  1. Yeah, all set up no problem at all... good bit of kit and even 1080 content looks much better than it did on my old TV. That's good to hear. I got a refund on my faulty one and have ordered the curved model from John Lewis instead.
  2. Did your Samsung arrive Commander......up and running working ok?
  3. It's a remote box with four HDMI ports, satellite & aerial input and optical input. You connect your devices to this and this then connects to your TV via one cable. On back of the TV itself (on the model I had anyway) it only has usb, common interface slot, ethernet port and connection for the one box cable. More can be read here under connections and control https://www.avforums...tv-review.12659 Paddy beat me to it
  4. I took delivery of the Samsung UE55KS7000 on Saturday ordered from Currys, had problems all weekend trying to set it up. TV just wouldn't recognise that the one connect box was connected, the screen displayed a 'Check the one connect box is connected' message and the TV menu was unresponsive using either of the two remotes that came with it. All I could do was turn the TV on or off with the remotes and wasn't able to access any settings. Many tries of unplugging and reconnecting everything, pairing the smart remote but still wouldn't work. Managed to get it to finally work last night (not sure how) but Sky, Amazon Prime and Xbox one all worked fine and picture looked great, even did a system update. Was looking forward to playing about with the screen settings this morning, turned TV on and again same 'Check the one connect box is connected' message, no input sources recognised and unresponsive menu. Phoned the currys know-how number which just tells you to phone Samsung support direct and they were no help either. Basically had enough so I've boxed it back up and will be taking it back to currys tomorrow for full refund. Nice looking TV though and great picture from what I saw, looks like I'm just unlucky to get a faulty one.
  5. If you can look for corrosion on the chassis side hardline brake pipes on the rears as pic below, take a torch if necessary to get a look through the wheels. I've had mine from new, 2004 (56k miles) and the break pipe has just recently split from corrosion. Andy

  15. If I get around to taking the trim off again I'll stick up some pics but knowing my luck I'll probably break a clip or something But like I say, you don't need to take the trim off to see if the bracket is causing the noise, if you hit the trim you'll hear the metallic knocking. Also hit each corner as only one bracket might be loose so you'll hear the difference.
  16. Thought this was worth mentioning in case anyone else experiences the same issue. Just had a loud metallic knocking noise coming from the rear which would randomly happen when driving over bumps and it sounded just like I had a bag of tools sat in my boot. First thing I checked was to make sure my jack etc and spare wheel were secure (they were) but noise was still happening. I very recently had some BC coilovers fitted by CS, so thought it could be the new suspension (as I know some have had issues with knocking noises from the BC coilovers). Mitz suggested checking that the adjusting collars were tight (they were) and the car handling has been greatly improved since having the coilovers fitted and even when the knocking noise occurred (which was loud enough to be alarming), nothing felt untoward with the handling. Have new drop links fitted so knew it couldn't be them. Was starting to get frustrated Turns out, behind the trim in the boot in the corners (the fabric part) there are two metal brackets (right & left) fixed to the body, which the trim in turn is then fixed to. Bizzarely after 10 years the nuts fixing both brackets to the body had worked themselves loose enough to cause play with the brackets and they were hitting the bodywork causing the knocking noise. Tightened the nuts back up and so far no more knocking noise. If you tap the trim in the corners you'll hear the metallic knocking if these brackets are indeed loose. The plastic trim is easy enough to remove (with a bit of patience!) so you can get access to tighten the nuts holding the bracket. Hope this helps. If I hadn't been frustrated at the time I would have taken some photos of these brackets whilst the trim was off.
  17. I've made a couple of 4 hour round trips just to have Mitz and Andy work on my Z and no doubt there will be more trips in the future.....just top guys all round.
