  3. Shame you can't get a bonnet in I'm only in Basingstoke
  4. That vehicle was travelling faster than 15 mph when he hit the brakes. Impact with the golf was obviously lower.
  5. Speak to Hdev mate.Unless you already have and they couldn't help.
  6. I've always used the same Dyno at Hdev on my DE, at no stage have I taken any bhp figure given as a true measure of actual power, however I do take note of improvements from the first run conducted in gains from the mods done. The first Uprev map and service gave a figure of 281 and after the map 295.The only mods were exhaust and HFCs at that point. Yesterday after new plugs, clutch, plenum spacer and 06 airbox mod with performance panel she ticked just over 306. This wasn't remapped just put on the dyno to see whether anything had changed. Engine wise it would seem I had a strong car to begin with and the service history shows no more than 7k miles between services and it's now on 92k. When removing the old plenum to put on the polished one (bling) it was noted the oil filler surround was clamped between the top cover and the bottom indicating a spacer had previously been fitted by an ex owner, when doing the clutch we discovered a short shift kit had also been put on by a previous owner. In short the previous keeper of the car was an enthusiast that cared for it very well, the way it drives overrides dyno figures for me tbh. On a side note there was an HR at Hdev lovely looking nismo kit plus usual mods etc that had recently had uprated cams fitted and it was pushing out 346 on the same dyno.
  7. Another thanks to the lads another top service here again today. Rear discs and pads, polished plenum and spacer fitted, new plugs. Lovely. Jez wasn't in so no map adjustment but they put the car on the dyno to see if the plenum spacer had any affect on figures. 11 bhp gain on my original uprev map to 306 bhp. Happy bunny.
  8. Normally caused by either a bulb seated incorrectly or the levelling system is shot.
  9. The auto dip function on many modern cars is flawed, They just don't dip as early as they should IMO.
  10. Today 23rd GM with K&N window sticker came off the Winchester roundabout and turned left up the hill on to the dual carriageway . Sounded nice
  11. Love the sound of these I only wish AMG did manuals Enjoy
  12. I've got an MOT in October, last year the emissions were excellent having just fitted new HFCs. Since then the car has been uprev mapped and it was found to be running to lean. My concern is the emissions will be affected this year due to a richer mix.
  13. Lovely cars, good choice.
  14. No he didn't lol but did mention seeing the light, or should I say face lift lights.
  15. Haha they wouldn't stand a chance of converting me to any delusion but talking cars is a different story
  16. So our bi annual door knocking by the watchtower brigade happened just now.I saw them walking down the close and prepared my usual athiest conversation peice to fob them off. One of them seemed to linger by the Z on the drive checking the car out and nodding in appreciation. I answered the door and stated I was athiest and not really interested when the chap piped up and said "Ok well forget about belief let's chat about the Z". Turns out him and his wife have a Fairlady and their son has a mid engined conversion Supra. He said he was a mechanical engineer and was very knowledgeable regarding Jap cars having done the Supra conversion for his son's time trial antics. He's not a forum member as he said his last foray online almost led to an addiction lol. Certainly had a good chat as his wife stood there impatiently looking rather annoyed Forget religion the power of the petrolhead surpasses all, it was certainly a different jehova visit than usual.
  17. Passenger side I believe is bank 2
  18. If you have a rattle at the rear get your head under the rear bumper and check the heat shield above the back box. Mine did this as the shield came loose on one side. The bolts holding it on either side just need taking out and re inserting with larger washers to clamp the shield nice and tight.
  19. Bank 2 rear O2 sensor, best to fit OEM and not aftermarket. No harm in replacing the sensor but a proper diagnostic would be advised. Check connector to make sure it's sound as a failure could be electrical as the wires are exposed to the elements under the car. Worst case scenario maybe a failed Cat. I replaced all of mine and still had the codes coming up so replaced the standard Cats with HFCS. Again after that the rear sensors played up periodically so eventually an Uprev map deleted them completely. I can't remember what I paid without trawling through my receipts but one side was more expensive than the other
