  1. The JDM spoiler is the same as the concept but body coloured. It was on the first honda press release vid.
  2. I prefer the JDM rear end though.
  3. Could be worse, like a design that hasn't changed for 40 plus years Yes I'm still a member of CTR owners club I've just not logged in for about 9 years
  4. The rear spats and overhang look a bit cack but up as far as the back doors they look pretty good IMO. Lovely inside though.I will reserve ultimate judgement until after the drive though, then if it's any good I will put dibs on the demonstrator as I did last time round. There's no way I'm going to pay full whack on one I've still got plans for the Z so plenty of time there's no rush.
  5. Haha good old hacksaw standard equipment along with the heat gun when it comes to working under a Z.
  6. Well then as a big Honda fan I popped down to the dealers today to ask when my test drive could be scheduled. They only had one in the showroom and no drives scheduled until after the launch event. But I did manage to poke around it quite a bit as the salesman was the same guy who sold me my old EP3 13 years ago. In the flesh it looks awesome aside from the rear overhang that does look a little awkward. The interior fit and finish is top drawer and rivals any premium make. There are various carbon goodies as options if that's your bag both inside and out. The seats are great with plenty of support but getting in and out past the bolster is similar to the Z and requires the same technique The pedal travel seems longer than the FN2 but they are spaced nicely and as expected the gearbox is slick. The rear spoiler follows the top edge of the window and doesn't affect visbility but the same issue as the FN2 is there with regards the central blind spot. The underside of the car is completely flat and shielded, this will add to labour time for repairs if needed and aftermarket tuners will have their work cut out designing exhaust systems of a larger diameter than the standard pipes. The only other thing that annoys is the aftermarket looking spats on the rear flanks. Otherwise I'm sold on this car especially the four door practicality of it. Can't wait to drive it!
  7. Avoid B&Q for anything other than paint or screws.
  8. Hahahaha make the most of your night, it will give you a fond memory to look back on when the drought sets in
  9. They are good lads I can't fault them.
  10. The forums for any car can be alarmist. In general forums are great positive sources for info on the cars owned, the downside is any negative however rare becomes a focal point for paranoia
  11. I had never heard of Amazon prime until reading this
  12. Mine is 12 weeks (three months) notice too. I started with the company 12 years ago and it has risen from 4 weeks originally. However this was a standard clause in my original contract.
  13. Probably location especially now with all the cut backs financially. Policing a high crime area increases the workload to a point where lesser crimes get relegated somewhat.
  14. I'm more worried about the bee population tbh.
  15. Yes the 135 with some mods is a great B road blaster. In fact I would say it's the spiritual successor to the revered E 30 M3 dimensionally.
  16. E92 is a better car than the E46 period. Also the most common cars on the road currently have Audi badges on them
  17. Strangely enough taking the rear seats out of a normal car leads to road noise lol. As stated tyre choice definitely affects this and insulating the boot floor helps quell the roar quite a bit.
  18. My rule of thumb is after four miles of driving the oil should be up to temp. Water temp doesn't take long on the Z.
  19. The zeditus thing is tangible too. Every sodding month I'm buying something else for the car
  20. New oil and Molyslip helped mine too. Still nasty changing into second when cold but I find it goes in better revving past 3k when changing from first.
  21. When is it in showrooms I'm tempted to try it myself big Honda fan It was supposed to be this month, but I'm still waiting for the call lol
  22. The rear set up on the FN2 is inferior to the independant EP3 but this as you say during everyday driving isn't an issue. I have a stretch of road I use to test drive cars on that combines most types of surface. There is a dip on this road that the EP3 would glide over as the nearside wheel would drop independently of the offside but back in 07 when I took an FN2 over the same stretch the whole back end bounced sideways. What the doomsayers fail to appreciate is some of the best hot hatches ever made had torsion set ups. It's certainly no biggy but I just wanted to move with the times so didn't buy the FN2. Still cracking cars though, I have a test drive booked in the new one when it arrives which will be odd having a turbo bolted on.
  23. I bought one to replace what I considered to be an overrated german super saloon. It certainly isn't as boring as an M3 that's just my opinion as journo's love them.
