  1. The first mod I undertook was changing the rears to LED, these were easier to get hold of, I only had to wait 6 months for those The next challenge is front bumper and associated facelift bits needed to put it on. I'm also on the lookout for interior parts such as door cards etc. Slowly but surely I will get there.
  2. Aside from the aesthetic aspect the xenon on high beam is a vast improvement over the older lights. The jury is out for me on the low beam as it's very similar to the old xenon units.
  3. I also bought them from a forum member who was returning his car back to standard for sale. You can if patient wait for individual lights to appear on the for sale section and they can go for as little as 250 each. However you will he lucky to find a set for under 600 unless a breaker isn't aware of the potential value. I waited over a year and paid well over 600 but it was worth it IMO. A dealer will charge over 600 just for one side!!
  4. Not for me but someone else looking for a new bannana bar near Manchester?
  5. The electric handbrake is the worst idea auto makers have ever devised. I despise them ever since a Passat company car I was driving decided to stick on during rush hour traffic. Useless idea!!
  6. Daddy cool, looking superb.
  7. Agreed, prefer the black over the silver.
  8. I used to cover mine in cling film for the service What about the stearing wheel Sorry. Had. to. Yes and the steering wheel Don't knock it until you've tried it
  9. I used to cover mine in cling film for the service
  10. I'm not keen on alcantara, the only car I ever had it in was a racing puma. The slightest bit of dirt on your hands transferred straight on to it, eventually it bobbled so needed a re trim.
  11. Looks good but I'm sticking with the orange for now
  12. Great thanks, they certainly look cool.
  13. I fitted some facelift OEM lights today. No issues aside from a few snapped bumper bolts. They work fine but I just wanted to know if the strip of orange LED lights on the top edge are normal on UK cars?

    help!

Maybe you've answered your own query, fuel pump? Check your fuses etc
  15. Well I'm still waiting for my new front lights to arrive so I thought I would prep the front bumper for removal when they do. Four hours later and a tin of WD40 all bolts off! What a nightmare this can be if the car is 12 years old and the bumper has never been off before. Only three of the bolts were not seized solid and two of the under tray bolts just snapped off Stupid self tappers and clips that needed a pair of grips to keep them still to avoid ripping the plastic under tray and bumper. Anyway, all lubed and ready for removal when the lights arrive
  16. To me it looks like the illegitimate child of an Aston and a Jag XF with its arse chopped off.
  17. Ditto on the carbon interior parts.
  18. Can't wait mate. I'm on annual leave all next week too
  19. Lights still not here mate.Im hoping by the end of play tomorrow. Yeah I think the arch liners may need replacing. So I'm assuming the washer jets were also changed in the facelift. I'm more concerned about mounting points for the bumper.
  20. The facelift of my 05 DE is nearly complete. What modifications are required to fit a face lift front bumper? Thanks
