I have found a member! where did i put that bottle of bubbly... -
that hasnt been forgotten. at the moment its my biggest peeve. I really dont know. its a huge peice, so going green flame or orange will i think overpower one or the other massively. giving it a chrome polish isnt what i want to do with it either. Its part of 'phase2'. lets see how it looks after this little collection, then tackle the rest.

Your not the only one GMB.

dropped him a PM. at last... I have found a member !! lol. -
Yep. it was a tough choice deciding what to partner with my Orange - it was between green, purple, or lilac.

Yea getting the whole bay done would be great. but i thought i would start with the big bits of the puzzle first. see how it looks. then go from there.

I think i really need to start a build thread about now with everything going on.... anyway, Gathered enough materials now to send off for some spraying and hydrodipping to be done. Going for some Orange spraying (to match car colour) with some Green Flames to contrast. The work is being done by resident traders rEvolve Auto Ltd. Parts being sent: this is how it will be colour coded: the items to be dipped - Engine Cover - triangle corner sections (black plastic by bonnet hinges) - air intake pipe (not box) - base of strut bar the items to be sprayed in Orange A17 paint code - Main strut bar - 'core' strut bar - battery and bake fluid covers - 'Z' badge (i have one spare that im sending up, from the front wing). - Slam Panel And this is the 'Skull Green Flames' that was recently demo'ed by rEvolve: and then of course, some green hoses and cable tidies to loose some of the dull black. Looking forward to this Pritchard

So during last nights drive I saw this parked outside Casino Rooms Rochester.... there was a space behind you, so I took time out from my random drive to get this super high quality photo. Looked very nice! black wheels, recently cleaned (realised how much muk was on mine, thanks) and with private plate. i havent masked the number plate... no need, my phone camera is so shocking in low light. so come on, who is this?

Great thread. So you weighed in at about 1460kg, thats still amazing heavy. i thought it was about that unladen, I thought it would be nearer 1300 than 1500 now that the big stuff is gone - the heated leather seats, speakers, spare wheel, trim, plastic etc. shifting that weight distribution to 60/40 too must show how much you've lost. Must be some hefty lumps of metal hiding in these chasis' Car looks great. Keep updating. subscribed Pritchard

I dont doubt that. But nonetheless i jumped with glee when i re-invented the wheel for myself.
-
thats probably the same one. i only got a short look under streetlamp light as speed. i could be wrong. but it did look really nice!
-
All, just missing one part now. I just need the filler cap for the Engine Coolant (the smallest of the 3 on the left of the bay: other 2 being washer cap, and power steering cap) Really need this now so i can get my dipping done. thanks in advance.

Spotted a 370z last night, 64 plate. I say its modified, i've yet to actually see one in the flesh so this was my first. I followed you / him up the dual carridgeway beyond Medway Tunnel. In the streetlamp light it looked like a really deep dark red, with some pretty shiny chrome-like wheels. also looked like a possible rear bumper lip, but im not sure. may be a standard feature. Looked awesome.

Exhibit A is my preference.
