  1. Got my car back today after it being out of action for a couple of days due to my blasted wheels being stuck on the car. Its now back and better than ever. I would like to thank and give credit to the following people for excellent customers service and quality of work: Ewen from Clark Motorsport, for providing my discs, pads, arb bushes and drop links. All parts where direct fit and spot on, very pleased with the difference its made. Arron & Simon at MJS Ipswich, for completing all of the servicing work, including fitting parts mentioned above and for getting those dam wheels off without damaging them. great to have a great tuning garage right here on my doorstep. James from Amber Performance for getting my Mishimoto lug nuts to me at the last minute on next day delivery. Good customer service is hard to find, so well pleased.
  2. Thanks everyone, wow these wheel set ups are so confusing. I'm used to my old Subaru lol. Anyway good news they've managed to get the wheel of with no major damage by inserting some welding wire into the socket which gave enough grip to get em off.
  3. Thanks, yes I'm thinking 9.0" front and 9.5" for rear because that differential keeps in line with original 8.0" front & 8.5" rear and as you say leaves me room to change Tyre set up in future.
  4. Thanks thats really helpful , are there any good reliable websites selling these wheels, I will do a Google search as well.
  5. Basically cars stranded at the garage at the moment, I bought the car last year when new tyres had already been fitted, whoever fitted tyres and refitted the wheels used short stubby wheel nuts which have been forced deep into the rim and have buried themselves into the alloy itself. They have tried everything to get them out but some still remain as there is no purchase on the nuts which are all rounded off. Proper aftermarket bolts should have been fitted so looks like they may have to be drilled/cut out. The garage will try to save the alloys which I can then refurbish but it may come down to putting on new ones. At least they will be black then Oh wow! Not good news at all! I wouldn't like to tell you what WILL fit because I'm not familiar with the G's, but on a 350 the perfect set-up is regarded as 9.5x19 front and 10.5x19 rear both with an offset of +20 Thanks, the current front are 9.5 as are the rears so increasing to 10.5 on the rear sounds doable, fingers crossed they can save them, but rather than sit around, thought I would start to research replacing them to the staggered set up.
  6. Thanks ive been off doing some research and you are correct on the wheel sizes. I added above why I may have to change. I'm happy with the oem tyre size and wouldn't want to go up much more than one tyre width in the future (maybe 255/40r & 235/40f). I will be looking for black wheels with not to many spokes, I'm now starting to look at brands and designs. I may lower in the future but not aggressively, I wont be going the coil over route.

  8. Hi All Its possible I am going to need to buy some new wheels for the V35 Skyline, although same set up pretty much as a Z. My current wheels are both 9.5J on Front & Rear, running staggered tyres 245/40/19 rear, 225/40/19 front. I am planning to use same tyres as they are almost new. For the V35 the original Coupe Base came with either 17" wheels or 18" in 2005 they upgraded to 19" wheels I believe the set up was also staggered with 8.5J front & 9.5j rear. As you can see this is all getting a bit messy, so I wondered if anyone could tell me which wheels I could buy that are designed for the Z and will basically be plug in and play scenario. Thanks
  9. Thank you, glad to be here and looking through the forum theres tonnes of awesome stuff, its great! You won't be saying that once you've spent all your money. Welcome. Haha tell me about it! I'm already looking going through the parts for sale section and getting ideas! This was a baaaad ideaaa Just make sure you don't read his build thread then or mine for that matter. You'll save more money that way. Welcome aboard. Just had a quick blast through both your build threads and they're insane! Gonna go back through them later and have a properly good read. Something about build threads that I love reading through, seeing peoples different tastes and how that effects the final outcome is awesome. Your carbon bits under your bonnet look great by the way! Thank you, don't know if its the same where you are but I don't see hardly any 350s around here? One thing thats great about them is the exclusivity. Don't know if there is any meets around our area? Would be cool at some point to meet up with fellow 350 owners :-) Thanks man, only took about 20-25 mins a side and considering I'm a complete novice in the sanding/masking/spraying department, I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome haha! Thank you! Hoping to see some of you guys driving around sometime! Only seen one on the road since i've had mine, and we both stuck our thumbs up at each other at the same time haha. Mines a bit different it's the v35 which is the z,s big brother with 4 seats and a boot 😀
  10. I have a Jdm and was going to go the expander route. However after fitting the grounding kit I got from Hdev I found 3 extra radio stations and the static / crackle disappeared 😃
  11. A few years back I did a day at silverstone rally school, loved it http://www.silverstonerally.co.uk
  12. Checked mine today, the torch trick is best
  13. Great news, glad you got it sorted Got to do same again myself next week, fitting a larger battery.
  14. Your welcome This may help as a reference http://www.ehow.com/how_12196478_removing-battery-2003-nissan-350z.html?dmsp=manual Although it doesn't mention the hold button on window up for 3 seconds, this apparently resets the window motor sensors
  15. Welcome Re the windows the idea is that you open both doors when reconnecting the new battery This is so the windows don't go up to far on battery reconnection Once battery reconnected you put windows all the way down, shut the door, put windows back up holding switch for 3 seconds. Then check the windows go up and down to correct hight This is to reset the pinch feature that allows the window to drop slightly on opening and closing of door
  16. bad idea - i would speak with CS first as OEM aren't always best, nor the cheaptest! +1 for being able to get better than oem at a good price My rears are being done on Tuesday, as I didn't want to go to extreme and just wanted a slightly updated disc, I went for slotted dba discs with hawk hps pads
  17. Thanks is that the bosch silver, ive also had exide suggested, they both seem to be the same price how much are the cable clamp converters, do they just bolt on to existing clamps or would I be replacing positive and negative cable? Thanks
  18. Wow thanks for doing that for me, looks nice and snug in there with plenty of power for the in car extras I've added. Looks like I will be upgrading it as soon as I can get all the bits together Thanks again
  19. Will Writer. AkA the grim reaper, that's what my wife calls me 😀
  20. Thats good news, what battery did you get, if you don't mind me asking, at the moment mines a bosch s3 and doesn't appear to totally fill up the battery tray. I'm beginning to think its a battery for a micra LOL
  21. Would be good to have one trader supply all necessary parts, would the larger d1 spec battery bracket work with the larger UK battery?
