I must admit im curious... does this figure include 2 missing planes and passengers? -
this ^^^ People often think the Octane rating is the same. The Yanks cant even spell colour properly, why on earth would they use the same octane rating as the rest of us GMB: Quote of the week! loved this: ''If the Vortech made my car sound like a Prius f**king a diesel BMW I'd still do it just for the performance benefits.'' I've been watching this thread as I too am sniffing around the s/chargers. There seems to be alot of HP figures bounded around as to what is and isnt safe. of course there isnt one, 276bhp OEM is still more than capable of engine failure. but what is interesting is the difference of opinions of what the 'Safe Zone' is based on the stock internals. If a tuner/driver is going to spend this sort of money on their car then obviously you want to get as much power squeezed out as possible, at acceptable risk levels. Hearing about OllyBs engine going so soon after the work is gutting for him and a warning to the rest. I may have missed it though Olly - what engine did you have? I saw mention of HR, was this yours? If I could get a solid 450bhp I would be over the moon. thats a very pub-worthy figure to me (to which we will all have our own targets) But no-one wants to gloat one week, then mourn the death of the engine the following week. Reliability aside and now thinking about practicality... i twitch the back end quite violently every time i launch with commitment at 300bhp. To add upwards of 100bhp is going to require some serious rubber to 1, be usable and 2, to instil confidence in the driver - what are the current Vortech guys using? Pritchard

Oh I heard about these. Werent they a special run from the factory? some people called it the MR3 cor must be worth a small fortune now. Which Tyre R engine did it have?

Nothing better than a Sunday following Xmas right? so quiet

After a few glasses of wine last night I got a taxi home and left my car at a restaurant. Got dropped off this morning bright and early to pick her up. after grabbing a coffee and fuel i thought i would make the most of the 8am sunday roads. heres a few pics that i got from the morning sun. car is filthy, and its just a phone camera so they do look dull im afraid. but was a very nice drive - Amazing what can be acheived when there are no muppets causing queues. - first stop - Cathedral, not a Castle. but close enough - number 3 - number 4, now i did drive to this castle, but i couldnt get around the side of it for a photo, so i got one of the gates (proof is on the plaque ) - something a little more recent, WW2 fort. - and finally, a panoramic view with the embers of morning sun. I really need to invest in a proper camera for times like these. Samsung Mobile just doesnt do it justice. Pritchard

Thees something about a white Z that makes me smile. looks awesome. Brownie points for even attempting, kudos for finishing, and a beer for making it look bloody good! Pritchard

Dont worry Jonny, Stevo is just taking the wizz. he does that it probably does come up every 5 minutes, but that doesnt make it any less awesome for those who havent seen it before.
-
its new to me. i love the marvel films and havent seen this. what an awesome spot! well done
-
for a minute then i thought i recognised this number plate from a 'popular' spotted thread. but its a different Z. let the slippery slope begin indeed. good luck
-
Yes its certainly a problem between the ears. They -will- fit tomorrow. rain permitting.

It was indeed. Hyundai Coupe, Gen1. rotors only became an issue for spacer and aftermarket wheels of course.
-

so i've lost my xmas day to a lovely cold and lack of sleep due to it. boxing day i awoke on the sofa at 12noon after falling asleep (at last) at about 10pm watching a film. no alcohol involved, the cold is that bad! anyway. thought i would go and tackle my spacer fitment. started with the rears. yep. lovely. fine. then went to the front, and couldnt get them on. looks like theres a Captive Rotor fitted !! so i've wrapped up for the day. swearing, even colder, and sore. come in to use Mighty Search and found this: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/75841-fitting-25mm-spacers-idiots-guide/page__fromsearch__1 Really annoyed now. got to have another go tomorrow and get that front Captive off.  I havnet, until now, seen anyone else mention this needing to be removed for spacer fitment. if i had of know i could be all done by now. grrr. Humbug

updated the original post with a few minor bits and bobs. I shouldnt, i really shouldnt, but having seen the trader Torqen pop up I have requested a quote for a Supercharger.... Its just, i dont think I could say no to 500bhp ! but theres other bits to complete first to get her ready for my first ever car show. -
i am afraid I cant turn it up and forget about it. the rattle literally outplays the speakers. its that bad. at very, very low sub gain (i.e, its set to like -20db on the headunit) its so low that i cannot feel the bass at all while driving. but my speakers are blarring out loud tunes. and yet all i can hear is rattle rattle rattle from the sub enclosure area. i'll try and get a video of it later, not sure how well a mic will pick up the noises but ill try and upload.
