Hi chaps. someone please remind me... the tailpipes on a Cobra are swapable right. if i go under the car i'll find the tails clamped on? so, i can just bolt on something different? i seem to recall they were swappable. maybe m confusing it with different permant tips from the factory? So to finish up the project - time to fit the engine bay goodies. Getting everything off - nice and easy. getting things to fit however... so i started with this. i then gave it the Full Montey, and this is how it ended up (Silver strut now re-fitted) Unfortunately i had isues with 3 parts that i had to fit. and once again with the sun setting and shops shut i found myself having to quickly tie loose ends. This is how it SHOULD have ended up looking. **yes i know the strut is back to front. its just there for a picture** Unfortunately the strut i had dipped has been adjusted to a different length than mine. and i only have 1 adjustable s[anner that would fit. interestingly the strut also had different designed holes - must have been a revision in the models ? (one has round holes, the other has oval shaped holes). Also i couldnt get the core strut. one leg just didnt line up. but, as i couldnt get the strut on either this is probably why. but when offering it up it looked off by a few mm. And the slam panel - the clips wouldnt come out. so i want to buy some replacements as i think i will end up snapping a few. but it lines up fine Will be sorted by next weekend no doubt. just little ends to tie off. ____ Well, thats the project complete. 3 months, 1 week. I'll properly close this off in a summary post during the week. but, we are ready for the Club Stands and Shows

In a couple of pictures the shade falls in such a way that the door is n the sun and the rest isnt. which makes it look pronounced. now that youve kindly pointed it out and im looking for it, i can see a slight mismatch in the other photos. Thanks You will all get a chance to critique to your hearts content at the Wales meet. until then enjoy the pictures, because it looks bloody awesome to me. lol. Been driving today, and amount of looks im getting is obsurd. from kids pointing-out-loud to other drivers turning their whole deads when they drive past lol. Its like driving a Pink Fiat 500 again (im not posting those pictures up!)

It will be slightly different. the doors didnt get a re-spray, along with the roof. pretty much everything else did though. line has to be drawn everywhere. but you have to be looking for it to see the difference. even with the eyes. I know you like a Ginger. Correct. spacers and wheels will be up for sale soon, for any vultures reading. Offset was just right. I agree. but, it had to go somewhere. im sure its not worth a tug on its own, unless i do something else to pss off a copper im sure he will turn a blind eye. but it does need to be moved yes. Home from an evening out. tomorrow morning im doing a Sunday Drive to some cool photo spots. will upload everything into the Media section. a quick shot as i left RT-P, Now i measure my ground clearance on the oem setup before t went in... i have lost an inch. that front bumper is low. i can just make it off the drive. phew however, this caused me issues getting a jack under for the wheel swap. had to buy some chocks and a couple of bricks. look how close that is. when its on bricks! Daylight was leaving me. i got one side done in the embers of daylight. the other side was finished in pitch black. i quickly got this snap in. notice its still on bricks, hence the high line. terrible pic. Super-awesome-proper pics tomorrow so nice to have her back.

phew. wheels are on. literally just walked in, at 6pm! the jack didnt fit under the car, and i cleared out my garage before xmas. so all my loose bricks and wood offcuts that i couldve elevated onto are gone. had to hit the highstreet. now zooming off with the missus. pictures will be tomorrow. . . . and also the End Of Sprint Project summary

Whoa. this escalated quickly. I mentioned it to vent a little rather than rant... There has been more work involved that what was in the scope of the original estimate. So yea i knew it was going to be more. Its just that i didnt get the actual figure until, well an hour ago, with collection tomorrow. As I said to RT, the final bill is the final bill. thats not a problem, thats why theyve got it Its Just getting the invoice this late in the day with such a huge jump was unexpected, and now means hurriedly moving cash between accounts. They havent carried out any work that i havent asked them to, or bent me over with different £/hr rates. So theres no issue there. I just wasnt privvy to the rolling figure.

Pick up the car tomorrow. Just got the invoice, its only double the original estimate. Thank God i didnt shell out for the Vossens. lol.

I was just going to swap it with a 'Z' cap or similar. or maybe something personalised. its just the 'Bola' badge looks awful. they couldve done something more aesthetic. well, you can see it! reminds me of that brand from halfords. Ripspeed wasnt it? that has bg letters and a logo design by a toddler.
