  1. I did struggle getting mine removed. Try tighten it a little bit before loosening it. I ended up damaging the original knob (not too bothered) and managed to get it off. Check out my build thread (link in my signature below) for tools that i've used.
  2. I'm so tempted with this....... Lucky you are no where near me GLWTS.

    engine blown

Hope you'll get to the bottom of it soon and costing you minimum.
  4. Yep, all component arrived. Just need to split the reflector and back casing. I'm soaking them in hot soapy water now, tomorrow will put them in the freezer. Then I'm going to buy a set of hobby knife hopefully it will split easily without damaging anything. Once everything is done, I'll then have to pick a good weekend (no rain) to disassemble my front bumper and lights. I live in an apartment hence all this has to happen on the visitor's car park.
  5. Same here, I always enjoy washing my zed but absolutely hate it when I start spotting new scratches on it and start cursing like a mad man! Almost every time I wash it! Not impressed but I had to wash it.
  6. I'll be getting some silvertec bulbs too to replace the amber/orange indicator bulbs since I'll be removing the front bumper and lights. Dipped/side lights will also be replaced with LED 501s. And also considering a 6k DR2 to replace current warm white. Thinking of going the full blue ish tint white look
  7. Thanks Steve. I just checked earlier today. The DRL itself has a switch back relay build in, so it will not flash white and amber when I indicate. And I've also double checked the controller that i've brought, it's got 4 functions; 1.) Auto switch on the DRL when I start the engine. 2.) Switch off white LEDs completely when I indicate. 3.) White DRL will remain on for about 20 seconds when I switch off my engine. 4.) Dim the DRL by 30% ish when dipped lights are switched on. (to comply with the law) Here's the wiring diagram Side light = indicator Width lamp = dipped light
  8. Finally they arrived from USA after a week. The front clear reflector is sealed with superglue or some sort of adhesive to the back casing. Not happy bunny! I was hoping it was silicone so that I can bake them and separate them so implant the LED PCB. After some Google'ing, managed to find some info. 1.) Soak in hot soapy water, hope the water will slowly dissolved the superglue a little bit and slowly split them apart. 2.) Soak in boiling water, that should also do the above and soften the superglue ready to be split. 3.) Put them in freeze and freeze them for few days. Apparently the cold will shrink the superglue hence they will start cracking and makes is easy to split. 4.) As above but freeze with water. 5.) If all the above fails, I can start using hobby knife and try to cut it or as a last resort, cut the back casing to size so that I can fit the PCB in and seal it back with silicone. Sounds like a mission! Hopefully it will split, which will make it easier to seal back. Anyone done this before? Any tips or best practice sharing?
