Mine are like this too. I just replaced the orange bulbs with silver line clear ones and it doesn't look as bad. Apart from breaking the light apart there's not much else you can do.

One thing is for sure here, once the oil,gas and coal run out owning a car will become very expensive indeed. Mass transit systems are the future. Hopefully I will be six feet under by then. Just no! Awful looking thing and I agree with the white goods sentiment. Also full EV isn't necessarily the future and oil isn't the only source of fuel. EV will be a constitute in the future and will compliment some sort of power generation capacity but it won't be stand alone that's for sure. What's the range on one of these now, how long is a charge going to take?

Lanchester cars first used disc brakes circa 1902 but the only medium available for pads was copper based and wore quickly. Then I think Daimler perfected them on automotive and aircraft application inter war years. Could be wrong on the second point I will have to check.

Difficult to formulate a definitive opinion on newer cars until they age a bit and one never knows how definitive a successor might be in comparison

Firstly im not condoning these offences. This is clearly a deterrent measure and cash cow designed to scare motorists because the continual cuts to road policing budgets mean there are less people to actually enforce it. Same with mobile phones. The lack of policing on the roads due to budget cuts with more to come this year speaks volumes here. Bottom line is, your less likely to get caught but if you do they can still bring in a decent amount of revenue.

Are the banana bars torqued correctly. I had a knock after replacing all suspension components, turned out to be one of the new banana bars not being tight enough.

I'm all for moving the game on with hot hatches but all the power on tap now is getting silly. If I was forced to buy one with my own money at my age it would be a warm hatch like a fiesta st IMHO a perfect all rounder and plenty fast enough for me.

The prices I've seen are all over the place but this is down to general condition and I would say they have bottomed out. Early cars can be had for 4k but I would imagine these need work unless the mileage is starship high. A decent ish 04 should still fetch no less than 5k private and more at a dealer.

My commute is less at 10 mins max and I have no battery issues. I would second the opinion something is draining your battery overnight. Something on the loom isn't right.
