  1. I'm in Leeds. I had a collapsed cat and put them on as a quick fix. They turned out to be louder under load than I wanted - that was with a standard back box and no mid box. So if you want loud without changing the whole system it's one way to go. My exhaust man made me a custom y-pipe and back section and ordered these. I'll ask him where he got them...
  2. P1090191 by Kjwob, on Flickr These are about £80 new. Had them fitted for about 100 miles on my '06 350. The sensor holes are spaced out and no CELs came on in that time. No bolts or gaskets come with these. I've gone back to cats.
  3. ...And received today. Massive thanks Mark. Paid to do a bit of racing next Thursday and really didn't want to cancel.
  4. Sound as a pound. That get's me out of a bit of a hole, thanks PM'd.
  5. bump - Zman out of stock still need one
  6. Aw shiiite - can't resist a quiz. Ok no cheating 1 If one fails, the other will work. So you stop 2 Something to do with balance? Or heat? 3 So you can get home on a night and the cops just see a bike if you position it right 4 Because the damn things misfire so much harder metals would break. 5 Judder. They love it. 6 Lawsuit for a failed cast wheel is a test case - could cost billions. Or eh, pass. 7 Burns 8 Motorways are straight. = more time. Unless you're hemmed in by trucks, might as well be a narrow road. 9 Moving trains around, duh. 10 Button below the wheel..
  7. Flipping heck that's fast- replies before i even get the PM sent
  8. Anybody got one? - mines got some bits crumbling away inside...?
  9. Where do you need better stopping power for the road? Do you find yourself standing on the brakes and the abs doesn't kick in? How and where are you driving? If the answer is mountain roads at 3am flat out downhill then fair enough.... upgrade.
  10. I pretty much perfected (lot of 10pees) Outrun and it's still a great game - a few still survive in the odd seaside town. Do you play the theme tunes for the games on your guitars? I love knocking out Magical Sound Shower on the piano... Some strangely nice stuff in computer games.
  11. So it turns out people who drive flashy 2-seater sports cars like to work out. Who knew? When did admitting to gym work become acceptable? Aren't you meant to train discretely and pretend that you're just naturally in good shape? Christ, you might as well tell everyone what hair dye you use, your medallions aren't gold and your chest hair is a rug...
  12. There's always the problem that one party gets more bitten by the bug than the others and wants to spend more, leading to rows. I'd recommend doing a one shot deal on an old crap car for one track day. It's cheaper than renting a car and you'll get the feel for tracking. Or just go to a trackday somewhere and see what other people are doing. I've had great inspiration from that. The important thing to remember is that driving flat out is fun - but we seldom get to do it. No speed cameras FFS - get some before it's banned. PS Why not use your Z?
  13. Having said though, when you actually study frames in galleries and such up close there's a lot of scruffy stuff out there.
  14. I found it pretty hard. My missus paints. She's been on at me to frame her stuff for years so I had a go with some simple wood. The results were pretty poor - you can see the joins. It didn't help that the canvasses weren't perfectly square. I lost heart when the last lot of wood from B&Q was bent. Will try again though...
  15. Nicely done - congratulations. Might see you about - I'm up in Drighlington.
  16. .. if that's your own original line, lot of kudos. Loved it. Had a 200sx for years - only beardy car nuts understood it. The Z is way more fancied by non-car folk. Fortunately for us it walks the walk too....
  17. Teesside is tight but for £50 it scratches the itch nicely. I'm there tomorrow if the snow doesn't cancel it. I'll try for some spectacular footage. Blyton is fun - lots of run-off if you're not too precious. You can really push. I've had a lot of exits from the track there with no damage done (I don't count cone intrusions...) Car never ran too hot that I can remember. I try not to do more than 5 or 6 laps. And then a massive cool-down for the brakes, never parking up - driving around the pits for 10 mins to get some air past them.... they just boil if you park. And yup, that's an SX on cheap tyres rocking round Anglesey. Nissan RWD - what else ...
  18. If you're still bored you can look at some of mine - get my views up to double figures maybe Snetterton, Teeside and Blyton Park with bad light (for the best maybe - driving a bit close to my mate..) https://www.youtube.com/user/alexdunn100/videos
  19. I didn't realise Costco can order tyres for you? I thought they just had a small range. Good news if they do...
  20. Here's the skinny.. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/3856-2006-model-changes/
  21. Pretty sure that is not 312 - like you say, those have the bulge. Your redline should be at 7000? It makes it the Rev-Up engine with a slightly different grill and reflectors to the earlier cars. Mines the same on a 56 plate.
  22. Good looking car. What's the plate going to change to? "Wrecked" is fairly cool ...
