  1. Bob Marley once worked for Chrysler motor co. He was a forklift driver in the parts warehouse.
  2. I had a set off those on my civic type r felt like jelly horrible I ran Bridgestone RE02 on my CTR, then Pilot sports. Like I've said before the avons have surprised me and I was going to change them straight away, feel solid and excellent grip.
  3. Interesting thread as this will be my next car, I won't be tracking it though and will probably do 5k miles a year.
  4. The Z looks rather nice next to the 458, nice cars both of them.
  5. Maybe things have changed since the economic downturn, lenders may be following more stringent guidelines. The last time I financed a car was in 2001 and all they were interested in was my credit score.
  6. Not much of a guide but I sold my 02 with 120k miles for 2500.That was only last year as I acquired it for 1500 as part payment from someone who bought another car from me. A tidy profit for me and a bargain for the VW enthusiast that took it off my hands.3500 is a reasonable offer for a lower mileage car.
  7. Milltek here, hfc going on next month.
  8. On a personal note I've had in my time 6 very powerful bikes. It was an accident that stopped me in the end and I should have got back in the saddle quicker afterwards.Riding pillion wasn't my thing as I preferred to be in control of the bike. That said you can't beat the pure buzz of biking it's a natural high and makes every journey an event. You will adapt to the riding style pretty quickly and appreciate the centre of gravity around the machine. My other half was great as she would tuck in tight at speed and clamp her legs on me when braking. The laws of physics and common sense will help you to adapt pretty quickly. You will love it, the sense of speed will be like nothing you've ever experienced before and that will be with the other half taking it easier with you on the back. Enjoy
  9. Yes I had a gti six speeder, cracking little cars aside from the driving position which personally I found to high. Go for a later six speed with heated leather. The xenons were brilliant and aside from my BMWs probably some of the best I've used.
  10. We're not married but have a family and have been together 18 years. My missus is an accountant but only works Monday to Thursday, this means she earns less than I do.We have separate accounts and a bills and savings account which we both pay into. Being in accounts you can guess how organised she is, I pay roughly 60% of the bills correlating to the wage differential. This means both of us have a similar amount of disposable income after paying the essentials.Of course she us an excel wizard and we have an extensive spreadsheet of exactly what goes in and out monthly.
  11. Well I'm going for it after getting the plenum done, standard air box is staying though. Currently have a milltek and free flow cat so should be ok.
  12. Well I don't miss the M3 not one jot. I do miss the NSX, my golf gti ' s and the FRP.
  13. I'm not planning to lower the car so maybe 20 front and 25 rear. Netnomad yes I wouldn't mind seeing how it looks. Thanks
  14. Which brings the wheels out flush the 20s or 25s? They look good.
  15. Right, I'm one of these types who can spend an entire day detailing and over the years have collected hundreds of different products. However every now and then I have a budget nirvana moment A couple of days ago I was leather cleaning and revamping the seats when my attention turned to the rubber and plastic exterior trim, rummaging around my detail cases I found some megs trim detailer and got to work cleaning the mirror base plates etc. Having finished that task I turned my attention to the headlights and thought "I wonder". The point of this rather protracted post is to say megs trim detailer does an amazing job on the lights making them look amazing
  16. One of the tasks on my newly acquired zeditis list is improving the stance and widening the track of the car. Any recommendations with regards spacers would be appreciated thanks
  17. My car came with Avon ZZ3s and I've been surprised at how good they are especially in the wet.Ironically I've only used Conti sports or michelin pilots on previous rear drivers. One of my first plans was to change the avons but I'm sticking with them now as they are superb.
  18. Sounds like your being ripped off, seek another opinion from an approved outfit.
  19. That's exactly the same as mine . Have you any plans for her, I've already got a list going for mods. Apparently it's called zeditis lol
  20. He was a nice bloke, that's a shame. Met him and Liza Goddard back in the early 80s at a save the children charity do.
