So after reading a few of the replies, I'll get something other than a beemer Tempted by the GT TDI Golf.. I've had a Jetta before and I assume it's just the same, which is a good thing sinced I loved the car. It's just a bad habit I've gotten in to. For some reason I assume anything 70k and less guarantees nothing will break. I am always really hesitant when looking at cars 80,90k miles.. especially petrols.

Thanks guys. My situation has somewhat changed a little..my budget now stretches to £5k! I've been looking at 1 and 3 series bmw's. Anything I should be looking out for when buying a BMW? Best model of 3 series within 5k budget? Also open to other suggestions of course! Cheers

Upload them to a website, for example http://www.upload.ee/ , copy the code it gives you , looks like this a bit: http://www.upload.ee/image/4231897/IMG_0255.JPG and then once you've got that, when you reply on here, click the image icon next to the speech bubble and pop the url in.

Great stuff - thanks guys. I've sent you a PM Zmanalex.

Hi all, I need to buy a new horn relay for the 350z. They're on eBay but only ship from the US and will take a while to get to me. Anyone selling one perhaps? Cheers

Welcome bud!

What's black, white and red all over...? A nun with sunburn. Two fish's in a tank, one turns to the other and says... "how do you drive this thing??"

Don't know how I've managed it but mine's about £700 for a 10 month policy or £820 ish for 12? I'm 21 with 3 years ncb. I'm with elephant.

Thanks guys. My neighbour saw me with the bonnet up and kindly came out to lend a hand. We've came to the conclusion that the horn relay needs replacing, would something like this be suitable? Cheers

Went out and bought a multimeter and I'm just tinkering with the car at the mo, but I can't seem to find where the horn relays are where I apply the power? I've found what I think are the two horns next to the front right headlight, but not much else. Could anyone be so kind to post a pic or two of where I'm looking? Cheers

Brilliant, thanks. Will give it a go.

I'm yet to take the car to the garage (this coming weekend), but I was wondering if there is a guide on how to test the horn? If I'm not mistaken, you can apply volts directly to it and test if it works? Just thinking it will be easier if I test that and if it doesn't work I can tell the mechanic what I've already done and at the same time I'll also be learning how to fiddle with cars a bit more!! Edit / Also, while I'm here... After driving for about 30-40 meters, wheels/brakes are making a really high pitched 'grasshopper'-sounding noise which stops immediately when the brakes are applied and starts again when I lift off the brakes, is this a warped disc maybe? ..Cheers!

Very! Surprised how many people walk past and compliment, and the amount of stares you get!! Here she is: My plan is to get it wrapped like this: http://pwpro.co.uk/p...lio/nissan-350z Need to save up first, had a quote for £1250+VAT!

Fair enough. You definitely need a working horn for the MOT so it will need fixing plus with all the idiots on the roads nowadays it's only a matter of time before someone cuts you up & you'll definitely need a horn for that. Good luck and let us know what it was once it's sorted. Might help others out. Yup - that's how I found out it didn't work haha! And yes, will do. Thanks for everyones help.
-
Cheers - probably a garage job for me, don't feel too comfortable doing that!

None missing, ...mine looks the same. The horn fuse is the 4th one along from the right ~ blue 15amp fuse. Just pull it out to see if it's blown or not. If it is it will look similar to the pic below with a break in the metal strip inside. Just had a check, fuse looks normal. Any more ideas?
-
Thanks for the suggestions. I took a look at the fuse compartment. However, not too sure what I'm meant to do after that? Might be a bit dopey of me, but to me it looks like some are missing?... RE cruise control; I tried it again before and lifted the clutch up with my foot and it seemed to work OK!

Thanks guys Will get some pics soon!

Yup, have tried pressing it hard! I would but he is a few hundred miles away!! I will give him a ring tomorrow but I was wondering if it was something I'd be able to fix myself rather than drive for 200 miles haha.

Hi guys, Bought my first 350z a few days ago. It's a 2005 GT. Two things I've noticed after buying: Nothing happens when pressing the horn When pressing cruise, light appears as normal. I flick the 'set' switch and nothing happens. Any ideas? I'm not very technical when it comes to cars so go easy if possible please
