Zafira would be my choice, you don't need to lug the seats out when you do a tip run etc

If you opt for the HR check for oil pressure issues. Also check for clutch and slave work done. A better engine when it's working as it should but I would argue it's not actually as robust as the DE.

Swapped s2000 for my new zed (good or bad)

The NSX was a dream to own, not as sharp as more modern fare but seemed to have the right balance regarding the damping. The interior was fairly dated but intuitive and very well put together, even the seat leather although slightly creased had no wear at 80k miles. The driving position was supercar laid back and with that postbox rear window and howling vtec behind your head it felt like an exotic thing indeed. Mine was an early car with the 3.0 five speed combo and retro pop up lights. I still know the guy I sold her to and it's currently valued at around 35k. I sold it for 17!!! I'm glad I had the chance to own one though, I would have preferred a later 3.2 but at the time funds wouldn't allow it The way it made you feel has yet to be bettered by anything I've owned since. My old S2k was white with the old red leather, red overload to be honest and being an early car could get back happy even on dry roads if you accidentally stepped on the loud pedal at the wrong time. Again though it was well screwed together and every drive was an event. The DC2 was awesome and the first type R I had, aside from a shagged seat bolster it was mint and again a champ white UK car. I have driven many front drivers and it rates as one of the best tbh. The EP3 civic was a result of my second child being born and needing something "practical". I really quite enjoyed it but being a pre face early car the headlights were shocking and the steering wasn't quite as good as the tegs for feel being assisted. It was sharp yes and turn in was good but at lower speeds felt delayed and dimwitted. I believe the later facelift had a different caster arrangement and was better. The DC5 was obviously not as scalpel sharp as the DC2 but the more linear power delivery from the ivtec and the few extra horses and hydraulic rack made it a better everyday car than both the 2 and EP3. I too have a 54 Z now it was the default option after a dismal E46 M3 experience and I've not regretted it one bit, lots of lazy low end torque and one of the best sounding exhaust notes out there I love it -

I had a serious Honda fetish before becoming a family man Started with a DC2 teg then an EP3 followed by a DC5, S2k (an early one) and finally an NSX. Loved them all tbh. Welcome to Z land. -
I've always found Volvo seats to be very comfortable especially on longer journeys. Damn good choice, plus you can do a tip run no problem

I imagine any vehicle with a sporting intention visually can encourage others to misbehave. A very common trait especially on faster A roads and motorways is for the fastest moving vehicle to act as a barrier to others with regards speeding offences. For example if a person is in lane three of a motorway doing 90 you will inevitably find others using that vehicle as a benchmark because it is effectively ploughing the road should there be a police trap ahead. Most drivers are also naturally territorial and can become very competitive should they feel someone is gaining what is perceived to be an unfair advantage.

Mercedes Citan poverty 109, basically a Renault Kangoo with a different nose

BMW drivers have had their crown taken firmly by Audi drivers now Funnily enough I know a chap with the latest Seat Leon Cupra sporty number. An impressive and dare I say fast car with the DSG etc, he drives that like a loon tbh. True though that you can't generalise about a particular marque and it owners. Your either a prat on the road or your not regardless.

I had this issue before my battery died last year, headlights pulsed erratically.

Lovely, just do what I did and get some facelift OEM headlights. Sets off the grey nicely and with those wheels will look fantastic

Owner catches service garage in drive thru.

If this happened to me, the shop owner would wish he'd never been born (and the same goes for the guy above with the 60 miles in the airport parking). I'd give them such a huge problem, they'd never do it again. Makes me angry just reading all these stories, who the F do these cowboys think they are? Many of you guys are FAR too lenient on them, and while that is your choice, you should also remember that every person who lets them get away with it, encourages them to do it to the next guy. Don't forget, the Z is famous for one thing really, being a natural drifter. When these a-holes take your cars, you can bet your life they are drifting them aggressively. Check your tires. Oh I can assure you I did kick up a stink . I always take a time stamped picture of the mileage when I drop a car off anywhere. The car itself was a Ford racing puma and was essentially my fair weather garage queen and quite a rare car (500) produced. With this being the case I was rather fastidious with maintenance etc hence the respray work to get her ready for show season. Suffice as to say after taking advice the respray cost me 500 notes rather than the original 4k we had originally agreed. -
I had issues with these stupid bolts and tabs when taking off the bumper. After dremmel time I replaced them with plastic pop clips.
-
Nice cheap fix then

Damn fine cars good choice.

I took a car in for a respray and when I picked it up there was 500 miles added to the odo! -
Tailgating cars cause the following course of action for me. Text book mode kicks in and I instantly increase the distance between the car in front of me to allow the tool behind a safe overtake should the need arise, then it's bang on speed limit time, plenty of forward speed planning and minimal use of the brakes to encourage them to either overtake or drop back knowing they can't rely on a brake light as a warning. Psychologically they realise they are doing something wrong as they are braking all the time and I'm not. Also this ensures that if they do hit me at least my driving was ok and assists the rear end shunt claim should it end in investigation (usually straight forward tbh) Where it is safe to overtake I will posture nearer the nearside to allow them a better view to overtake and basically say "of you go then".

EVO generally have Zs under 60k miles, it's a staple of his business and he knows his stuff. I looked at a couple he had when I was looking to shift the M3. Unfortunately the M had to many miles on it for his liking so I went elsewhere.

Not me but I see the one in CBP a fair bit.

I've done the bannanas droplinks and tomorrow the lower arms as I have a cracked bush where the bottom of the damper fork connects to the lower arm. If it's still there after tomorrow it's the anti roll bar bushes next. The current knock isn't as harsh as worn bananas and only happens if the suspension on the off side gets a proper jolt. This is what led me to check the bush at the base of the damper.
-
Having only had the new compression bannana arms and droplinks on for 8k the shake test on the MOT yesterday has created another front end knock on the O/S front. After having a good poke around the only thing I can see is a cracked bush on the lower arm that connects the hub carrier to the chassis. It's the middle bush that the bottom fork of the damper is connected to. I ordered two new arms yesterday and picked them up this morning, damn Z is a nightmare for front end knocks So tempted to say sod it and poly bush everything.

*HELP*FITTED NEW XTREME CLUTCH KIT CAR WONT GO INTO GEAR
Zeezeebaba replied to huseyin's topic in 350Z Technical
Hopefully you get it sorted mate, bleeding through again is a good shout. The problem I had was trapped air in the system. Pedal travel was fine but a further bleed revealed a small amount of trapped air, this in turn as strange as it sounds meant it couldn't accomadate the small increase in thickness of the new clutch plate. Once bled again it was fine.
