Newbie to the Z phenomenon 😀

Hello and welcome 👋 -
Nice, thanks for letting us know. I'm considering a new air filter for my zed and I'm considering HKS or K&N.

As mentioned by Gareth, I had it to keep stuff out of sight to avoid thief breaking into my zed. Also it looks cool from the front rather than just a black hole IMHO

Tiny bit over the budget but worth the extra I4N's custom boot divider http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/69257-350z-vertical-tonneau-cover-boot-divider/

So I've decided to make my own DRL for my zed. The plan is to buy a set of DRL of Ebay, remove the LEDs, buy a clear side reflectors, transplant the LEDs into the clear reflectors, then buy a set of controller and finally test and install them on my zed. Here's the DRL donor comes from --> http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251407865878?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Here's me removing the casing, its really well secured with silicon so I decided to cut them out. Took about 20mins to remove the first one as I've been really careful not to damage anything as I haven't seen what's inside it. 2nd unit took about 5 mins as I've seen what's inside and can chop them confidently. Pics: When the PCB board being removed from the casing and I've also trim down the silver reflector as I will be keeping them to hide the PCB, keeping it tidy since I'm using clear/tranparent reflector. The 3 cables will be replaced with new longer cables, so some soldering work there. Will be ordering these from the state --> http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291403451008?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Tested the DRLs and I think I might have an issue with them. The DRL PBC has some sort of circuit build in to it. The white LEDs will be permanently on and when the trigger receive signal from the indicator, it will cut off the white LEDs and only the amber LEDs will light up. However, I think when indicator is on, it will actually flash amber, white, amber, white........until I cancel the indicator switch. However, the issue above only when I tested them with a 12V power supply. Hopefully it will not do that when I actually connect them on the car. Else I'll need to copy a circuit that I managed to find on Google. Expecting to get them on the car somewhere in May 2015, will be busy with work from next week onwards so this will need to park for a bit.

My colleague managed to help to machine this little spacer during his spare time. Here's the dimensions if you fancy getting one made yourself (these dimensions only works for the knob I got from Clarks Motorsport) Inner bore diameter 13.5mm Top outer diameter 27mm Bottom outer diameter 35mm Overall height 15mm Bottom ring height 10mm Material - Aluminium Pic before the spacer Pics after the spacer, looks really good with the spacer on. Blends in much better now IMHO Overall, very happy with it.

Hello and welcome 👋 -
Have you ever wondered how many horses are still living in the engine? Have you modified your car recently and wondered how many extra horses you have in the engine? If you answered ‘Yes’ to any of the answers above, or just wanted to witness how Dyno works in real time……..here’s your chance!! As for me, I'm just interested to know how much horses I have in my zed. I'm going to book myself (£20 + VAT for 1 run) in but thought I might as well speak to them and see if I can get a good deal for 350z-uk.com members too, which he did (see below) Found this place as recommended by my mate and did some research seems to be famous within the MX-5 community. Company: Autotronix Developments http://autotronixdevelopments.co.uk/services/rolling-road/ Address: School Road, Laughton en le Morthen, Sheffield, S25 1YP Date: 11th April 2015 (Slot booked) Time: 10am start Price: £30 including VAT for 2 power runs (ideally 10-12 cars max) I'm also advertising this at work (to make up numbers to get this price/deal) but priority will be given to 350z-uk.com members Let me know if you are interested. Edit: Just spoken to Clive again and confirmed that no deposit needed. He says even if I don't get full 10-12 cars, he'll still honour the £30 per car for 2 power runs. 1.) Veeg33 (350z-uk) - 350z stock 2.) 3.) 4.) 5.) 6.) 7.) 8.) 9.) Alex (work) - MX-5 stock' ish 10.) James (work) - RX-7 - Turbocharged 11.) Tom (work)- Mercedes stock (just for fun) 12.) Chris (work) - Grasser with Jaguar V8 supercharged (please copy and paste the list if possible, thanks) Disclaimer: I have no connection or whatsoever connection with Autotronix Development Ltd. Sheffield. I just fancy a power run and thought I share this deal with fellow members.

Trouble with electrics (Mainly Key Fob) HELP!!!
veeg33 replied to Shezad93's topic in 350Z Technical
My zed came with only 1 key fob and I just recently brought another one off ebay (refurb). Never trust myself with just one fob and if I lost my only key fob, it's expensive to replace. +1 as DoogyRev said, replace key fob battery and check your car battery. -

+1 on them alloys! Love them! What are they?

Can't really go wrong or complain with that tbh. My work colleague who is good with the machines will be machining a spacer for my gear knob. Hopefully he can get it sorted next week.

A small mod today, got them from EBay to replace the old gear stick gaiter. It also comes with gaiter for handbrake, all in for £15 delivered was pretty good.
