  1. Glad I've managed to sort this out for free =) and had fun disassemble the door card etc.
  2. Managed to remove door card and service the whole system including the motor. Followed this guide here - - > http://my350z.com/forum/maintenance-and-repair/361241-how-to-repair-stuck-broken-window-motor.html The guide was really good hence I don't bother to take any pics n create another guide. Basically there are too many crap around the motor's core. Gave it a good clean with contact cleaner, added grease to every sliding and moving components, did the window reset (instructions are in the link above as well) and everything is working as it should now. Took me around 1 hour 30mins in total.
  3. Get some gummy pledge -> https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gummi-Pflege-Rubber-Stick-100ml/dp/B007TNOQDI and treat them seals around your doors. Seals on our Zed are pretty tired now and moisture gets trapped in-between window and stiffen up seal......hence frozen up......Give them Gummy Pledge ago, have a search on google, as you might get them cheaper. Worth a try.
  4. Hello and welcome Colin. You got it there (ish). Low beam is Xenon (D2R), the high beam is Halogen (H7) and side are 501 type. - Based on 2004 model. You can check here --> http://www.autobulbs...d-xenon-2005-05
  5. Just checked them rubber switch. Seems to be working fine. I guess the mechanism is seized. I can't even lower the window now. Will try to give it a quick service (grease and clean) and see if this helps. Else I will give Alex a PM.
  6. This might explain why I've been hearing weird sound when I shut the door, thinking about it now. It sounded like it's dampened by rubber....
  7. Thanks mate, none of my search on 350z uk mentioned this =) Glad i asked the question
  8. After a few ups and downs, the window seems to move freely with no issue but still doesn't drop when i open the doors. Hence suspect the mechanism needs some grease but i might get a preowned motor and do everything whilst I'm at it.
  9. Passenger window not working 100% recently, not sure if this was due to winter or just coincidence. Needs a few go on the button to lower my window and sometimes jammed half way going up. I need to lower it again before it goes back up again. When i press the button, i can hear a click from the motor but it seems like the mechanism has high resistance ie motor has reached it max power and can't move the mechanism. And when I open the passenger's door, the window doesn't go down a few centimeters as it normally should. I have to lower it manually (if this works, before i can shut the door to avoid breaking the window when I shut the door). So, i'm planning to remove door card and grease the mechanism and probably perform the window reset. Anyone has similar experience and I would like to know how you resolve this? Is it worth getting a new window motor and replace it since I'm removing the door card? Any help/advice is much appreciated, Thanks.
  10. I use Lockwood & Greenwood in Manchester, again a bit far away from Leeds. You can book a courtesy car and drive into Manchester while you wait.
  11. Bumper off again and watch the reservoir fill up? Does yours has 1 or 2 reservoirs? I'm guesssing it will automatically fill the 2nd reservoir, washer fluid being transferred slowly to 2nd hence if have emptied both, might take longer to fill up both? ie you might need to refill again sometime later when it's transferred to the next? I might be wrong. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/18660-how-to-remove-the-front-bumper/ - OP only has one, post no2 has 2.
