I have paid a car audio company to change my head unit and speakers... this morning regarding my sound system change, I did not trust the technicians body language last night as he explained what he had done, it turns out they have charged me to change the speakers and they have not done so as the OEM speakers are still in the car. I cannot wait to rock up tomorrow, how do they think they can get away with this, this is my pride and joy and i cant describe the feeling of anger and stupidity I feel for being reeled in. Yes sorry guys, I collected the car in darkness and the technician explained the speakers he changed and gave me the empty boxes to which the JL speakers that should have been fitted changed and also my old head unit which has also been changed, I have checked all 6 - the sub and they are OEM BOSE not JL. I will go down there tomorrow calm and collectively and explain my concerns. also the rear speakers no longer work and the steering controls for the Audio function no longer works. So after speaking to boss man and showed him my concerns and being polite and diplomatic he not only refunded some money but also sorted out all my concerns. 😃😃

It looks quite bent for something your about to put on a performance car, a ford transit without motorway miles maybe. The outer flange looks bent so if you hit a corner hard and loose tyre compression.... hedge.

Is it just me but since having the cobra exhaust system fitted (resonated) the car sounds better than anything on the road, what I mean is that there is so much depth and character to the note. interestingly especially once piping hot it has that effortless after POP as huge wads of un burnt fuel blasts its way through. incredible!!!!

My last car was a FIAT punto... but it had an active sport badge to support the beastly 1.2 8V. Jumping to the 350z was incredible, I and many other Z owners have a car with an exhaust note to be proud of. (COBRA) raaahhhhhhh!!!!

Also check the cooling fans on both side are running like a turbine to keep that sweet lump cool, slow or stuck cooling fans are becoming a common theme as the test of time is bringing this to light. P.s Nissan want £700 to replace so CHECK

Very good idea I wish I said this as well upon my purchase, although if the car has had a few owners then its hit and miss, another thing to look for is window wipers and the pride of ownership test, if he has owned the car for says a few years but cannot be bothered to change the wipers blades, plus the car has an average service history I would walk away because what else has he scrimped on. Just be suspicious if engine bay looks band new with a once over at a jet wash this does not mean the car is a brand spanker

Guys I have the standard tape player unit in my car and I have tried to play my iphone through the tape deck and its sounds terrible, any suggestions as to how I could get an AUX in or something to play the iphone through it.

I purchased 2 new after market cooling fan motors that all the americans use as the OEM ones fails for $60.00 and only had to pay £16 on duty and shipment.

I just don't trust the origins of allot of dealers cars, I would say take your time and when you buy from a private seller you can get a good feel from the seller if he takes pride in ownership like 99% of the people on this forum.

Wowaweewa the cause might be water droplets collecting at the lowest point. What year is this Z, good heads up though because that has potential to become a big problem.

Excuse me I purchased my car to pull tractor ploughs fast!!! so iv had my Z remapped to run on Diesel is that such a crime. I have now doubled my harvest since purchasing the Z....but yes humbled in that respect Steve

Great cars to own, if you have a little extra cash try and go for a later sub 50,000 car and if your feeling really flash get the HR313 as it has the better engine , pre march 2006 cars cheaper by 1/2 on road tax and going for around 5K with 60,000 on clock and they are good for 150,000 before things go south if not look after. the cars generally go through a few hands as owners can be a bit fickle with changing markets so don't let this put you off. The cars are great to own and generally bullet proof but please look out for dodgy cooling fans not running up to speed as these are not mentioned on most advisory checks pages. Also if I was you try and stay away from the Jap import (FAIRLADY Zs) and get a uk (350z) main reason is insurance can be twice as much and some parts are not easy to come by, also there is no advantage over the Uk spec although a few Z anoraks on the forum may correct me but yes great cars to own however may not feel quite as light on its feet as a integra as the car is more of a all rounder with a huge lump up front and great fun in a straight line if your careful.

Well for anyone who want to know dont use standard 95 as the car is not the same but im sure all you mature Z owners are well aware thanks guys for all.

My Peugeot Partner has give in the tyres, give in the chassis & give in the suspension but the Z on a Saturday is SOLID!!!!!

OK it may just be a mental thing but I drove a full tank of unleaded standard, then wawaweewa!! I put V Power in and I defiantly felt a difference and I remember 5th gear doing a test and saw a 3% power increases on a golf GTI. Anyone have anything to add to this.

Becuase top goes down price goes up, or just have someone take a picture of you in one
